Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 12 VOC, 10 respon teknis, dan urutan prioritas perbaikan secara berturut-turut yaitu (1) penggunaan material pada alat (plastik atau stainless steel), (2) berat alat, (3) diameter pegangan, (4) diameter alat pembuka tutup galon, (5) jumlah fitur tambahan pada alat, (6) jumlah gerakan dalam penggunaan alat, (7) panjang pegangan, (8) tenaga yang digunakan, (9) pemilihan warna (merah, kuning, hijau), dan (10) biaya produksi.</p><p><strong>Kata Kunci:</strong> <em> Voice of Customer, Quality Function Deployment, House of Quality</em></p><p><em><br /></em></p><p><em>The bottled water sales industry continues to grow in line with the high demand for clean water by the community. The market share of the bottled water industry to the beverage industry reaches 84% and accounts for 3.3% of gross domestic product (GDP). Gallon packaging is one of the packages that is widely used by the community today. Several problems were encountered when opening the gallon cap. These problems can be overcome by developing a product for a gallon cap opener that is tailored to customer needs or Voice of Customer (VOC). VOC was collected and translated through two questionnaires, namely an open questionnaire and a closed questionnaire. The first questionnaire is the process of collecting data through open interviews with gallon water customers. Meanwhile, the second questionnaire was distributed to the same customers for further assessment. The method used in this research is Quality Function Deployment (QFD) by creating a House of Quality (HOQ) matrix. The results showed that there were 12 VOCs, 10 technical responses, and a priority order of improvement in succession, namely (1) the use of material on the tool (plastic or stainless steel), (2) the weight of the tool, (3) the diameter of the handle, (4) the diameter of the tool. gallon cap opener, (5) the number of additional features on the tool, (6) the number of movements in the use of the tool, (7) the length of the handle, (8) the power used, (9) color selection (red, yellow, green), and (10) production costs.</em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong><em> Voice of Customer, Quality Function Deployment, House of Quality</em></p><p><em><br /></em></p>

The main purpose of this paper is to contribute to building Resilient Organization issues. The author discusses a psychological approach to resilience, from Robert Jay Lifton’s to Martin Seligman’s conceptual perspectives. The main objective of the paper is to discuss the chance of using so-called character strengths as a useful tool in resilience-oriented training courses dedicated to managers of various types of organizations. The author has conducted a workshop on “character strengths in the workplace”. The empirical basis for the mentioned workshop is qualitative, narrative research which was carried out a few years back. This initial result of the study reveals some of the examples of collective categories in which two groups of managers (from public administration and sales industry) foresee a possibility of using character strengths in the optimization of managerial work tasks.

Unlike its American counterpart, the Chinese financial industry has been challenged by tech giants through their digital platforms. As the entrance of the asset management industry, the fund sales industry is at the center of the revolution, with commercial banks and tech giants fighting for its control. Some scholars have discussed the competition, but none of them discussed the competition by comparing their common features as platforms. Moreover, the competition is in a two-sided multihoming market that has long been ignored by scholars but will prevail in the future. With similar coverage rates for both fund managers and investors, how do fintechs use information and digital technology gobbling a big chunk of commercial banks’ profit. This article filled the gap by examining the common features of commercial banks and tech giants as platforms, including membership externality, usage externality, and multihoming behavior. Usage externality is crucial in this competition. It promoted market efficiency by unlocking the scale effect and using big data analysis. However, unlike the competition between other platforms, membership externality has little impact on the competition among commercial banks and tech giants. With prevailing multihoming behaviors to a high degree, newly entered platforms provided almost no additional membership externality.

© 2017, Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg. We design and evaluate an IT strategy development framework for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The framework’s objective is to provide a theoretically grounded, empirically validated, uncomplicated, and accessible framework to develop an IT strategy for an SME. The framework is a social artifact whose purpose is to guide the design of two other artifacts: an IT strategy process and an IT strategy plan. We rely on design science research, combined with action research, to design, apply, evaluate, and refine the framework in a specific SME in the sales industry. People responsible for managing the IT in an SME can use the framework to design or refine their IT strategy, in order to make better-informed IT strategy decisions, to improve the utilization of their SME’s usually scarce IT resources, and ultimately increase their IT’s business value contribution. We also gain an enhanced understanding of IT strategies’ role in SMEs and provide methodological implications for social artifact design.
