This paper presents a new method for supplying nutrients to the farm. This novel method uses IoT and Wireless Sensor Network in Farming. Soil Moisture sensor and humidity sensor monitor the soil properties. These results are updated to the IoT Server. Based on the values for humidity of the soil, drip irrigation to the plant is on/off through solenoid valve. In addition this paper concentrates on quantitative analysis of requirement of nutrients for the plant to avoid overdose or insufficiency of them. This work trains the machine using precision agriculture for supplying required nutrient to the plant using solenoid on/off valve through drip irrigation. It also alerts the user by sending SMS (Short Messaging Service) through GSM to the user on fertigation date and pesticides spraying date. This will be very helpful for the farmers to remember the fertigation date in their various activities. The limitation of this work is that the fertilizers used will only be liquid in state. This technology can also be improved to a large level agricultural production.

Abstract There is an ongoing and established need for humanitarian training and professionalization. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted training programs designed to accomplish this goal, including the Humanitarian Response Intensive Course, which includes a three-day immersive simulation to prepare humanitarian workers for future field work. To provide program continuity, the three day simulation was quickly adapted to a virtual format using a combination of video conferencing, short messaging service, and cloud-based file storage software. Participants were geographically dispersed and participated virtually. Learning objectives were preserved while some components not amenable to a virtual format were removed. A virtual humanitarian training simulation is a feasible, acceptable, and affordable alternative to an in-person simulation. Participants were engaged and experienced minimal technological disruptions. The majority of students felt the format met or exceeded expectations. However, feedback also emphasized the importance of providing sufficient time for team collaboration and deliverable preparation in the simulation schedule. The virtual format was more affordable than the traditional in-person simulation and diverse expert faculty who could not have attended in-person were able to participate. This format could be used to overcome other barriers to in-person simulation training, including geographic, financial, time, or security.

Two factor authentications had two entry levels for authentication’s mechanism. This study had used Short Messaging Service (SMS) technology as a second factor in doing authentication on the web application. It can minimize the problems that occur regarding to the illegal access over the user privacy information on the Internet. The system that uses two factor authentications is capable to give the priority and safety in aspect of user’s privacy information from the web based applications

Nowadays, Technology has been a part of human life. in the world of agriculture, the existence of technology greatly helps plant productivity. Automation in the world of agriculture becomes the new norm, in many aspects of the field, such as in optimizing plant growth. One particular plant which requires delicate environment condition is white asparagus which could only grow optimally under low to no light environment. This project is a device to detect light in the plant room. When the light intensity passes certain threshold, an alarm is activated and a warning message is sent through Short Messaging Service to the owner’s cellphone. In addition, this device is also equipped by fire sensor to detect fire in the planting area and provides warning through the same channel. The test of the device gave promising results to be developed further in real planting area.

BACKGROUND The healthcare system in most of the developing countries has been struggling to provide high-quality services. This limitation has negatively affected the performance and safety of healthcare personnel, as well as patients’ satisfaction. OBJECTIVE To provide an overview of the current knowledge of integrating human factors/ergonomics technology to improve healthcare service delivery in developing nations METHODS The authors reviewed the current literature focusing on mhealth interventions in developing countries. This review included the integration of mobile phone applications as well as Short Messaging Service (SMS). RESULTS Previous research on the integration of mhealth in developing countries focused on the use of mobile phone applications and SMS text messaging. However, the effectiveness of such programs has not to be reported in most of these studies. CONCLUSIONS Although little research was found in the implementation of mhealth technologies such as the Short Messaging Service (SMS) to improve healthcare service delivery in the developing nations, the effectiveness of such programs has not been reported. Therefore, future research should focus on evaluating the outcomes of mhealth interventions to ensure that patients in developing countries have access to high-quality healthcare services.

The Examination of Corruption Cases of District Government Officials by Investigators This study aims to answer the process of examining corruption cases against district government officials by investigators. This reality requires prudence, professionalism, and responsibility in carrying out governmental tasks by regional officials. This research uses the fact that shows that although they have worked professionally, honestly, fairly and responsibly, it is also possible for a regional official to be a suspect or witness of a corruption case, especially related to the position entrusted to him. For this reason, their rights as witnesses or suspects must be optimally granted. However there are still summons to regional officials by investigators that are done by using short messages via cell phone or sms (short messaging service), summons without going through or being known by superiors, even the calling of the Regent is not in accordance with the provisions of the Law Number 11/2006 concerning the Government of Aceh, so that investigators felt they still lacked respect for the law in handling witnesses and suspects who came from regional officials.
