The paper presents the results of experimental study of the tribotechnical properties of lubricants on a unit that simulates the geometric, kinematic and force similarity of well drilling conditions. Bearings with different radial clearances and the same chemical-thermal treatment were investigated. Data registration was carried out on cathode, loop oscilloscopes and electronic recorders. The load on the bearing, the moment of rolling resistance on the journal, and the angular speed of rotation of the outer race were recorded. The temperature was registered using artificial and semiartificial thermocouples. A strobotachometer was used to determine the portable speed of the rolling bodies. The external appearance of all rolling elements was investigated, metallographic analysis of thin surface layers of all rolling elements was carried out, mathematical processing of test results was carried out. It is shown that for the express assessment of the tribotechnical properties of lubricants, the amplitude value of the oscillation of the rolling resistance moment can be used. Keywords: friction; lubrication; tribotechnical Properties; drilling.

The disadvantage of antifriction Al–Sn alloys with high tin content is their low bearing capacity. To improve this property, the aluminum matrix of the alloys was alloyed with zinc. The powder of Al–10Zn alloy was blended with the powder of pure tin in the proportion of 40/60 (wt.%). The resulting mixture of the powders was compacted in briquettes and sintered in a vacuum furnace. The sintered briquettes were subjected to subsequent pressing in the closed press mold at an elevated temperature. After this processing, the yield strength of the sintered (Al–10Zn)–40Sn composite was 1.6 times higher than that of the two-phase Al–40Sn one. The tribological tests of the composites were carried out according to the pin-on-disk scheme without lubrication at pressures of 1–5 MPa. It was established that the (Al–10Zn)–40Sn composite has higher wear resistance compared with the Al–40Sn one. However, this advantage becomes insignificant with an increase in the pressure. It was found that the main wear mechanism of the investigated composites under the dry friction process is a delamination of their highly deformed matrix grains.

The morphology and tribotechnical properties of Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) monolayers and multilayers of some fatty acids, such as nervonic (NA), cerotic (CA) and montanic acids (OCA), was investigated. It was established that the wear resistance of silicon surface coated by LB monolayer of OCA is greater by 11 and 1.3 times in comparison with the LB monomolecular films of NA and CA, respectively. The multilayer of OCA, formed by 140 layers, increases the stability of steel surface by 35 times.

The article presents the results of a study of diffusion chromium plating of stainless steel X20Cr13 by iodine transport. The main kinetic laws of the process - the effect of temperature and time of chromium plating on the thickness of the coatings - have been studied. It is shown that the main phases of the coating are chromium carbides and nitrides with surface microhardness HV up to 15 GPa. The tribotechnical properties of the obtained coatings on rollers - friction pairs are determined.

Methodological approaches to the implementation of the nanostate phenomenon in the formation of the optimal structure of composite materials and metal-polymer systems at different levels of organization have been developed. The concept of energy and technological conformity of the components of functional composite materials and systems is proposed. This concept consists in ensuring the parameters of composite materials energy characteristics adequate to the value of the activation energy of the prevailing structural process, which determines the optimal parameters of stress-strain, adhesion and tribotechnical properties under technological influences on the components in the process of obtaining composite and its processing. The concept has been tested in the development of nanocomposites based on industrial polymer matrices, which surpass analogues in terms of service properties.

The article presents the results of studies of the tribotechnical properties of composite thermosetting polymeric materials based on an epoxy compound and ultrasonicated oligomeric fillers operating under conditions of contact interaction with a pulp using the example of raw cotton. Regularities of changes in tribotechnical properties (coefficient of friction, intensity of wear) of composite thermosetting epoxy polymeric materials associated with their filling with organomineral fillers and ultrasonic treatment, in contact with raw cotton have been revealed. The temperature and the magnitude of the electrostatic charge arising in the friction zone of rubbing polymer- cotton and composite-cotton pairs on the type and content of organic-mineral fillers were studied.
