Berbagai upaya dilakukan mencegah meluasnya penularan Covid-19 termasuk vaksinasi. Metode penyuluhan melalui penyebaran Google form berisi video penyuluhan yang disebar melalui WhatsApp, diharapkan memperluas cakupan sasaran penyuluhan, meningkatkan pengetahuan, mendorong praktek 3-M serta vaksinasi Covid-19.---Various efforts were made to prevent the spread of Covid-19, including vaccinations. One of the efforts chosen was in the form of extension through video media distributed via WhatsApp without having to visit target families during the pandemic period. The video contains material on the facts or myths about Covid-19, definition, causes and transmission of Covid-19, prevention of transmission with 3-M and Covid-19 vaccination. Extension is packaged in a Google form which begins with a pretest question, then a video to be seen and ends with a post-test question. Google forms are spread via WhatsApp on the devices of family members, but some families see them on neighboring devices. Extension is expected to increase the coverage of extension targets, increase target knowledge and encourage 3-M practice and vaccination. Activities carried out by lecturers and students in the Field Learning Experience course. The implementing partners are five heads of Neighborhood Associations and 228 families in rural and urban locations. There was a significant increase (p 0,000) knowledge of Covid-19 as a whole and in each question. There is no significant difference in knowledge change according to gender, level of education and according to residence in rural and urban areas. The method of extension through the distribution of a Google form containing educational videos distributed through WhatsApp is expected to expand the coverage of extension targets, increase knowledge and encourage 3-M practice and Covid-19 vaccination.

In 2019, the University of South Carolina’s Office for the Study of Aging (OSA) remodeled the curriculum for the nationally registered Dementia Dialogues® program that delivers high-quality education to formal and informal caregivers of persons who exhibit signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). This study evaluated new knowledge acquired and program satisfaction by North and South Carolina program participants ( N = 235) after completing updated modules. Pre/post module survey data were analyzed using means and percentiles, McNemar’s test, and paired t tests. Results demonstrated significant positive increases in caregiver knowledge attainment, with differences in overall knowledge change in specific modules among caregivers and noncaregivers ( p < .0001–<.05). Dementia Dialogues® may serve as a useful tool in providing important information that increases caregiver knowledge of persons living with ADRD. Further research is recommended to examine how knowledge improvement translates into caregiving practices.

In two independent yet complementary studies, the current research explored the developmental changes of young children’s conceptualization of learning, focusing the role of knowledge change and learning intention, and its association with their developing theory of mind (ToM) ability. In study 1, 75 children between 48 and 86 months of age (M = 65.45, SD = 11.45, 36 girls) judged whether a character with or without a genuine knowledge change had learned. The results showed that younger children randomly attributed learning between genuine knowledge change and accidental coincidence that did not involve knowledge change. Children’s learning judgments in familiar contexts improved with age and correlated with their ToM understanding. However, the correlation was no longer significant once age was held constant. Another sample of 72 children aged between 40 and 90 months (M = 66.87, SD = 11.83, 31 girls) participated in study 2, where children were asked to judge whether the story protagonists intended to learn and whether they eventually learned. The results suggested that children over-attributed learning intention to discovery and implicit learning. Stories with conflict between the learning intention and outcome appeared to be most challenging for children. Children’s intention judgment was correlated with their ToM understanding, and ToM marginally predicted intention judgment when the effect of age was accounted for. The implication of the findings for school readiness was discussed. Training studies and longitudinal designs in the future are warranted to better understand the relation between ToM development and children’s learning understanding.

The relevance of the study is due to the need to implement the Russian national system of teachers’ professional growth, in the context of strategic priorities (reflected in the national projects “Education” and “Science”), as well as in the context of a new pedagogical reality: digitalization, integration into professional pedagogical education of practical knowledge, change of teachers’ generations, etc. The aim of the study was to develop scientific ideas about the structure and principles of analytical support for updating lifelong education (its structure, content and process). The initial materials of the research were as follows: educational standards and programs in pedagogy (levels of secondary and higher professional education); research materials from leading Russian scientific schools in the field of pedagogical education, etc. The results of the study clearly shown the existing significant backlog of scientific-theoretical and scientific-applied research corresponded with the answers to the main challenges which the system of professional pedagogical education faces nowadays. At the same time, the need was revealed to consolidate the efforts of research teams, as well as the generation of scientific ideas in order to solve problems by the compositions of interregional expert groups. To solve the problem of consolidation, the organization of expert and analytical activities in teacher education has been developed, and its following main components have been identified: network management of expert and analytical activities, coordination of experts on problematic issues in teacher education and its key issues, and development of expert infrastructure.
