During the COVID-19 pandemic, all activities are carried out virtually and the learning process is included in the effort to learn the target language (IL) in the Interlanguge process. The purpose of this article is to identify what applications students use in their respective L2 processes in the interlanguage process. To collect data in this study, researchers used interviews. Data collection was carried out by interviewing with the help of an interview guide conducted with 6 students of SMK Amal Ikhlas Kampar. The results of this study indicate that students use the Youtube application to achieve the target language mastery level in the inter-language process.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning model in learning passing in basketball games. This research method is classified as classroom action research. This research design uses a cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation/evaluation, and reflection. The subjects of the research were students of class X UPW SMK Negeri 4 Mataram, totaling 42 people consisting of 22 male students and 20 female students. This research was conducted for 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 3 meetings. In cycle 1, mastery of individual and classical cycle materials was still lacking because the percentage of student activity had only reached 75%, while the assessment carried out by the teacher was only 80% not yet 100%. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with the achievement of mastery of the material 70% individually and 75% classically. The results of data analysis showed that in the first cycle the students' mastery level of classical material was 72.6% which was in the very poor category and in the second cycle the classical level of mastery of the material was 92% which was in the very good category. so learning outcomes classically from cycle I to cycle II increase by 25%. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan Untuk megetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) dalam pembelajaran passing pada permainan bola basket. Metode Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan siklus yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi/evaluasi, dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X UPW SMK Negeri 4 Mataram yang berjumlah 42 orang terdiri dari 22 siswa putra dan 20 orang siwa putri. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan selama 2 siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 3 kali pertemuan. Pada siklus 1 penguasan materi siklus secara individu dan klasikal masih sangat kurang karena persentase keaktipan siswa baru mencapai 75% sedangkan asesment yang dijalankan guru baru 80% belum mencapai 100%. Data dianalisis menggunakan stastik deskriptif dengan pencapaian penguasan materi 70% secara individu dan 75% secara klasikal. Hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa di siklus I tingkat penguasaan materi siswa secara klasikal adalah72,6% yangberada pada katagori sangat kurang dan siklus II tingkat penguasaan materi secara klasikal adalah 92% yang berada kategori sangat baik. jadi hasil belajar secara klasikal dari siklus I ke siklus II peningkatannya 25%.

Vocabulary learning plays a very important role in the process of learning a language, such as English. To help students improve their vocabulary mastery level, there are various methods that can be used. One of them is using Working with Words through Category Game. In response to this, the program reported in this article was conducted at a junior high school located in the city of Gorontalo Province. The results showed that the use of Working with Words method through Category Game for English vocabulary learning help students increase their English vocabulary mastery level, with the following details: 11 students had 65% to 79% increase of English vocabulary mastery level (Fair); 7 students had 80% to 89% (Distinction); and 5 students had  90% to 100% (High Distinction).

Historically, the language contact contributed by Muslim preachers among the Arab traders of diverse origins that some of them opted to migrate and intermarry with the local Malays, thus, intermingled with the locals that had influenced the Malay/Malaysian language to borrow more Arabic words. Some semantic properties of the loanwords are adopted, but some are adapted. This study concerns with the divergent meaning of some adapted ones. 18 Malay-Arabic homophonous loanwords were purposely sampled – (the limited sample is due to the journal words limit). It is observed that despite of their similar utterance and spelling/transliteration but they have partially or fully dissimilar meanings when being compared between the two languages. Generally, it may confuse users of both languages, specifically the Arabian students who are compulsory to pass the Malay language in order to pass their study in Malaysia as well as Malay students who are studying in Arabian countries. Moreover, it may affect their meaning in the Malay translation for the Holy Qur’an/Prophetic Tradition (Hadith). So, it is essential to engage academics of the Islamic studies, and the Malay-Arabic linguists alike with the crucial issue stemmed from the bilingual mastery level that involved both languages departing from the rising movement of re-examining and re-envision criticality in language studies. Henceforth, the Malaysian Muslim society could dynamically develop further ahead after more than 10 centuries exposed to the Arabic language rather than being stagnant in minimalism evermore.

The development of the era demands the development of a better and less pragmatic and simplistic mindset and way of teaching in conveying science to its students. The university should now be able to change its paradigm as a site like a company engaged in services offering better service to its customers. It is a quantitative research using a questionnaire model. It analyzes the influence of lecturer competency on student satisfaction levels both directly and through the quality dimensions of services. It also analyzes the most dominant competencies as lecturer competencies. The conclusions that can be drawn from the holding of this research is the ability of the lecturer has an important influence on student satisfaction, the lecturer ability has a significant impact on the level of student satisfaction through the dimension of service quality. Meanwhile, social competence has the most dominant role in shaping the lecturer's competence. It is expected that the results of this study can be considered by lecturers so that they can always develop themselves in order to function more fully.

The KSSR curriculum system introduced by Malaysia's ministry of education is demanding teachers to build pupils who will have the ability to carry out the learning process independently. To build pupils with the ability to learn independently, the pre-class assignment is an implementation needed to give the learning autonomy back to pupils.  However, some of the teachers do not like students to do any pre-class assignment because they are afraid that students who have already obtained a certain level of understanding towards the learning materials would feel boring and show the signs of being not interested to listen during the in-class learning process. Thus, this study aims to study the effect of pre-class assignments in enhancing the Chinese language reading comprehension mastery level of pupils from Chinese national-type schools in order to convince more educators to start practicing the use of pre-class assignments. A group of 260 pupils from eight different schools in Kuala Lumpur was involved in this study. A quantitative approach was used in this study and tests were developed and used in this study. The result of this study showed that the implementation of pre-class assignments was effective in helping pupils to master Chinese language reading comprehension. The finding of this research showed that the pupils' performance in Chinese language reading comprehension was not affected by the language used at home and prior exposure of pupils towards pre-class assignments.

This research was intended to find the correlation between the students’ vocabulary learning strategies and the vocabulary mastery level. The research design of this study was a quantitative research and the study population was the second year students of English study program FKIP Universitas Riau. 41 participants were selected from the second year students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau using the cluster random sampling technique. The instruments of this study were vocabulary learning strategy questionnaire and vocabulary level test. The data showed that 53.7% of students was used the vocabulary learning strategy in learning new vocabularies and 31.7% students were high vocabulary level. Moreover, the result of the study indicated that there was a negative correlation between two variables. The value of correlation coefficient was 0.813. It was on scale 0.00 – 1.00. It meant that the correlation between the students’ vocabulary learning strategies and the vocabulary mastery level of the second year students were categorized as high correlation. This research would assist students to understand the correlation between used the strategy in learning new vocabularies in order to increase the level of vocabulary mastery.

Abstract: In the principle, the goal-free evaluation model has the advantage of being able to consider possible influences, not only those that are planned, but things that are considered as other byproducts that arise from the product, so that novelty can be found in this model. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the application of the student host training model at STKIP NU Indramayu. The method used in this study is an experiment using a test technique. The tests used are linguistic knowledge and host tests. The results of the student's linguistic knowledge test when they were about to take part in the host training only reached 65.30. Based on the benchmark reference assessment with a scale of ten calculations at 56%-65% mastery intervals, it is categorized as moderate. The host practice test for STKIP NU Indramayu students before the host training was carried out only reached 62.90 in the moderate category. The host practice test of STKIP NU Indramayu students after attending the training reached 77.80. Based on the benchmark reference assessment with an interval of 76%-85% mastery level percentage is categorized as good. Thus, it can be concluded that the evaluation of student host training programs needs to be continuously developed by universities in Indonesia. Keywords: goal-free evaluation, implementation of host training for students Abstrak: Pada prinsipnya, model evaluasi bebas tujuan (goal free evaluation model) memiliki kelebihan dapat mempertimbangkan  kemungkinan pengaruh, bukan hanya yang direncanakan, tetapi hal yang diperhatikan sebagai sampingan lain yang muncul dari produk, sehingga kebaruan dapat ditemukan dalam model ini. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengevaluasi penerapan model pelatihan kepewaraan mahasiswa di STKIP NU Indramayu. Metode yang digunakan dalam  penelitian ini adalah  eksperimen dengan menggunakan teknik tes. Tes yang digunakan adalah pengetahuan kebahasaan dan tes kepewaraan. Hasil tes pengetahuan kebahasaan mahasiswa  saat akan mengikuti pelatihan kepewaraan hanya mencapai 65,30. Berdasarkan penilaian acuan patokan dengan penghitungan  skala sepuluh pada interval penguasaan 56%-65% terkategori sedang. Tes praktik kepewaraan mahasiswa STKIP NU Indramayu sebelum dilakukan pelatihan kepewaraan hanya mencapai 62,90 terkategori sedang. Tes praktik kepewaraan mahasiswa STKIP NU Indramayu setelah mengikuti pelatihan mencapai 77,80. Berdasarkan penilaian acuan patokan dengan interval persentase tingkat penguasaan 76%-85% terkategori baik. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa evaluasi program pelatihan kepewaraan mahasiswa perlu terus dikembangkan oleh perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Kata Kunci: evaluasi bebas tujuan, implementasi pelatihan kepewaraan pada mahasiswa
