A key parameter in the strategy of news organizations remains the exploitation of factors (such as post time and post type) that enhance the engagement level within online communities on social media. The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between post time and post type in correlation with audience response in the Twitter digital platform. Specifically, the study aims to ascertain how the two specific variables affect user engagement with its Twitter posts and how they shape the effectiveness of communication on social networks. The analysis includes 7.122 tweets of the Greek National Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) over four months. Moreover, the study analyzes the tone of user comments on the Twitter posts of the specific public media organizations to understand in-depth how the users communicate their views publicly. The collection of comments lasted seven weeks and they numbered 265 in 2639 tweets. Regarding the post time variable, the study came to important findings on user behavior during the 24 h, as the number of Retweets appears to increase in the morning compared to the afternoon. It was also found that as time goes on, the user is interested in leaving his personal opinion. Regarding the correlation of post type with user engagement, it was found that the accompaniment of a tweet with audiovisual material has a tempting effect on users.

Due to digital transformation, technology advancements, telework, we can no longer pretend that traditional work offers high incentives and efficiency, but on the contrary, traditional work falls behind each year, deeming organizations and individuals to adopt the agile work. Rapid technological developments have altered the way businesses operate, with the goal of producing viable solutions in an environment fraught with unpredictability. This paper is a theoretical narrative review on the general topic of agile work. The present paper addresses the issue of determining the best international practices for implementing agile methodology at work, carrying out a theoretical narrative review. Basing on literature on present-day theory the authors make an attempt to explain the implications of implementing agile methodologies into organizational culture, summarize existing approaches to classifying the main effects on implementing agile methodologies at work, consolidate and document best international practices for agile methodologies development among employers. After defining the concepts of agile method tailoring and agile maturity, the data obtained in the theoretical narrative analysis reveal that the implementing agile methodologies have a direct impact on management style, on teams, on learning environments, and on employee’s mental health. An overall conclusions and discussions section is presented along with the personal opinion of authors. This work is intended to open a post-pandemic agile work research methodology, since there are no systematic approaches to this topic.

This study deals with active listening as a basic skill of efficient communication used by teachers in their communication with their students’ parents. Two hundred and twenty-two teachers and thirty-three principals of primary education school units participated in this empirical study. Teachers mention that they use active listening in their communication with parents with attention and observation, they accept parents’ words, they maintain a neutral position and they show empathy to share their reflections and feelings. Moreover, during the use of active listening as an active skill of efficient communication between teachers and parents, teachers mention the contribution of their verbal intervention. In this way they ask open-ended and closed-ended questions for clarifications, and they repeat the parent’s main views without expressing their personal opinion. During their verbal positioning, teachers first mention to parents the good characteristics of their children, then they focus on their learning weaknesses.

Summary It is the beginning of a new decade, where COVID-19 and the ‘big three’ (HIV/AID, malaria and tuberculosis) have raised public awareness of the type of challenges researchers face every day. Beyond these diseases, there are also still many more for which scientists are working to develop new therapies and their impact in healthcare is enormous too. This industry update covers the period 1–31 August 2021, and some examples of research and approvals for many other diseases excluding COVID-19 and the ‘big three’ are presented. There is a progressive trend of approvals of novel drug candidates and the proposal of new indications for the existing ones. Some patents related to rare diseases were also published during this month. Information and analyses were sourced from scientific literature, regulatory and patent agencies, websites and press releases of the companies (and not based upon personal opinion). The main reason of leaving COVID-19 research outside the scope of this update is mainly due to the rapid growth and change in this field; some preliminary results require further research and scientists must be aware of the final impact that this research could have on public opinion. Moreover, as a result of disruptions to health care in the face of COVID-19, several research groups simply stopped their research in other diseases and, for that reason, it is imperative to sum up some important advances in other critical diseases and health areas.

This short commentary argues that academic letters to editors on politically-contested topics must be treated with particular ethical care. The interface between science and Māori/Indigenous knowledge is one such topic, vulnerable to inadequate but commonly-held ideas about both science and Māori/Indigenous knowledge. Letters to editors by scientists are personal opinion but carry the imprimatur of science expertise. When such letters contain lay views masquerading as expert opinion, they have negative effects on both science and Māori knowledge, hence qualifying to be described as ‘word weapons’.

The restrictions implemented to prevent the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus have impacted the majority of life domains. To evaluate their potential consequences on physical activity (PA) and dietary habits among Polish undergraduates, a survey consisting of the IPAQ-SF, authors’ questions based on the Polish National Institute of Public Health recommendations, and authors’ questions scaled −5/0/5 on personal opinion was created and administered between 22 February and 3 April 2021. A total of 1323 students met the study conditions (1021 females, 297 males, 5 did not specify gender, mean age: 22 years old (SD = 4), mean BMI = 22.27 kg/m2 (SD = 3.87)). A total of 27.21% of students were in the low, 48.53% in the moderate, and 24.26% in the high PA group. A total of 71.94% estimated that the pandemic had a negative impact on their PA, 8.16% no impact, and 19.9% a positive impact. A total of 35.5% had an insufficient intake of vegetables, 34.3% declared adding salt to meals, and 31.6% ate animal-based products the majority of days in a week or every day. A total of 51.02% assessed the impact of the pandemic on their nutrition as negative, 20.11% did not notice changes, and 28.87% reported a positive impact on their dietary habits. Most of the students saw harmful pandemic effects on their diet and PA compared to the times before restrictions. This can lead to a higher prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the future.

On the Usefulness of Research into Roman Law – Some Reflections on the Joanna Kruszyńska – Kola’s Dissertation Ratio przedawnienia [The ratio of prescription] In this paper I present my personal opinion on the role of present-day research into the history of law, especially into Roman law, referring to the wider issue of the usefulness of Roman law in the future development of private law. I emphasize the clear deficit of communication between historians and proponents of modern law doctrine. This shortcoming is manifested in the lack of interest that lawyers tend to display in achievements in the field of legal history, and is proved more concretely by the fact that the references to the history in monographs on civil law are often only superficial and fragmentary. Unfortunately, legal historians rarely try to initiate any real dialogue with the practitioners of civil law doctrine. This approach offers a profound and compelling study, which both takes the present point of view into consideration and tackles many of the questions that are important and interesting today. I intend to indicate at least some basic issues that should be taken into consideration by legal historians who want to pique other lawyers’ interest in their works. In my opinion, the most important aspects are the choice of an attractive topic, that is not confined only to history; proper identification of the detailed issues, including such issues as are crucial and interesting today; and in-depth analysis of both current law and the discourse held in modern doctrine. It is significant to combine the appropriate historical methodology with the need for an attractive and communicative presentation of the research and its results. In her dissertation on the ratio of prescription Joanna Kruszyńska-Kola proposes an excellent method for improving communication with proponents of modern law doctrine. I am convinced that her work brings substance to the vision of research into the history of law which is described in my paper, for that reason I demonstrate how the author managed to achieve the purpose that legal historians should be pursuing.

The paper investigates organization of internal audit at risk-oriented enterprises. The differences between traditional and risk-oriented approaches of internal audit at enterprises are considered. The risk-oriented internal audit allows us to investigate not only financial risks that arise in internal control and accounting, and the risks of differentiated audit are to evaluate various risks groups: financial, operational, technical, informational, etc. Each group has a corresponding hierarchy. Thus, financial risks include accounting risks (second level), which in accordance with IFRS and GAAP requirements include three groups of economic risks: market risk, credit risk and risk of main activity - third level. The risk-oriented internal audit allows you to evaluate the risks at the level of the enterprise divisions. The introduction of the principles and postulates of the concept of "liability centers" in the enterprise allows, for example, in the implementation of expert risk assessment, use personal opinion of managers and specialists of various units in the formation of the chain of values of the enterprise. The risk-oriented internal audit focuses on assessing risks that are not enough or excessively controlled. At the same time, risks are taken into account by the level of significance on the Luckyert scale: minor, moderate and large. But for each subdivision, the level of materiality can be different - it is necessary to calculate the integral risk for the enterprise in general. The risk map of the financial department of the enterprise is built on the basis of the concept of stakeholders. It has been proved that the risk map allows monitoring of the risks of significant distortion of accounting (financial) and non-financial reporting in terms of responsibility centers. The prospects for further research are determined: the development of internal audit documents using the principles of risk-oriented approach - an audit plan, audit program, audit report, schedule document circulation of internal audit service, etc.
