This research aims to briefly present the methodological items used to develop a model for evaluating the quality of services provided by higher education institutions, called PHERFFO (Performance Higher Education Poffo), which is a continuation of Poffo's research and Verdinelli (2017).  In this sense, for the construction and validation of the model for evaluating the quality of educational services, we sought, firstly, to draw up a literature review based on theories already validated by several authors, such as Parasuraman, Berry and Zeithaml (1985, 1988), Cronin and Taylor (1992), Abdullah (2006), Anil and Icli (2014), Dias Sobrinho (2010) and the MEC/INEP assessment instruments, among other studies. As a result, a model was proposed that is divided into nine dimensions: Marketing Reputation, Security, Administrative Service, Interpersonal Relationship, Infrastructure, Career Opportunity, Educational Aspects, Academic Aspects and Social Transformation. It is concluded that drawing a reliable panorama, through an evaluation model of the quality of the service delivered, is the first step to deepen the discussions about the quality of Brazilian Higher Education.

The current scenario of nursing in India forces us to introspect if the nurses are equipped enough to bring out their best contribution towards the health of our country and if their voices are well heard in the healthcare system. Despite being highly skilled professionals, nurses are neither facilitated nor rewarded enough to sustain their motivation and inputs. To understand the struggles faced by nurses in India, we reviewed literature that addresses Indian nurses’ concerns and brainstormed about the major challenges that nurses encounter with key nursing personnel from nursing education, clinical services and administration from selected hospitals of India. The major challenges that negatively affect the contribution of nurses are shortage of nurses, poor working conditions and career opportunity, ineffective leadership roles, poor educational quality, low salary and state neglect. The COVID-19 pandemic has proven the vast contribution and sacrifice of nurses. The competency of nurses has gone up with specialization, and advanced nursing degrees. Enhancing nurses’ involvement in collaborative healthcare research would be a hallmark in improving the quality patient care. To efficiently utilize the contribution of the nurses in healthcare system, the society and state have to recognize the potentials and vulnerabilities of nurses, appreciate their strengths and reciprocate responsibilities to their neglected concerns.

Librarianship and Information Science (LIS) studies have undergone a decline in many countries that is visible in various ways, among which are the disappearance of these degree courses in different universities around the world. These studies need to seek new scenarios to avoid becoming obsolete in a world in which information is undergoing constant change. The profile of the Head of Intelligence in general, and of the Intelligence Analyst in particular, can serve to develop new areas of study and research, and new professional careers. This work analyses the training of Intelligence professionals, the organisms related to that field, and the role those professionals play in the Intelligence Cycle in Spain. The main objective of this study was to determine whether the subjects taught in the LIS Degree courses offered in Spanish universities make it possible to highlight a profile that has never as yet been recognized as a career opportunity within these studies – that of the figure of the Intelligence Professional in general, and of the Intelligence Analyst in particular. An exhaustive and detailed content analysis was carried out of the teaching plans of all the subjects in the curricula of the eleven LIS Degree courses taught in Spain during the 2019/2020 academic year in terms of their adaptation to the phases of the Intelligence Cycle. There was found to exist an important set of subjects related to that cycle, which have the possibility of giving rise to a new professional profile in the LIS field: the Intelligence Professional.

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the Jewellery subject in Senior High Schools in Ghana to ascertain the career opportunity in jewellery for Ghanaian youth. The study adopted the Mixed Methods Research approach with descriptive and document analysis as the research method used. The findings of the study show that jewellery students are not able to practise as jewellers after their studies, because the content of the jewellery subjects and its associated exercises does not correspond to the skills one is required to become a jeweller. Coupled with the fact that the teachers who teach the jewellery are mostly not professional jewellers, which therefore limit the kind of practical jewellery that they can teach the students. Although the motivating factor for introducing jewellery is good, however, the rhetorics of the government that she wants students to acquire skills in jewellery making does not support the reality on the ground.

Drag performance has entered mainstream British culture and is gaining unprecedented appreciation and recognition, yet no sociological accounts of this transformation exist. Using an inductive analysis of in-depth interviews with 25 drag performers, alongside netnography of media and other public data, this article develops a sociological understanding of the mainstreaming of drag. There are two clear reasons for the success of drag. First, there is a pull towards drag: it is now seen as a viable career opportunity where performers receive fame rather than social stigma in a more inclusive social zeitgeist, even though the reality is more complex. Second, there is a push away from other creative and performing arts because heteronormative perspectives persist through typecasting and a continued professional stigma associated with drag. In calling for a sociology of drag, future avenues for research on contemporary drag are discussed, alongside the need for the sociology of cultural and creative industries to incorporate sexuality as both a subject and analytic lens.
