The article presents the process of creating a tool using GIS systems to describe the city’s spatial structure. Therefore, the subject of this research was the method of describing the city structure using non-functional zoning, in conjunction with the use of urban indicators. Using the relationships between the values of urban indicators and individual typologies of buildings, they can be assigned to subsequent zones from the Rural-to-Urban Transect methodology. Therefore, in this article, urban indicators have been defined, thanks to which it is possible to distinguish different typologies of buildings. Next, the relationships between selected indicators and transect zones have been examined, and thanks to the obtained conclusions, transect zones for Warsaw have been defined. Finally, the spatial structure of a selected part of Warsaw has been described using these zones. The purpose of this study is also to initially assess the usefulness of the developed tool for the needs of urban planners.

Abstract. Today, researchers' interest in the architecture of the USSR during the late 50s and early 70s of the 20th century is growing rapidly, since these years have left behind an outstanding architectural heritage. Many aspects of industrial architecture are being studied, one of which is the phenomenon of the emergence of atypical author's public buildings. The paper discusses the features of the creation and the current state of the Cinema and Concert Hall "Ukraine" – one of the unique objects of the early 1960s, built in Kharkiv. To achieve the goal, the authors formulated the following research objectives: to consider literary sources that provide general information about the CCH "Ukraine"; find and analyze authors' articles and publications written by a design team of architects, as well as experts in various fields; to classify and summarize the received material; analyze the current state of the structure. The article describes the design site in the city garden named after T. G. Shevchenko, on the site of which there was a summer open-air musical stage, in need of restoration due to the impossibility of its use. Presented is a group of architects who developed the project for the new building, and under whose leadership the construction was carried out. The author's concept of the design solution and the stages of its implementation are considered. The main purpose of the project was showing films, holding concerts of symphonic music, performing by pop groups and soloists, as well as organizing rallies and meetings. The features of space planning (composition, functional zoning) and architectural (interior, external design) solutions of the investigated object are revealed. An innovative, for that time, constructive solution of the structure was analyzed in detail and described – hanging cable-stayed structures of a saddle shape. A brief history of this constructive system is given. Particular attention is paid to the current state of the CCH "Ukraine", since on August 12, 2021, the facility was opened after a long reconstruction. Presented and described are the project proposals for reconstruction, made by the Ukrainian architectural bureau.

The article provides data on the Sanarsky nature reserve in the Chelyabinsk region. A map-diagram for the functional zoning of the reserve is proposed. It provides the information on the negative factors affecting the reserve such as forest fires, commercial and hobby hunting, the Chelyabinsk — Magnitogorsk motorway which divides the territory of the reserve into two parts. The analysis of the probable habitat of 10 vertebrate species has been carried out. The article presents a biological description and ecology features of animals listed in the Red Book and living on the territory of the reserve, including one species of amphibians — Siberian salamander (Salamandrella keyserlingii Dybowski, 1870), one species of snakes of the genus Copperheads, the family of snakes — smooth snake (Coronella austriaca Laurenti, 1768), four species of birds, two of the hawk family — the Pale Harrier (Circus macrourus SG Gmelin, 1770) and the Imperial Eagle (Aquila heliaca Savigny, 1809), the Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos L., 1758) — the largest eagle and the Owl (Bubo bubo L., 1758) from the owl family; two species from the order bats — Brandt’s Moth (Myotis brandtii Eversmann, 1845) and Woodbat (Pipistrellus nathusii Keyserling & Blasius, 1839); one species of the Lagomorph family — the Steppe pika (Ochotona pusilla) and one species from the Jerboa family — the Great Jerboa (Allactaga major Kerr, 1792). It has been established that within the reserve three functional zones can be distinguished such as a recreation zone, an economic zone, a specially protected zone. On this basis, a map-diagram of the functional zoning of the Sanarsky State Natural Complex Reserve has been developed.

Abstract As the global ecosystem protection agenda continuous to unfold, the topic of functional zoning of protected areas’ remains the subject of intensive discussions. The paper discusses the essence, specific features, key factors and actions taken to improve the functional zoning of national parks in Russia. On the example of the national park “Tunkinsky” it is shown how the functional zoning has changed since its creation and what factors influenced this process. The paper presents analysis of natural, historical, cultural, socio-economic, tourist-recreational and organizational conditions for functional zone allocation in the Tunkinsky National Park, as well as changes in the composition, naming, and area of the functional zones in the national park. Using the data from geolocation services, such as photos with a given geolocation posted by tourists in social networks, and GPS tracks of tourist routes, the authors prove the validity of changes in the functional zoning of the National Park, with an increase in the recreational zone, providing an optimal combination of nature conservation, tourist and recreational and economic functions was proved.

Using the plantar pressure imaging analysis method to realize the optimization design of shoe last is still relatively preliminary. The analysis and utilization of imaging data still have problems such as single processing, incomplete information acquisition, and poor processing model robustness. A deep self-organizing map neural network based on Marr-Hildreth filter (dSOM-wh) is developed in this research. The structure and learning algorithms were optimized by learning vector quantization (LVQ) and count propagation (CP). As a kind of Marr-Hildreth filter, Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG) was developed for the preprocessing. The proposed method performed high effectiveness in accuracy (AC) (92.88%), sensitive (SE) (0.8941), and f-measurement (F1) (0.8720) by comparing with ANN, CNN, SegNet, ResNet, and pre-trained inception-v neural networks. The classification-based plantar pressure biomedical functional zoning technologies have potential applications in the comfort shoe production industry.

The territory of the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain within Volgograd region, included in the natural park Volga-Akhtuba floodplain, has been subjected to anthropogenic impact for many years. Initially, in order to regulate economic activities, the natural park space was divided into three functional zones: environmental, recreational, and agricultural. In subsequent years, within the natural park Volga-Akhtuba floodplain, due to the increased anthropogenic load on the landscapes, it became necessary to adjust the spatial organization of areas with different purposes. In the actual version of functional zoning, five functional zones (agrarian landscapes, environmental, recreational, extensive nature management and buffer) are presented. In order to determine the transformation of the natural park Volga-Akhtuba floodplain spatial organization, changes in the functional zoning of this specially protected natural area during the period from the beginning of the 2000s to 2020 were revealed with the use of geoinformation systems. Most of the lands have not changed their legal status. The agricultural zone underwent the main transformation, most of which were transferred to the recreational zone. The territory of environmental zone that includes the most valuable natural complexes and objects has been squeezed out to territories that are less profitable for nature users. The lands of the Sredneakhtubinsky district are most exposed to anthropogenic impact, since this municipality includes significant areas occupied by zones of extensive nature management and agrarian landscapes, within which the most destructive nature management for ecosystems is carried out, while the ratio of nature protection spaces to the area of the municipality is the smallest. In the Svetloyarsk district, the ecological situation is the most favorable, since almost the entire territory is occupied by an environmental functional zone.

The increase in the degree of urban settlements’ urbanization, the increase in the territories of industrial and residential zones, the increase in the level of motorization play a major role in changes in the ecology of the city, the destruction of the existing natural framework and the increase in the recreational load on the urban landscape. The natural framework has entered urban planning practice as one of the main prerequisites in the process of modernizing the principles of territorial planning, focused on saving resources while solving problems related to the protection of natural areas. The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the city park "Presnensky" to assess the effectiveness of the existing functional zoning, as well as calculated indicators of the load on the recreational potential of the territory.
