The global and Indonesia energy trend is heading to process of transitioning from fossil fuel to renewable energy (decarbonization) in the purpose of reducing Green House Gas (GHG) effects. Industries as one of the biggest contributors of emission generator expected to participate in this effort, where fuel and electricity play significant roles in running the operation. Many businesses try to participate and state their commitment on this energy transition initiative by increasing the portion of renewable energy within their operation. Meanwhile, business have several uncertainties’ on how the renewable energy will be acquired and will this renewable energy options be available at the time they need it. Campur Plc. (CP) through its subsidiary in Indonesia, PT. Campur Ilmiah (PT. CI) has targeted the entity to reduce 50% of the emission by 2030 with the baseline of 2018, which align with corporate target of 46.2% of emission reduction globally. Uncertainties on achieving this target generated from external and internal factors, and not to forget how to sustainably maintain the achievement. The location of PT.CI in industrial estate need to be considered as limitation because the power and energy supply are regulated. The accessibility, availability and affordability of renewable energy are expected to be handled by the government, industrial estate or other third party in energy business, but the phasing and the achievement up to now has not shown a promising progress. As a business, PT.CI need to have a strategic planning on this energy transition to support the global target as well as shown a positive investment climate in Indonesia. There are four (4) scenarios has been developed and each of the scenarios are explored to identify alternative and possible strategies to still be able achieving the target and how the organization manage these changes. As the conclusion of this research, four (4) strategic imperatives are defined. This research also might be use as the reference of future planning for the similar industries that have the similar target and type of energy mix.

AbstractThe multiple traveling salesman problem (MTSP) is an extension of the traveling salesman problem (TSP). It is found that the MTSP problem on a three-dimensional sphere has more research value. In a spherical space, each city is located on the surface of the Earth. To solve this problem, an integer-serialized coding and decoding scheme was adopted, and artificial electric field algorithm (AEFA) was mixed with greedy strategy and state transition strategy, and an artificial electric field algorithm based on greedy state transition strategy (GSTAEFA) was proposed. Greedy state transition strategy provides state transition interference for AEFA, increases the diversity of population, and effectively improves the accuracy of the algorithm. Finally, we test the performance of GSTAEFA by optimizing examples with different numbers of cities. Experimental results show that GSTAEFA has better performance in solving SMTSP problems than other swarm intelligence algorithms.

The rapid developments taking place in the world in the technological sphere led to the emergence of competition between organizations, which requires the use of modern management methods and tools to keep up with these developments and changes and that these developments came to meet the needs of management and customer satisfaction at the same time. These methods of continuous improvement of processes and equipment, materials and work methods and devices provide services that can only be done through the support of senior management. At the same time appeared a problem experienced by most Iraqi organizations namely the career plateau and its negative effects on performance. So the aim of research to answer the questions: Is there a moral connotation, positive impact of continuous improvement strategies on the plateau in the sample of the Iraqi Government and private banks? Is there a discrepancy in the views of employees in Government and private banks in determining the impact of continuous improvement on career plateau strategies? The research community may be of (100), (50) employees in State banks) and (50) employees of private banks, And statistical analysis adopted the use of discriminatory analytical test the impact of each variable of the independent variables is represented by continuous improvement in the approved functional plateau strategies variables. As well as the analysis of variance and regression and path analysis and the researched has reached to a group of the most important conclusions need banks to design career paths and identify those that benefit within the organizational structure. And among the most important recommendations: using strategies and policies that help people overcome their problems and attention to positive evaluations and reduce the desire to quit work and strengthening organizational loyalty to employees and use the transition strategy banks can reduce the negative effects of the plateau.

Locomotor movements are accommodated to various surface conditions by means of specific locomotor adjustments. This study examined underlying age-related differences in neuromuscular control during level walking and on a positive or negative slope, and during stepping upstairs and downstairs. Ten elderly and eight young adults walked on a treadmill at two different speeds and at three different inclinations (0°, +6°, and −6°). They were also asked to ascend and descend stairs at self-selected speeds. Full body kinematics and surface electromyography of 12 lower-limb muscles were recorded. We compared the intersegmental coordination, muscle activity, and corresponding modifications of spinal motoneuronal output in young and older adults. Despite great similarity between the neuromuscular control of young and older adults, our findings highlight subtle age-related differences in all conditions, potentially reflecting systematic age-related adjustments of the neuromuscular control of locomotion across various support surfaces. The main distinctive feature of walking in older adults is a significantly wider and earlier activation of muscles innervated by the sacral segments. These changes in neuromuscular control are reflected in a reduction or lack of propulsion observed at the end of stance in older adults at different slopes, with the result of a delay in the timing of redirection of the centre-of-mass velocity and of an unanticipated step-to-step transition strategy.

Energy production and consumption represent the most significant sources of CO2 emissions in the world. An isolated island scenario such as the case of the Canary Islands, where dependence on fossil fuels is almost complete needs an effective integrative strategy for energy efficiency in order to reduce the carbon footprint. The objective of our work is to propose an effective design for an integrative and sustainable energy transition strategy in the hotel sector of the Islands. To achieve this, we implement a qualitative/quantitative technique called Q methodology. Our study was conducted with a carefully selected group of 31 experts from diverse areas related to the energy sector who were asked to rank-order their degree of agreement or disagreement with 30 key energy discourses (statements). The results of our analysis identify four profiles of stakeholders’ mindsets: the “Low-carbon”, the “Techies”, the “Skeptics”, and the “Trusting”. A well-defined integrative strategy could be identified which includes self-consumption using renewable energies, simplification of the administrative procedures, and promotion of the use of heat pumps, among others. A further interesting consensus result among all four groups reveals experts’ uncertainty regarding the post-COVID-19 reality.

The inevitable energy transformation can be perceived as an opportunity and as a threat to the actions undertaken to prevent energy poverty in European mining regions. Silesia is a special exemplification of the European region whose economy has been based on coal industry for centuries. There are still about 70,000 miners and coal is also widely used for heating households. Based on developed map of jobs lost in mining and related industry and the demographic and social data the proposal of activities addressed to different group of people has been created. It was also indicated that energy poverty in Poland mainly concerns households inhabited by single women. Therefore, the major conclusion of the paper is postulated that the Just Transition strategy should be extended by issues strictly related to the situation of women in the future labor market. Additionally, the concept of a special hub for women, whose aim would be professional activation of women of various age groups, has been introduced.

Advantages of microgrid integrated with a renewable energy system have been acknowledged in more and more applications. Operating steadily during different modes is of great significance, and different modes transferring must be transient, seamless, and reliable to maintain the continuous electricity supply for loads, especially sensitive ones. As a semicontrolled switch that is unable to shut instantly until the zero point of its current, thyristors should be forced to be turned off by certain strategies to minimise the influence brought by the delay of modes transferring. In this paper, a compulsory turn-off strategy based on fuzzy logic control of converter output voltage is proposed. With the strategy, an alterable reverse voltage is applied across the conducting thyristor by dynamically adjusting the output voltage reference instruction and closed-loop control parameters depending on the changing rate rather than detecting the polarity of voltage or current. Constraints from acquisition of analog data and error of digital calculation will be eliminated. Finally, simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
