The rapid developments taking place in the world in the technological sphere led to the emergence of competition between organizations, which requires the use of modern management methods and tools to keep up with these developments and changes and that these developments came to meet the needs of management and customer satisfaction at the same time. These methods of continuous improvement of processes and equipment, materials and work methods and devices provide services that can only be done through the support of senior management. At the same time appeared a problem experienced by most Iraqi organizations namely the career plateau and its negative effects on performance. So the aim of research to answer the questions: Is there a moral connotation, positive impact of continuous improvement strategies on the plateau in the sample of the Iraqi Government and private banks? Is there a discrepancy in the views of employees in Government and private banks in determining the impact of continuous improvement on career plateau strategies? The research community may be of (100), (50) employees in State banks) and (50) employees of private banks, And statistical analysis adopted the use of discriminatory analytical test the impact of each variable of the independent variables is represented by continuous improvement in the approved functional plateau strategies variables. As well as the analysis of variance and regression and path analysis and the researched has reached to a group of the most important conclusions need banks to design career paths and identify those that benefit within the organizational structure. And among the most important recommendations: using strategies and policies that help people overcome their problems and attention to positive evaluations and reduce the desire to quit work and strengthening organizational loyalty to employees and use the transition strategy banks can reduce the negative effects of the plateau.

Early detection of SARS-CoV-2 infection is critical to reduce asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission, curb the spread of variants, and maximize treatment efficacy. Low-analytical-sensitivity nasal-swab testing is commonly used for surveillance and symptomatic testing, but the ability of these tests to detect the earliest stages of infection has not been established. In this study, conducted between September 2020 and June 2021 in the greater Los Angeles County, California area, initially-SARS-CoV-2-negative household contacts of individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 prospectively self-collected paired anterior-nares nasal-swab and saliva samples twice daily for viral-load quantification by high-sensitivity RT-qPCR and digital-RT-PCR assays. We captured viral-load profiles from the incidence of infection for seven individuals and compared diagnostic sensitivities between respiratory sites. Among unvaccinated persons, testing saliva with a high-analytical-sensitivity assay detected infection up to 4.5 days before viral loads in nasal swabs reached concentrations detectable by low-analytical-sensitivity nasal-swab tests. For most participants, nasal swabs reached higher peak viral loads than saliva, but were undetectable or at lower loads during the first few days of infection. High-analytical-sensitivity saliva testing was most reliable for earliest detection. Our study illustrates the value of acquiring early (within hours after a negative high-sensitivity test) viral-load profiles to guide the appropriate analytical sensitivity and respiratory site for detecting earliest infections. Such data are challenging to acquire but critical to design optimal testing strategies with emerging variants in the current pandemic and to respond to future viral pandemics.

Abstract. The French Riviera is very often threatened by flash floods. These hydro-meteorological events, which are fast and violent, have catastrophic consequences on life and property. The development of forecasting tools may help to limit the impacts of these extreme events. Our purpose here is to demonstrate the possibility of using b-flood (a subset of the Basilisk library http://basilisk.fr/, last access: 8 November 2021), which is a 2D tool based on the shallow-water equations and adaptive mesh refinement. The code is first validated using analytical test cases describing different flow regimes. It is then applied to the Toce river valley physical model produced by ENEL-HYDRO in the framework of the CADAM project and on a flash-flood case over the urbanized Toce area produced during the IMPACT project. Finally, b-flood is applied to the flash flood of October 2015 in Cannes in south-eastern France, which demonstrates the feasibility of using software based on the shallow-water equations and mesh refinement for flash-flood simulation in small watersheds (less than 100 km2) and on a predictive computational timescale.

This work presents a self-contained continuum formulation for coupled chemical, mechanical, and thermal contact interactions. The formulation is very general and, hence, admits arbitrary geometry, deformation, and material behavior. All model equations are derived rigorously from the balance laws of mass, momentum, energy, and entropy in the framework of irreversible thermodynamics, thus exposing all the coupling present in the field equations and constitutive relations. In the process, the conjugated kinematic and kinetic variables for mechanical, thermal, and chemical contact are identified, and the analogies between mechanical, thermal, and chemical contact are highlighted. Particular focus is placed on the thermodynamics of chemical bonding distinguishing between exothermic and endothermic contact reactions. Distinction is also made between long-range, non-touching surface interactions and short-range, touching contact. For all constitutive relations, examples are proposed and discussed comprehensively with particular focus on their coupling. Finally, three analytical test cases are presented that illustrate the thermo-chemo-mechanical contact coupling and are useful for verifying computational models. Although the main novelty is the extension of existing contact formulations to chemical contact, the presented formulation also sheds new light on thermo-mechanical contact, because it is consistently derived from basic principles using only a few assumptions.

A new method was proposed for the determination of underivatized biogenic amines based on ion-exchange chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry detection. The method was applied to the analysis of 10 biogenic amines in fresh and processed fish products. The amines were extracted from muscle tissue with water without any additional derivative step or sample clean-up. Separation of biogenic amines was done by the IonPac (4 × 50 mm) column, applying a gradient eluent by mixing formic acid (2 mol L−1) and Milli-Q water (formic acid concentration from 400 mM to 2 M). The results demonstrated a linear response in the range of 0.01 to 10 mg L−1. The detection limits for the fish products ranged from 20 ng/g up to around 400 ng/g for histamine and putrescine, respectively. Spermidine and spermine showed significantly higher detection limits. This current method can be used for the determination of biogenic amines in both fresh and processed fish products for regulatory purposes and monitoring food-safety issues relating to these amines, particularly histamine. It is also a useful method for evaluation of other commercial analytical test kits and commonly used methods that are possibly affected by the food matrix due to processing or other drawbacks arising from the derivatization process.

Immunization, which is usually done by giving vaccinations, is the process of forming immunity in individuals against infectious diseases. The target in the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Healht of the Republic of Indonesia in 2015-2019 aimed for 93 % of coverage. However, according to the report of the Indonesian Basic Health Survey (IBHR), there is actually a decrease in basic immunization coverage for the period of 2012–2015 when compared to the previous period. This study aimed to determine the correlation between parental knowledge, attitudes, and behavior towards complete course of basic immunization among parents of an elementary school in North Jakarta, Indonesia, in 2018 and 2019. This was a cross-sectional analytical descriptive study involving 110 respondents. Data were obtained through a questionnaire that was distributed to parents that included questions on knowledge, attitude, and behavior towards complete basic immunization. Out of 110 respondents, 70% stated that their child received the full basic immunization course while the remaining 30% stated that their child only received some of the vaccines required in the basic immunization course. There was no correlation, based on the bivariate analytical test, between parental behavior (p = 0.868), parental attitude (p = 0.647), and full course of basic immunization. In contrast, parental knowledge influences whether the child will receive the full course of basic immunization or not (p=0.000).
