The authors analyze scientometric factors and rates of the Russianlanguage scientific journals in archeology provided by RSCI. The list of journals under study was based on the list of peer-reviewed journals comprising findings of candidate’s and doctor’s theses in the domain 07.00.06 – Archeology (historical sciences). The key factors of these journals were specified and rates were made for Science Index (SI), public evaluation, and 5-year impact-factor. The journals with high impact factor and low SI rating were revealed; absolute discrepancy of 2019 SI and public evaluation rating. The authors suggest to make changes to the methods of calculating SI integrated index of scientific journals: to accumulate ratings and add special equalizing coefficients for monodisciplines: to calculate factors with improved rubricator.

According to the portal Math-Net.Ru a graph of journal citation is constructed. To increase the reliability of the model, the citation time interval was chosen from 2010 to 2021, when the distribution of citation articles stabilized at the level of 3500-4500 citations per year. The structure of link aging is studied and it is shown that their half-life is equal to 8 years. Therefore, the publication date of the cited articles was limited to 2002. For the constructed citation graph, the main properties, such as a small diameter and a high density, are obtained, indicating a high level of scientific communication in the Math-Net.Ru. The absence of the “Matthew effect” as a pronounced advantage in quoting established journals in relation to less well-known ones is shown. Adequacy of the journal citation graph Math-Net.Ru as a model of scientific communication confirmed by comparing the ranking of journals in the citation graph with their SCIENCE INDEX rating in eLIBRARY.RU. A direct moderate relationship between the two rankings is shown. A number of meaningful conclusions are drawn from the analysis of the citation graph.

Abstract Religion has long been theorized to serve important functions for societies and individuals; specifically, as a source of knowledge about what is real and as a source of norms prescribing how individuals should behave. However, science and scientists appear to be playing an increasingly large role in public discourse. A majority of adults in the U.S. report interest in science and an increasing number are obtaining degrees in the sciences – more so among males than females. As a result, we examined (1) whether and how participants’ demographic background, religious background, and two indicators of well-being relate to a “belief in science” index, and (2) whether those relations differed among males and females. 560 young adults from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds participated. The findings presented here suggest that belief in science and religiosity are strongly inversely correlated, and if belief in science does confer emotion-related benefits, it may operate differently across demographic categories. Specifically, we find that belief in science is related to emotion dysregulation and death anxiety among males, but not females, even though females scored lower on these indicators of well-being overall.

Purpose: This work aimed to identify and analyze the most frequently cited articles in retinal detachment (RD). Methods: Institute for Scientific Information’s Web of Science index (Thomas Scientific) was used to identify the top 100 most cited articles on RD between 1900 and 2019. Data from the top 100 most cited articles that met inclusion criteria were analyzed based on title, citation frequency, authorship, institution, journal, year of publication, and country of origin. Results: The top 100 articles in RD were cited 88 to 480 times. Steven K. Fisher was the most cited individual, with the University of California system being the most cited organization. Sixty-four percent of the top 100 articles originated from the United States and were published in the American Journal of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology, and Archives of Ophthalmology at frequencies of 36%, 24%, and 11%, respectively. The top funding agencies included the US Department of Health and Human Services, the National Institutes of Health, and the National Eye Institute at 29%, 28%, and 27%, respectively. The top-cited article, which assessed the role of the retinal pigment epithelium by histologic and electron microscopic analysis of RDs in eyes of owl monkeys, was by Machemer and Laqua in the American Journal of Ophthalmology. Conclusions: This bibliometric analysis provides researchers and clinicians with a detailed overview of the most cited manuscripts in RD. Such analyses may guide researchers and funding agencies on important research areas in the field.

(1) Introduction: Quetiapine (QTP) is a dibenzothiazepine derivative, a second generation antipsychotic (AP), which is structurally similar to clozapine. The main indications for use are schizophrenia and depressive disorder. Under manic episodes in bipolar disorder can be used alone or in combination with lithium. The frequency of prescribing QTP is on average 11,987 per 100,000 population, with a positive trend in dynamics: a growth rate of more than 800% within the period 2002 to 2017.(2) Purpose: The review of studies of pharmacogenetic pharmacokinetic and pharmacogenetic pharmacodynamic markers of QTP efficacy and safety.(3) Materials and Methods: A search was carried out for publications of the Science Index, PubMed, Web of Science, Springer databases by keywords and their combinations over the last 10 years. In addition, the review includes earlier publications of historical interest. Despite extensive searches of these commonly used databases and search terms, it cannot be ruled out that some publications may have been missed.(4) Results: The review considers the following pharmacokinetic markers of QTP efficacy and safety: genes are coding isoforms of cytochrome P450 (CYP2D6, CYP2C19, CYP3A4, CYP3A5), P-glycoprotein (ABCB1); pharmacogenetic pharmacodynamic markers of the efficacy and safety of QTP : genes of dopamine receptor isoform (DRD3), dopamine transporter (SCL1A1) and catecholO-methyltransferase (COMT), serotonin receptor isoforms (HTR2C), melanocortin receptor (MC4R), NOTCH protein (NOTCH4), phosphodiesterase 4D (PDE4D), SPoPL protein (SPoPL), multiple EGFlike domain (MEGF10), protocadherin-7 (PCDH7), contactin-associated protein 5 (CNTNAP5) , TRAF2 and NCK-interacting protein kinase (TNIK), spermatogenesis-associated protein 6 (SPATA6L), neurobihin (NBEA), synaptic vesicle protein-2C (SVC2) .(5) Conclusion: Disclosure of pharmacogenetic markers of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of QTP efficacy and safety in the treatment of patients with schizophrenia and other psychiatric disorders, may provide a key to developing a strategy for its personalized prevention of adverse grug reactions (ADRs) and therapy strategy in real clinical practice.

Researchers rely on a system of scientometric ratings when they assess the development of a scientific journal. This approach does not allow us to understand the reasons for the results achieved and the specifics of the business model of the publication. The paper describes the study of scientific journals through a prism of the ecosystem approach. The hypothesis is tested that a highly rated scientific journal, its authors and readers together represent a closed ecosystem with specific properties. The research methodology is based on the author’s toolkit which consists on the calculation of ecosystem closeness indicators: the share of affiliated authors, their correlation with the average influence of a paper, diversity and fluidity. The authors suggest that low rates of variability and diversity indicate a closed type of journal ecosystem. Generalization and interpretation of empirical results was carried out by the method of cluster analysis. The information base is a panel metadata of 20 scientific Russian journals for 2013–2020, which have the maximum Science Index ratings on economic and management fields. Also, the authors analyzed the data on the number and level of concentration publications by the editorial board members and staff of the holding institution, as well as the intensity of publications of individual authors. There have been identified four clusters of studied journals being as a base of the empirical verification. The first and third clusters are characterized by the highest rate of closeness. The lowest level of variability in the sample has been recorded for the third cluster. The journals of the second and fourth clusters have a conditionally closed ecosystem and have been characterized by a top-rated of variability. They are characterized by a low share of publications by affiliated authors. However, it was revealed that there had been a group of authors who had a significant impact on the journal’s ecosystem development. The study results can be of value for the strategies formation of scientific journals development.
