Abstract Toxic epidermal necrolysis is a drug-mediated disease process which mimics a partial thickness thermal injury. It has long been treated with frequent wound dressing changes and supportive care. There has been minimal efficacious system therapy. The pathophysiology is poorly understood but causes necrosis of keratinocytes at the dermal-epidermal junction leading to sloughing of the epidermis. The disease is rare with high mortality rates associated with long hospital stays. This case report describes the application of autologous skin cell suspension to a patient with toxic epidermal necrolysis after antihypertensive and hyperglycemic therapy. This was associated with minimal wound care and efficacious arrest of patient disease process and timely closure of wound.

To date, the impact of traditional cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) on anhedonia in major depressive disorder (MDD) has yet been systematically evaluated. This systematic review aims to examine the efficacy of traditional CBT for depressed adults with anhedonia. A literature search for randomised controlled trials of traditional CBT in adults with MDD from inception to July 2020 was conducted in 8 databases. The primary outcome was the levels of anhedonia. Ten studies with adults with MDD met the eligibility criteria. Our results indicate that traditional CBT is as effective as euthymic therapy, positive psychology therapy, self-system therapy, and medications for anhedonia in depression. Besides, our data provide further support for the development of augmented CBT to optimise treatment outcome for depressed adults with anhedonia. The Western Canadian Gastrointestinal Cancer Consensus Conference (WC-5) convened virtually on 10 February 2021. The WC-5 is an interactive multidisciplinary conference attended by health care professionals from across Western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba) who are involved in the care of patients with gastrointestinal cancer. Surgical, medical, and radiation oncologists; pathologists; radiologists; and allied health care professionals participated in presentation and discussion sessions for the purpose of developing the recommendations presented here. This consensus statement addresses current issues in the management of hepatocellular cancer (HCC). Recommendations have been made for the transition from local to systemic therapy and the optimal sequencing of systemic regimens in the management of HCC.

This study aimed to assess the effects of cognitive-behavioral play therapy on anxiety and aggression in children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) by reporting a 7-year-old boy with ADHD inattentive type diagnosed by a psychiatrist. According to the interview, it was observed that the child was physically abused by the father. The chief complaint of the patient’s family was the symptoms of aggression, anxiety disorder, and urinary incontinence. We used the trauma system therapy model, which is used for children and adolescents who have had traumatic experiences and problems with emotional and behavioral modifications. The intervention was provided in 8 sessions for 2 days a week and lasted 45 minutes each. The child was evaluated using the Aggression Scale for Preschoolers and Preschool Anxiety Scale. The results of this study showed that cognitive behavior play therapy can reduce anxiety and aggression in ADHD children who are physically abused.

Brain tumors are a severe form of pathologies, that are more common in children and it is associated with hydrocephali. The long term effects of central nervous system therapy for children with brain tumors have been the subject of research since the 1970. Many studies have demonstrated that children treated for brain tumors with surgery and standard radiation therapy have developed intellectual decline which is progressive over at least a decade. Risk factors for the cognitive deterioration have been identified and include: perioperative complications, hydrocephalus, high radiation dose, large volume radiation, chemotherapy (especially methotrexate), vasculopaty and young age at the time of treatment. The purpose of research: Study of surgical treatment applied to children with brain tumors hydrocephalus by implementing and perfecting the surgical treatment. Material and methods: We used data of 2018-2019 period, in the Children Clinical Hospital „V. Ignatenco”, of the Republic of Moldova, which shows the structure of morbidity through malign and benign tumors with associated hydrocephalus at prematures population. Results: Since 2018-2019 were diagnosed 13 children. The average age was: 1 child(0,76 %) 0-1 years old, 5 children (38,46 %) 2-5 years old, 2 children (15,38 %) 6-10 years old and 5 children (38,46 %)11-17 years old. From 13 children, 2 children (15,38 %) were inoperable. The incidence was 10 boys (76,92%) and 3 girls (23,07%). There were complications: malign hipertermia, anemia, cranial nerves damages (facial asymmetry, palpebral ptosis), hemiparesis, intraventricular bleeding. Conclusions: The morbidity was common in boys, average age was 2-5 and 11-17 years old. Chidrenswere operated in two ways. There were complications since intraoperatory and postoperatory period.
