The article describes verbal manifestations of the parameter ‘intentionality’ within the linguistic persona based on the conception of cognitive styles. The description of field-dependency/field-independency style is given. The sequence of the research is described - classifying the respondents into different poles of the given cognitive style, by using the AKT-70 technique (U. Ettrich), reading of the unknown text by the respondents, completing the given task with the subsequent verbalization of the results. The semantic-syntactic features of the secondary text verbalization by the style holders, namely such characteristics as ‘directivity’ and ‘centering/decentering’, are discussed in details. Such feature as ‘directivity’ appeared equal for both poles, while ‘centering’ is much more pronounced for the group of field-independent respondents.

AbstractValleytronics is receiving extensive research efforts. Thus, we investigated the electric field-induced valley polarization in the WSe2/CrSnSe3 heterostructures by varying the stacking order. The heterostructure shows indirect band gaps of 270 and 330 meV in the two most stable structures. The WSe2/CrSnSe3 heterostructure displays a ferromagnetic ground state with out-of-plane anisotropy (0.02 meV) in one stable stacking (S-1) while a small in-plane anisotropy (−0.01 meV) is found in other stacking (S-2). The Curie temperature is slightly enhanced to 73 K compared to the monolayer CrSnSe3. We have found the valley splitting of 4 meV in S-1 whereas it became 9 meV in the S-2 system. The valley splitting is further enhanced if an electric field is applied from CrSnSe3 to the WSe2 layer whereas it is suppressed in the reversed electric field. Particularly, the S-2 structure shows a giant valley splitting of 67 meV at an electric field of 0.6 V Å−1. We attribute this electric field-dependency to the dipolar effect. Overall, we propose that the WSe2/CrSnSe3 heterostructure can be a potential structure for obtaining a giant valley splitting.

The article describes parameters of the linguistic persona within the concept of cognitive styles. The opposite poles of the field-dependency style continuum are characterized, as well as the techniques of detecting respondent belonging to the poles. The author characterizes language manifestations of the respondent textual reproduction activities. The exponential level of the linguistic persona is described from the angle of the semantic-syntactic features of the secondary text verbalization by the style holders.

The main insulation of converter transformers consists of transformer oil and oil-impregnated pressboard. Under operating conditions, the valve-side winding of the converter transformer is subject to DC voltage components. Therefore, studies on the characteristics of oil-impregnated pressboard conductivity are necessary. In this paper, the temperature, moisture and electric field dependency of pressboard conductivity are investigated based on a specially designed three-electrode experimental chamber, which allows for a variation in temperature ranging from 25 °C to 120 °C and an electric field strength ranging from 0 to 30 kV/mm. The experimental results show that, within the experimental conditions, the conductivity of oil-impregnated pressboard increases exponentially with increasing moisture and temperature. High moisture and temperature will increase both the carrier concentration and carrier mobility, which explains the exponential correspondence. Furthermore, the electric field dependency of the conductivity is more obvious for wet pressboard than for dry pressboard. Protons in the wet pressboard are more easily accelerated by the electric field than the impurity ions in the oil of the dry pressboard, which leads to an obvious electric field dependency of the wet pressboard conductivity.

The study examines high school Students’ Perceptions and challenges in learning Physics regarding Field Dependency. Physics is often represented as being abstract and unrelated to the real-life subject. Field Independent students gain higher than the Field Dependent students as hat independent students’ confidence and understanding are higher than dependent students. The study uses a survey with samples of students drawn from both Urdu and English medium from rural and urban higher secondary schools (N = 500). Firstly, a survey questionnaire for perceptions and challenges in Physics learning and second test for Level of Field Dependency of Johnstone experiment test which is also known as group embedded figure test. Field dependency shows high mean value represents the outcome that mostly students are field dependent. Female students’ ratio is exceeded than male students because of the current pattern of education.

A new way for determining the magnetostriction characteristics of a composite multiferroics using the magnetoelectric response of the structure is proposed. It is shown that integral from the field dependency of linear magnetoelectric coefficient is the magnetostriction characteristic of the structure. The results of an experimental study of the physical properties of bulk composites based on lead zirconate titanate and ferrite-nickel spinel are presented. Based on the field dependence of the magnetoelectric voltage coefficient, magnetostriction curves of composite structures with a content of ferrospinel of 10–70% were obtained.

Recently, composite materials with nonlinear dielectric or resistive properties performed well in electric field homogenization and space charge suppression in a high voltage transmission and distribution system. For the purpose of obtaining insulation materials with desirable dielectric and electrical resistance properties, we investigated several fillers with nonlinear electrical properties doped in silicon rubber composites, and their dependency on the temperature and field. The samples of silicone rubber composites with different components were prepared using barium strontium titanate (BST) and zinc oxide (ZnO) as the filler, and high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber (SiR) as the matrix. The investigations revealed that the BST-doped samples showed different dielectric properties compared to ZnO-doped composites, with an increase in the electric field, which was nonlinear. The resistivity of both doped samples was similar. Results demonstrated that it was possible to achieve higher values of permittivity, and lower values of tanδ and resistivity, with respect to unfilled silicone rubber composites over a wide electrical field and temperature range. Discussion of the results attributes these important functional behaviours to the spontaneous polarization of nonlinear nanoparticles and the interaction between the SiR chains and the nonlinear nanoparticles at the interfacial area.
