Gender differentiation in the Ukrainian song tradition is most consistently manifested in the ritual system, and partly – in the epic tradition and lyrical song tradition. The primary attention in the article is paid to the ritual sphere, first of all to the calendar cycle. The paper highlights in detail the traditional distribution of functions between men and women in pre-Christian rituals, during which, according to ancient ideas and beliefs, there was some contact between «that» (sacred) and «this» («profane») worlds. Males, or more precisely, boys who were members of the so-called «parubotchi gromady» (young men communities) took an active part in the rites only once a year – at the beginning of the calendar-time cycle that is, in winter (in ancient times this happened in the spring) during the rituals of the yards circumambulation. The main purpose of these actions was to wish good for each family from the dead ancestors for the coming year (verbal magic), and in return, the ancestors received gifts – sacrificial food from representatives of the living world to appease them for the next year. Women, as representatives of «this» world, maintained contact with otherworldly forces throughout the entire agrarian period from sowing to harvest, as well as in ceremonies associated with the birth of a child, a wedding, or escorting the deceased to the afterlife. In times of crisis in the development of nature and human life, they turned to their deceased ancestors for help. The magical instrument of this connection was the voice, which filled the ritual texts with specific ritual timbre-intonation. The gender distribution in other genres of Ukrainian traditional song is somewhat different. Thus, if in the epic songs the prerogative belongs to men, then the lyric song system is characterized by the joint and almost equal participation of men and women. However, it should be noted that the performers of social songs were predominantly men, and women sang family lyric songs. But the most common was a mixed lineup of singing groups. Even more this property is inherent in the late layer of lyrical song performance. The author also draws attention to the age aspect of the performance of ritual and non-ritual songs in the Ukrainian tradition

Abstract For an Otto cycle there always exists a trade-off between the cycle efficiency and the output power due to the requirement of cycle length. The shortcut to adiabatic (STA) technology provides an effective way to deal with the difficulty of zero-output power in conventional Otto cycle. In this paper, the Otto cycle of three-qubit system as the working substance (WS) with counterdiabatic (CD) driving has been investigated. It is demonstrated that the tripartite Otto cycle as a universal machine, in the suitable regimes of external control parameter, could work as a quantum heat engine (QHE), refrigerator or heat pump. And, the performances of QHE and refrigerator with and without STA, such as the power and efficiency of QHE and the coefficient of performance (COP) and figure of merit (FOM)) of refrigerator, have been investigated. It shows the application of STA scheme can lead to an effective enhancement in the performances of Otto cycle, including achievements of a high QHE’s/refrigerator’s power associated with a moderate QHE’s efficiency/COP of refrigerator. Especially, it is interesting that even in a short-time cycle the optimization of control parameters could arise a remarkable improvement in the efficiency (or COP) of STA QHE (refrigerator), approaching the ideal efficiency or COP of conventional Otto cycle with quasi-static process. Finally, with the aid of parameter optimization the trade-off regions between the efficiency and the power (the COP and the FOM) of STA Otto engine (refrigerator) have been advised.

Abstract Recently, two-dimensional (2D) boron nanosheets have been predicted to exhibit exceptional physical and chemical properties, which is expected to be widely used in advanced electronics, optoelectronic, energy storage and conversion devices. However, the experimental application of 2D boron nanosheets in hydrogen evolution reactiuon (HER) has not been reported. Here, we have grown ultrathin boron nanosheets on tungsten foils via chemical vapor deposition (CVD). The prepared triclinic boron nanosheets are highly crystalline, which perfectly match the structure in the previous theoretical calculations. Notably, the boron nanosheets show excellent HER performance. The Tafel slope is only 64 mV/dec-1 and the nanosheets can maintain good stability under long-time cycle in acidic solution. The improvement of performance is mainly due to the metal properties and a large number of exposed active sites on the boron nanosheets, which is confirmed by first-principle calculations.

Abstract Purpose To explore the hope levels and influencing factors in infertile women undergoing first-time and repeated in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) cycles. Methods This study was a cross-sectional and convenient sampling study conducted among patients undergoing IVF-ET from January to June 2019. Patients were divided into first-time and repeated groups by the number of IVF-ET cycles, and then a questionnaire survey was administered. The questionnaire included demographic information, Herth hope index (HHI) scale, Locke-Wallace short marital-adjustment test scale and social support rating scale. Multiple linear regression was used to analyse the influencing factors associated with hope levels. Results A total of 298 IVF-ET patients were recruited for the study, including 150 (50.3%) in the first-time cycle group and 148 (49.7%) in the repeated cycle group. The HHI score of the repeated cycle group was significantly lower than that of the first-time cycle group (34.4 ± 3.5 vs. 37.5 ± 3.7, P < 0.001). Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that repeated IVF-ET and age were independently negatively correlated with HHI, with standardized coefficient β values of − 0.895 and − 0.223, respectively (both P < 0.001). High education level (P = 0.002), high monthly income (P = 0.020), high degree of short marital-adjustment test (P < 0.001) and social support rating (P < 0.001) were independently positively correlated with HHI. Conclusion Infertile women undergoing repeated IVF-ET have low hope levels. Maintaining a good marriage adjustment and establishing a good social support and relationship network could effectively improve their hope levels.

The current basically Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) efficiently supports different service classes, i.e., Giant Prime concern (GP) traffic and Efficiently-best (EE) traffic, in future-generation networks. The difficult task is finding the efficient Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) procedure task which suggests service classes of bandwidth simultaneously. This paper suggests improved version to DBA algorithm, Remodeled version-Hybrid division-size/Rate (HDSR) scheme. The modified control message scheduling algorithm is also discussed along with Remodeled-HDSR Algorithm which fits to the proposed scheme. In the modified Remodeled-HSSR scheme, time cycle length is identical classified accordingly with two subparts. In algorithm as explained in order to increase traffic density, the subdivision part of the planned cycle, the traffic conditions are dynamically suggested an improved version for Best effort traffic of multiple ONUs. In the First subdivision part of the span time analysis time will not be compressed, particularly at less buffer status conditions plan buffer status of the HP traffic. The Remodeled control message algorithm which predefined status and is scheduled particularly which controls connecting the sub-parts of the planned cycles of the sequence time and in-turn increases synchronization between two Gate messages to particular ONUs.

Dance is a human cultural activity aimed at non-verbal emotional communication, mentioned for the first time in the circle of European culture by Homer in the Iliad (8th/7th century BC). In Indian culture — the most extensive one of four contemporary civilizations of antiquity (next to Egyptian, Mesopotamian, and Chinese), whose cradle is the Indus Valley Civilization — the first material evidence of the presence of dance is dated between 2300–1750 BC. It is a bronze statuette of a dancing girl, making us aware of the fact that this type of activity has accompanied people since the dawn of time, regardless of their origin and cultural affiliation. India and its oldest religion, Hinduism, have made this art highly prized because of its original, pure spiritual character. The first treatise entirely devoted to dance, entitled Natyashastra (Treatise on Performing Arts), was written according to tradition between the 2nd century BC and the 2nd century AD, although many premises indicate that its beginnings date back to the 5th century BC, and the final version — to around 5th century AD. Its author was Bharata Muni, an ancient sage, theatrologist and musicologist who allegedly received knowledge of arts from the god Brahma himself to create a symbolic representation of the world which, by showing good and evil, would persuade both the viewers and the performers to act ethically. From Natyashastra it appears that dance was created by the gods for their worship. In its most original form, dance grew out of the sacrificial ritual, hence the knowledge of it was secret, highly codified and communicated in strict confidentiality. The patron of the dance and its divine performer par excellence is the god Shiva in the aspect of Nataraja (Lord of the Dance), who in one image combines god as the creator, protector and destroyer of the universe, while simultaneously containing the Indian concept of an endless time cycle. Accurate recreation of the mythical dance initiated by Shiva guarantees that the faithful achieve salvation by overcoming sin, ignorance, and laziness represented by the demon Apasmara, on whom the god treads in a dancing trance. For the Indian Hindu culture dance has a highly important ritualistic and mystical meaning, hence it is also present along with music and singing, which is a melodic recitation of sacred verses, in all literature, from the Vedas (sacred books of Hinduism), through encyclopedic Puranas, to epics such as Mahabharata and Ramayana. Dance is indispensable to the theater as well as visual and audiovisual arts, brings relief to those in mourning and sorrow, leads to liberation from samsara (the wheel of incarnations), and is a reflection of divinity in its purest, most dynamic manifestation: movement. Thanks to dance being a rejection of oneself, entering a mystical trance, one can connect with the Absolute here on Earth and experience divinity.

Real-time cycle slip detection and repair is one of the key issues in global positioning system (GPS) high precision data processing and application. In particular, when GPS stations are in special environments, such as strong ionospheric disturbance, sea, and high-voltage transmission line interference, cycle slip detection and repair in low elevation GPS observation data are more complicated than those in normal environments. For low elevation GPS undifferenced carrier phase data in different environments, a combined cycle slip detection algorithm is proposed. This method uses the first-order Gauss–Markov stochastic process to model the pseudorange multipath in the wide-lane phase minus narrow-lane pseudorange observation equation, and establishes the state equation of the wide-lane ambiguity with the pseudorange multipath as a parameter, and it uses the Kalman filter for real-time estimation and detects cycle slips based on statistical hypothesis testing with a predicted residual sequence. Meanwhile, considering there are certain correlations among low elevation, observation epoch interval, and ionospheric delay error, a second-order difference geometry-free combination cycle slip test is constructed that takes into account the elevation. By combining the two methods, real-time cycle slip detection for GPS low elevation satellite undifferenced data is achieved. A cycle slip repair method based on spatial search and objective function minimization criterion is further proposed to determine the correct solution of the cycle slips after they are detected. The whole algorithm is experimentally verified using the static and kinematic measured data of low elevation satellites under four different environments: normal condition, high-voltage transmission lines, dynamic condition in the sea, and ionospheric disturbances. The experimental results show that the algorithm can detect and repair cycle slips accurately for low elevation GPS undifferenced data, the difference between the float solution and the true value for the cycle slip does not exceed 0.5 cycle, and the differences obey the normal distribution overall. At the same time, the wide-lane ambiguity and second-order difference GF combination sequence calculated by the algorithm is smoother, which give further evidence that the algorithm for cycle slip detection and repair is feasible and effective, and has the advantage of being immune to the special observation environments.
