Abstract Purpose To explore the hope levels and influencing factors in infertile women undergoing first-time and repeated in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) cycles. Methods This study was a cross-sectional and convenient sampling study conducted among patients undergoing IVF-ET from January to June 2019. Patients were divided into first-time and repeated groups by the number of IVF-ET cycles, and then a questionnaire survey was administered. The questionnaire included demographic information, Herth hope index (HHI) scale, Locke-Wallace short marital-adjustment test scale and social support rating scale. Multiple linear regression was used to analyse the influencing factors associated with hope levels. Results A total of 298 IVF-ET patients were recruited for the study, including 150 (50.3%) in the first-time cycle group and 148 (49.7%) in the repeated cycle group. The HHI score of the repeated cycle group was significantly lower than that of the first-time cycle group (34.4 ± 3.5 vs. 37.5 ± 3.7, P < 0.001). Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that repeated IVF-ET and age were independently negatively correlated with HHI, with standardized coefficient β values of − 0.895 and − 0.223, respectively (both P < 0.001). High education level (P = 0.002), high monthly income (P = 0.020), high degree of short marital-adjustment test (P < 0.001) and social support rating (P < 0.001) were independently positively correlated with HHI. Conclusion Infertile women undergoing repeated IVF-ET have low hope levels. Maintaining a good marriage adjustment and establishing a good social support and relationship network could effectively improve their hope levels.

One cycle of chemotherapy does not eliminate all cancer cells, therefore it takes a repeated cycle (Williams, et al, 2016), so the guarantee the availability of chemotherapy drugs is needed. An effective drug requirement planning is required to ensure the availability of chemotherapy drug. This study was intended to determine the effectiveness of planning the need for chemotherapy drugs using the morbidity method on the availability of chemotherapy drugs in Dr. Ramelan Navy Hospital. This study was an observational study with a cross sectional study design. The instrument used in this study was the data collection sheet with data sources prescription sheets and sheets of chemotherapy drug reconstitution during 2015-2017. Descriptive data analysis and to determine effective planning methods using indicators of drug availability. The results showed that the planning of drug needs with the morbidity method can better guarantee the availability of chemotherapy drugs and can minimize drug shortages compared to the consumption method that has been done so far in Dr. Ramelan Navy Hosptal. So it can be concluded that in this study, the morbidity method is effective in meeting the needs of chemotherapy drugs.

The genetic signature of modern Europeans is the cumulated result of millennia of discrete small-scale exchanges between multiple distinct population groups that performed a repeated cycle of movement, settlement, and interactions with each other. In this study we aimed to highlight one such minute genetic cycle in a sea of genetic interactions by reconstructing part of the genetic story of the migration, settlement, interaction, and legacy of what is today the Transylvanian Saxon. The analysis of the mitochondrial DNA control region of 13 medieval individuals from Feldioara necropolis (Transylvania region, Romania) reveals a genetically heterogeneous group where all identified haplotypes are different. Most of the perceived maternal lineages are of Western Eurasian origin, except for the Central Asiatic haplogroup C seen in only one sample. Comparisons with historical and modern populations describe the contribution of the investigated Saxon settlers to the genetic history of this part of Europe.

In the field of water resource management, rainfall intensity-duration-frequency (IDF) curves are of great importance, especially in the design of hydraulic structures and the assessment of flash-flood risks. The aim of this study is to obtain IDF curves and find empirical equations for rain duration for Al-Najaf city in the southwest of Iraq. Rainfall data for 30 years, from 1989 to 2018, were collected. The practical reduction equation of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), with six methods of probability distribution, was used for short intervals (0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 6, 12, and 24 hours) with a specified recurrence period (100, 50, 25, 10, 5, and 2 years). The Kolmogorov-Smirnov, chi-squared, and Anderson-Darling goodness of fit tests were used with the help of EasyFit 5.6 software. The findings revealed that the highest intensity of rainfall occurs during a repeated cycle of 100 years with a duration of 0.25 hours, while the lowest intensity of rainfall occurs during a repeated cycle of 2 years with a duration of 24 hours. In the results obtained from the six methods, as well as the superiority of the log Pearson type III method, the consistency of the fit tests showed some convergence.

The article presents an analysis of literature data and the results of own prospective studies of the application of the local iatrogenic injury method with the parallel introduction of plasma enriched with platelets into the basal layer of the endometrium in pregravid preparation for treatment with assisted reproductive technologies (ART) in patients with tubal peritoneal infertility and marked lag development of the endometrium. The objective: was to determine the optimal time for the injection of scratch scratching in pregravid preparation before the next cycle of ART treatment in patients with tubal peritoneal infertility and marked lag in the development of the endometrium. Materials and methods. The study included 109 patients with unsuccessful attempts to treat ART with a tubal peritoneal factor of infertility with a marked degree of lag in the development of the endometrium according to absolute indications. The subjects were divided into three groups. Group A – 47 patients who experienced a marked lag in the development of the endometrium during the control stimulation of superovulation during ART (ETC + ET) and suggested the application of the procedure of injection scaling of the endometrium on the 7th day of the stimulation cycle (CA). Group B – 32 patients who underwent the procedure of injection endometrial scratching on the 22nd day of the menstrual cycle (MC), which preceded the repeated cycle of CGI + ET. Group B – 30 patients who underwent the procedure of injection endometrial scratching on the 8th day of the MC, which preceded the repeated cycle of CCN + ET. Results. The use of injection scratches is more effective in improving the clinical outcomes of ART by using the methods of ART (CAS + ET) in the case of a pronounced delay in the development of the endometrium in the follicular phase of the CA on the 6th to 7th day of gonadotropin use. During treatment with ART, the frequency of pregnancy for each transfer of embryos (CHNBPE) was significantly lower, amounting to 9.4% (3 of 32) in group B and 7.1% (2 of 28) in group B than CHNBPE in group A – 27.7% (13 of 47). The frequency of early reproductive losses in group A was 23.1% (3 of 13), in group B – 66.7% (2 of 3), in group B – 50% (1 of 2). Conclusion. During the study of the optimal period for the appointment of injection scratching, it was found that injection endometrial scratching using autoplasma enriched with platelets demonstrates the best pregnancy rate for each transfer of embryos and low early reproductive loss if performed in the follicular phase of the stimulation cycle by 6–7th day of gonadotropins). Key words: infertility, methods of assisted reproductive technology, hypoplasia of the endometrium, hysteroscopy, plasma-riched platelets.
