The negative impact of economic development led to the emergence of a new concept, which has been termed sustainable development. It has significantly influenced the way of thinking about relations occurring in the social, economic, and environmental areas. There are many definitions of this concept in literature. Effective implementation of the principles of this concept requires understanding and building environmental awareness. Implementation of the concept at the enterprise level requires managers to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills and at the same time the ability to perceive and look at the issue of sustainable development from the perspective of benefits. The paper presents the results of a study conducted in 2021 among 216 managers of small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland. The research aimed to assess the awareness of the idea of sustainability among the management staff of small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland and its impact on their functioning. The results of the research were compared to the results of research conducted by the author in 2008. The research has shown a significant increase in the awareness of the idea of sustainable development. This applies both to the everyday behaviors of respondents and declared actions carried out in enterprises they manage. The main factor motivating the surveyed companies to undertake pro-environmental actions is the conviction that it is necessary to care for the environment and not to avoid paying fines and fees. The respondents see specific benefits from such activities.

When identifying the enterprise database data information, the enterprise database operational dimension measurement platform based on the bilinear method will produce ringing or overshoot effect, the database data monitoring effect is poor as well as the accuracy of operation measurement. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a method to build an enterprise level database operation and maintenance measurement platform based on bidirectional coupling algorithm. Build enterprise database operation measurement platform. The enterprise database monitoring platform is connected with the monitoring database by remote database chain. The Oracle database job scheduling method is used to obtain the monitoring index information in the monitored database, and the database memory performance is comprehensively evaluated by MPI (Memory Perform Index). The platform uses semantic capture layer and related analysis layer to distinguish user behavior, analyze user experience satisfaction, and realize the operation measurement of enterprise level database. The experimental results show that the operational measurement platform built by this method has high throughput, low memory occupancy rate, high measurement accuracy and good user experience.

In the past two decades, a large amount of attention has been devoted to the introduction of smart manufacturing concepts and technologies into industrial practice. In Europe, these efforts have been supported by European research and innovation programs, bringing together research and application parties. In this paper, we provide an overview of a series of four content-wise connected projects on the European scale that are aimed at advancing smart manufacturing, with a focus on connecting processes on smart factory shop floors to manufacturing equipment on the one hand and enterprise-level business processes on the other hand. These projects cover several tens of application cases across Europe. We present our experiences in the form of a single, informal longitudinal case study, highlighting both the major advances and the current limitations of developments. To organize these experiences, we place them in the context of the well-known RAMI4.0 reference framework for Industry 4.0 (covering the ISA-95 standard). Then, we analyze the experiences, both the positive ones and those including problems, and draw our learnings from these. In doing so, we do not present novel technological developments in this paper—these are presented in the papers we refer to—but concentrate on the main issues we have observed to guide future developments in research efforts and industrial innovation in the smart industry domain.

Abstract Objectives This study aimed to develop a virtual electronic health record (EHR) training and optimization program and evaluate the impact of the virtual model on provider and staff burnout and electronic health record (EHR) experience. Methods UCHealth created and supported a multidisciplinary EHR optimization and training program, known as the Epic Sprint Program. The Sprint Team conducted dozens of onsite Sprint events over the course of several years prior to the pandemic but transitioned to a fully virtual program and successfully “sprinted” 21 outpatient clinics from May to December 2020. Core program components of group and 1:1 training, workflow analysis, and new or adjusted EHR build were unchanged from the onsite model. Pre- and post-Sprint surveys provided detailed, objective data about EHR usability, EHR proficiency, job satisfaction, and burnout. Results The EHR Net Promoter Score (NPS), a likelihood to recommend metric, increased by 39 points (−3 pre and 36 post; p < 0.001) for providers and 29 points (8 pre and 37 post; p = 0.001) for staff post-Sprint. Positive provider (NPS = +53) and staff (NPS = +47) NPS scores indicated a high likelihood to recommend the Sprint Program. Post-Sprint surveys also reflect an increase in providers (10%; p = 0.04) and staff (9%; 0.13) who indicated “no burnout” or “did not feel burned out.” Discussion The UCHealth Sprint Team transitioned this comprehensive, enterprise level initiative from an onsite model to a fully virtual EHR training and optimization program during the first few months of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Despite this change in program delivery, survey data clearly demonstrated improved EHR satisfaction, a high likelihood to recommend a sprint to a friend or colleague, and a trend toward burnout reduction in providers and staff. Conclusion Changing an existing on-site EHR optimization program to a purely virtual format can be successful, and this study showed improved provider and staff EHR satisfaction with reduced burnout.

The article analyzes the economic essence of such an important component for any enterprise as economic security. The importance of protecting the enterprise from all sorts of threats, as well as the need for their constant monitoring, is substantiated. The need to ensure the economic security of the enterprise is determined not only at the enterprise level, but also at the state security level. Two main approaches to the definition of the concept of "economic security" were identified, on the basis of which a definition was given of the concept of "economic security of the enterprise" in modern conditions of functioning on the Ukrainian market. The term “threats” was analyzed, on the basis of which the term “threat to the economic security of an enterprise” was defined. A classification and ranking of threats was formed depending on their nature and the degree of danger they represent. Based on the classification of threats, it was concluded that, in addition to common global threats, threats for each enterprise have certain characteristics depending on its type and nature of activity. It was concluded that the factors of formation of dangers and threats to the activities of the enterprise can be considered from different points of view, depending on the sphere of formation, mechanisms of influence and the possibility of forecasting. Based on the above definition, the causes of global threats, as well as threats at enterprises, are formed, a classification of factors that form threats is given. Given the problems of industrial enterprises in Ukraine, specific threats to industrial enterprises were examined on the basis of criteria put forward by various scientists. It was concluded that threats to the economic security of the enterprise overlap and intertwine, which leads to certain difficulties in identifying them when constructing economic security systems and identifying the subjects and objects of economic security.

Abstract While many companies have embarked on their digital transformation journeys implementing different forms of "Digital Twins" to cover specific business processes and challenges, their main challenge has been integrating these disparate Digital Twin projects into one single combined view to create significant new value and competitive advantage for the business. To be effective, the Digital Twin needs to be capable of supporting the entire asset lifecycle from the early phases of a capital project to operations and maintenance up to asset retirement, leveraging the same data in a platform able to support the end-to-end process. This paper looks at several approaches, which large owner operators at different levels of organizational information management maturity have used to build their Enterprise Scale Digital Twin strategies. It uses the lessons learned to highlight the successes and failures of these strategies and recommended approaches going forward. The results observed, identify that whilst there is a reasonably standard roadmap for approaching the development of Digital Twins most customers begin at different points along that journey. It also highlights that the end goal may not be the same across an Enterprise and that by taking the development of a Digital Twin as a series of incremental steps, independent of the starting point, serves to accelerate the journey by driving an increase in the organizational maturity in terms of People, Process and Technology and an improvement in data quality. One of the key components in any strategy was the ability to manage the information standard for the Digital Twin at an Enterprise level, for both greenfield and brownfield organizations and assets. The paper concludes the benefits of technical and commercial scalability and the requirements to get a solid manageable and trustworthy core of information should be at the heart of any Enterprise-wide Digital Twin strategy. This is contrary to the common approach of building a single detailed Proof of Concept (PoC) addressing as many use cases as possible and then templatizing that as an approach to repeat around the Enterprise, which often leads to failure on additional deployments where the maturity and challenges are different.

Currently, practical network packet processing used for In-trusion Detection Systems/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) tendto belong to one of two disjoint categories: software-only implementa-tions running on general-purpose CPUs, or highly specialized networkhardware implementations using ASICs or FPGAs for the most commonfunctions, general-purpose CPUs for the rest. These approaches cover tryto maximize the performance and minimize the cost, but neither system, when implemented effectively, is affordable to any clients except for thoseat the well-funded enterprise level. In this paper, we aim to improve theperformance of affordable network packet processing in heterogeneoussystems with consumer Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) hardware byoptimizing latency-tolerant packet processing operations, notably IDS,to obtain maximum throughput required by such systems in networkssophisticated enough to demand a dedicated IDS/IPS system, but notenough to justify the high cost of cutting-edge specialized hardware. Inparticular, this project investigated increasing the granularity of OSIlayer-based packet batching over that of previous batching approaches. We demonstrate that highly granular GPU-enabled packet processing isgenerally impractical, compared with existing methods, by implementingour own solution that we call Corvyd, a heterogeneous real-time packetprocessing engine.
