The present study shows the results of a completed first cycle of recurrent selection in a middle late synthetic population “1/2017” and the inbred lines PAU 1617 and B 113 are used as a recurrent parents. The aim of the improving selection is to obtain from the synthetic inbred lines which are later to be used as parental forms for receiving hybrids of this maturity group. The experimental work was carried out in the period 2017 – 2019 when two hundred and ten testcrosses were tested. After the data was analyzed, eighty even inbred progeny variants displaying the best results have been included for crosspollination and a new cycle of breeding. The genetic variability in the synthetic has been preserved as the selected progeny represent 41,4 % of the initially chosen ones. The index of variability after recurrent selection is 12,2 % which allows for efficient testing in the subsequent stages of the improving selection. As a direct outcome of the research, thirteen crosses have been pointed out – B 113 x 37/1, B 113 x 25/5, PAU 1617 x 71/3, B 113 x 29/1, B 113 x 33/1, PAU 1617 x 97/3, PAU 1617 x 85/3, B 113 x 71/5, B 113 x 71/6, B 113 x 53/1, B 113 x 55/1, B 113 x 77/3 and B 113 x 43/1. They exceed in grain yield the foreign standard in the maturity group respectively with 25.2, 20.0, 16.9, 16.6, 15.1, 15.0, 13.1, 12.5, 10.5, 9.0, 8.8, 8.8 and 8.2%. They are still tested in varietal and ecological trials.

This paper takes the typical foreign standard development organizations IEEE, ASTM, W3C, and IETF as examples to analyze the characteristics of organizational structure and standard developing procedures. These four organizations are typical representative of foreign SDOs which can be divided into two categories, one is represented by IEEE and ASTM which are legal entities and their standardization organization structure and standard development procedures are relatively fixed. The other is represented by W3C and IETF, which are relatively loose and open and their standardization organizations and standard development process are more flexible. At the same time, this paper also selects the top ten social organizations that are active on the Chinese national information platform of social organization standard. Compared with foreign social organizations, it is found that their standardization organization structures are not transparent enough and too concentrated. It also found that the standard development process of Chinese social organization is relatively simple and lack of innovation.

The article presents the concepts of the assessment of harmfulness of vibrations generated from various sources. Domestic and foreign standard procedures were discussed, including ISO proposals. It has been pointed out that all procedures can be considered as indirect ones, that they refer to vibrations affecting humans, and not those resulting from the dynamic response induced in individual human organs. The same applies to the criteria for determining the loss of life in communication collisions. It was pointed out that in the literature we find attempts of a direct approach, the essence of which is to study the dynamic reaction of individual human organs inscribed in the one or twodimensional model. The results of own tests of a person subjected to intensive oscillatory procedures were presented in order to identify the stiffness model proposed to assess the harmfulness of industrial type vibrations. It has been shown that two-dimensional models can be suitable here. Keywords: harmful effect of vibrations, human biomechanical models, one-dimensional model C.M. Harris, model identification, differential solution.

This research will be conducted in accordance with Indonesian Standard SK SNI and foreign standard ASTM. The test object consists of a cylindrical test with the diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm, and it is developed to 4 mixture variations with the amount of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, of total cement. The mechanical properties of concrete is being tested include concrete compressive strength. Itis tested at the age of 7 days, and then converted at 28 days, using test objects mixed with different fiber variations. The results of the test are: compressive strength test with 2% variation is 7,54MPa, compressive strength testwith 4% variation is 6,74 Mpa, compressive strength with 6% variation is 4,58 Mpa, compressive strength with 8% variation is 3.63 MPa. Maximum concrete compressive strength occurs in 2% fiber  mixture, while the minimum concrete compressive strength occurs in 8%. From these results, it can be concluded that the addition of water hyacinth fiber to the mixture for low quality concrete has not been able to increase its compressive strength. Keywords: Fiber, Water Hyacinth, Concrete Compressive Strength.

Abstract This paper examines the process of Mandarinization in Singapore, and the effects of this process on the construction of Chinese ethnicity in Singapore. It does this through an analysis of official government speeches, followed by a questionnaire study examining the beliefs and attitudes of Chinese Singaporeans toward three varieties of Mandarin-Chinese, as well as Chinese “dialects” and English. The discourse analysis reveals an underlying assertion of a primordial relationship between Mandarin-Chinese and Chinese ethnicity. This, however, is not reflected in the beliefs of Chinese Singaporeans, who value Mandarin-Chinese for mainly instrumental reasons, and associated with a foreign standard. Chinese ethnicity in Singapore is instead constructed through a combination of Mandarin-Chinese, “dialects” and English. Ultimately, such a discrepancy results from Mandrinization’s dependence on an oversimplified understanding of language and ethnicity in Singapore.

AbstractSince the 1990s, most European countries have adopted detailed corporate governance codes regulating listed companies. Even though the initial codes were designed against the backdrop of a particular jurisdiction, best practice standards have become remarkably similar across legal traditions. This raises the question whether the codes are sufficiently responsive to local conditions, or standard setters are mainly motivated by the concern not to fall behind internationally accepted benchmark standards. The article quantifies central corporate governance provisions and maps their international diffusion. Controlling for differences in legal families and ownership structure, the article shows that the diffusion of best practice standards leads to a statistically significant increase in the likelihood that a foreign standard setter will adopt a broadly similar provision. The findings indicate that codes are often seen as signaling devices, irrespective of whether or not the adopted standards are well aligned with the domestic economic and legal environment.
