To promote Agaricus sinodeliciosus var. Chaidam ZJU-TP-08 growth and metabolites accumulation, a novel integrated strategy was developed by adopting high levels of metal ions coupled with light treatment. The results revealed that yellow and blue light could significantly promote biomass and exopolysaccharides production, respectively. Furthermore, the yellow–blue light shift strategy could stimulate exopolysaccharides formation. Ca2+ ions coupled with blue light mostly promoted exopolysaccharides production related to oxidative stress, which was 42.00% and 58.26% higher than that of Ca2+ ions coupled with the non-light and dark cultivation without Ca2+ ions in 5-L bioreactor. RNA-seq was performed to uncover the underlined molecular mechanism regulated by light-induced gene expressions in exopolysaccharides biosynthesis and oxidative stress. The findings of this work provide valuable insights into adopting metal ions coupled with the light-assisted method for the macrofungus submerged fermentation for exopolysaccharides production.

The shift strategy of automatic transmission plays a vital role in the smoothness and economy of heavy-duty mining trucks. In this paper, an engine fuel consumption model, a 6 + 2 speed automatic transmission model, and a vehicle resistance model are built in MATLAB. Combined with the development of smart mining technology, the traditional two-parameter economic shift strategy is corrected based on vehicle load and road slope. The dynamic programming optimization algorithm is used to extract the best economical shift strategy under known working conditions to reduce the fuel consumption and the number of shifts. Finally, simulation experiments of the optimized shift strategy by dynamic programming in a typical mine work cycle are carried out. The simulation results show that the engine speed and output torque are maintained in a relatively stable and efficient working range by using the proposed shift strategy. Compared with the traditional two-parameter shift strategy, dynamic programming has advantages in reducing fuel consumption and shift numbers.

Deficits in reward decision-making are thought to contribute to criminal offending. These impairments have been measured in laboratory studies using the Iowa Gambling Task (IGT) which assesses implicit learning of different reward/punishment contingencies. This study compared IGT performance between a sample of justice-involved individuals and community-based individuals without an offending history. Participants included 100 adults from two Canadian federal correctional institutions (34% female, Mage = 39.14 ± 9.74) and a comparison group of 89 community adults with no history of offending (39% female, Mage = 37.04 ± 10.79). Responses on the IGT were analyzed for overall net score, learning across the task, and deck switching patterns. Associations between IGT performance and sentence characteristics and static factors assessment of recidivism risk were examined for the justice-involved group. The justice-involved group performed significantly worse than community adults in terms of net score. While the community group learned the advantageous strategy across the task, justice-involved participants exhibited minimal learning. This effect was moderated by recidivism risk within the justice-involved group, with individuals at low risk, but not medium/high risk, showing improvement over the blocks of the task. Finally, the justice-involved group also made greater use of an ineffective “win-stay/lose-shift” strategy. These results suggest that, compared with community participants without history of offending, incarcerated adults tend to employ maladaptive decision-making strategies that yield worse overall outcomes and the extent of impairment is associated with recidivism risk.

Abstract A novel strategy has been established to assemble an array of densely substituted pyridine derivatives from nitriles and o-substituted aryl alkynes or 1-methyl-1,3-enynes via a non-classical [4 + 2] cycloaddition along with 1,5-hydrogen shift process. The well-balanced affinities of two different alkali metal salts enable the C(sp3)-H bond activation as well as the excellent chemo- and regioselectivities. This protocol offers a new guide to construct pyridine frameworks from nitriles with sp3-carbon pronucleophiles, and shows potential applications in organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry.
