The problem of optimizing the topography of metal structures allowing Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) sensing is considered. We developed a model, which randomly distributes hemispheroidal particles over a given area of the glass substrate and estimates SERS capabilities of the obtained structures. We applied Power Spectral Density (PSD) analysis to modeled structures and to atomic force microscope images widely used in SERS metal island films and metal dendrites. The comparison of measured and calculated SERS signals from differing characteristics structures with the results of PSD analysis of these structures has shown that this approach allows simple identification and choosing a structure topography, which is capable of providing the maximal enhancement of Raman signal within a given set of structures of the same type placed on the substrate.

All of us are aware that the modern mechanical and electrical systems in collaboration with AI, CPS, and IoT have affected our lives drastically. At one end, they have provided ease and comfort. On the other end, the electrical and magnetic radiations emitted by them have threatened the mental and physical fitness. Surprisingly, the Asian Agnihotra process effectively reduces the electrical, magnetic radiations emitting from electronic devices. The chapter deals with the computational analysis of electrical, magnetic radiation, and power density measurement of environmental effects and gadgets after the Homa therapy. In the gap of a specific time, readings were recorded, and it was observed that drastic reduction occurred at the place where Yajna was performed. This gap was curtailed gradually as time increased. The phenomenon can undoubtedly be used to address human health threats due to electronic gadgets in the 21st century. Also, it supports the concepts of smart cities where one can quickly identify the numerous effects of the Yajna process.

Abstract Background Morphological and tissue density analysis of the sternum can be performed in the preoperative computed tomography (CT). The purpose of this study was to analyze morphology and tissue density of sternum in CT and effect for comparison sternal instability. Methods Patients with sternal instability (n = 61) and sternal stability (n = 66) were enrolled in this study. All of the patients were studied using same thorax CT procedure. All the measurements were performed by one specific cardiovascular radiologist. The Hounsfield units (HUs) were measured in axial sections of the sternum trabecular bone. Results Sternal instability group mean HU was 75.36 ± 13.19 and sternal stability group HU was 90.24 ± 12.16 (p < 0.000). HU is the statically significant predictor of sternal instability. Conclusion Our study showed a significant correlation between the mean HU value of sternum and sternal instability. We think that it is important to evaluate the existing thorax CT while performing preoperative risk analysis for sternal dehiscence.

A Watershed is an ecosystem whose first component consists of natural resources vegetation, land, water, and human resources. Tabunio watershed covering an area of 62,558.56 hectares consists of 10 sub-watersheds. The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is used in vegetation density analysis. Vulnerability of environmental damage is the condition of a region that has the potential for environmental damage due to human activities and or activities that have the potential to cause environmental impacts.The purpose of vegetation density analysis is carried out for the evaluation of environmental vulnerability dynamics in Tabunio watershed, i.e: 1). Knowing changes in land cover; 2. Knowing the classification of vegetation density; 3. Determine efforts to increase vegetation density. The benefits of this analysis are to obtain directives that can have a positive impact on the control of flood suppliers' vulnerability and environmental vulnerability by determining forest and land rehabilitation techniques.Based on the results of mapping and analysis obtained: 1) changes in land cover in 2005-2020 are dominant in forest land cover, open land, settlements, plantations, swamp farming, shrubs, and mining; 2) Vegetation density in the upstream sub-watershed is dominated by the classification of dense and very tight vegetation density; 3) The green revolution of the upstream watershed is dominated for ecological purposes with dense and very close vegetation, the central part of the watershed is dominated for ecological, economic and social with tight vegetation, downstream green revolution watershed dominated for economic and social interests with dense and sparse vegetation

The modulation of electron density at the Pyridoxal 5-phosphate (PLP) catalytic center, due to charge transfer across the α-Helix-PLP interface, is the determining factor for the enzymatic activities in the human Cystathionine β-Synthase (hCBS) enzyme. Applying density-based first-principle calculations in conjunction with the real space density analysis, we investigated the charge density delocalization across the entire Heme-α-Helix-PLP electron communication channels. The hydrogen bonds at the interfaces, i.e. Heme-α-Helix and α-Helix-PLP interfaces, are found to play the pivotal role in bi-directional electron transfer towards the α-Helix. Moreover, the internal hydrogen bonds of α-Helix that are crucial for its secondary structure also actively participate in the electron redistribution through the structured hydrogen bond network. α-Helix is found to accumulate the electron density at the ground state from both the cofactors and behaves as an electron reservoir for catalytic reaction at the electrophilic center of PLP.

Forest and land fires occur every year in Indonesia. Efforts to handle forest and land fires have not been optimal because fires occur in too many places with unclear patterns and densities. The study analyzed the spatiotemporal patterns of burned areas and fire density in fire-prone areas in Indonesia. Data of burned areas were taken from http://sipongi.menlhk.go.id/. The website collected its data from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) images. Data were analyzed using the hot spot analysis to determine the spatiotemporal patterns of the burned areas and the kernel density analysis to examine the density of land fires. Findings showed that the spatiotemporal pattern from 2016 to 2019 formed a hot spot value in the peatland area with a confidence level of 90–99%, meaning that land fires were clustered in that area. In addition, the highest density of land fires also occurred in the peatland areas. Clustered burned areas with high fire density were found in areas with low–medium vegetation density—they were the peatland areas. The peatland areas must become the priority to prevent and handle forest and land fires to reduce fire risks.

AbstractA new gravity survey (1164 gravity stations and 180 samples for density analysis) combined with two new geological cross sections has been carried out in a sector of the Central Pyrenees in order to improve the characterization of basement and cover architecture. From North to South, the study area comprises the southern half of the Axial Zone and the northernmost part of the South-Pyrenean Zone. New gravity data were combined with previous existing databases to obtain the Bouguer and residual anomaly maps of the study area. The two cross sections, oriented NNE–SSW, were built from field data and previous surficial and subsurface data and cross the La Maladeta plutonic complex. The residual anomaly map shows values ranging from −18 to 16 mGal and anomalies mainly oriented N120E. The two 2.5D modelled cross sections show similar observed gravity curves coinciding with similar interpreted structural architecture. Data show a gravity high oriented N120E coinciding with the Orri basement thrust sheet and an important gravity depression, with the same orientation, coinciding with the leading edge at depth of the Rialp basement thrust sheet and interpreted as linked to a large subsurface accumulation of Triassic evaporites. The volume at depth of the La Maladeta and Arties granites has been constrained through gravity modelling. This work highlights that the combination of structural geology and gravity modelling can help to determine the structural architecture of an orogen and localize accumulations of evaporites at depth.

Abstract With the advancement of information and communication technology, geographic information systems (GIS) also grow. The existence of GIS allows problems to be solved as much as possible by paying attention to the surrounding space. GIS applications have been widely applied in everyday life including in the culinary field. The existence of GIS in the culinary field can make it easier to find location information where a restaurant is located and find out how the restaurant’s popularity index is. This research focuses on using NNA and KDA to analyze distribution patterns formed from each classification of restaurant popularity index in Bandung and the density of the restaurant point. Restaurant data containing restaurant names, restaurant addresses, restaurant types, food types, and restaurant popularity indexes were obtained from Zomato using Zomato’s Application Programming Interface (API). The result of this research are spatial distribution pattern of the high, medium, and low popularity restaurants in Bandung City showing the same characteristics, clustering and has a large density in several sub-districts.
