To analyze the causes of muscle soreness and injury during precompetition training in university sports meet and taking the DOMS mechanism as the main line to find a reasonable way to deal with the muscle pain and prevent the injury, 125 college students participating in stadium games training were randomly selected. The muscle pain and injury during the training were obtained through interviews, mathematical statistics, and literature review. The information of exercise load, pain and injury type, exercise ability, pain degree, and recovery time was comprehensively analyzed to study the mechanism of pain and injury formation. Muscle pain and injury occurred in precompetition training, especially in freshmen. After heavy load, muscle soreness occurred, causing DOMS and developing into muscle injury. Affected by the external climate environment, sudden muscle soreness and injury are a gradual transformation process with DOMS as the boundary, which is the comprehensive result of exercise load, water, energy, and material metabolism; control load intensity, water supplement, and energy and material supplement can effectively prevent the occurrence of DOMS, and timely recovery after DOMS symptoms can effectively avoid the occurrence of sports injury. According to the different intensity of exercise, it is of great significance to clarify the mechanism of DOMS and explore effective prevention methods for physical education and sports training.

BACKGROUND Due to the increased use of artificial turf, turf burn has become a common sports injury caused by exposed skin sliding on artificial turf. Health complications such as MRSA outbreaks, sepsis, and pneumonia have been linked to untreated turf burns, and many athletes have been turning to social media for advice and companionship regarding their sports injuries. OBJECTIVE The goal of the study is to categorize and quantitatively assess the percentage of turf burn posts on TikTok based on the creator, content, and the athlete’s experience. With this data, we not only investigate if there is room for health care professionals to assist in the distribution of evidence-based health education to athletes to counteract misinformation, but also investigate if there is a potential audience of athletes on TikTok who have the potential to develop problematic responses to their injuries. METHODS Using the Discover page on TikTok, we searched for the word “turf burn” on October 17, 2021. 100 videos were used. Videos were categorized and analyzed by the creator, content, and experience of the athlete. Likes and comments were recorded. RESULTS Most of the videos (98/100, 98.0%) were created by athletes while only a small fraction of videos (2/100, 2.0%) were created by health-care professionals. Content wise, most of the videos (67/100, 67.0%) displayed the turf burn. A small amount of videos (15/100, 15.0%) showed the incident when the turf burn was acquired while nearly a quarter of the videos (23/100, 23.0%) demonstrated treatment/prevention of turf burns. Out of 23 treatment/prevention videos, a minority of the videos (4/23, 17.4%) showed accurate treatment of turf burns while most of the videos (19/23, 82.6%) showed inaccurate treatment. The smallest amount of videos (2/100, 2.0%) were about education of turf burns. Most of the athlete videos (56/98, 57.1%) depicted negative experiences the patient had with turf burn. Some of the videos (37/98, 37.8%) depicted neutral experiences while the smallest amount (5/98, 5.1%) depicted positive experiences. CONCLUSIONS Our observational study suggests that there is a potential audience of athletes on TikTok who could develop problematic responses to their sports injuries such as turf burn, as most of the people who post videos are athletes and many of the posts demonstrate a negative experience associated with the turf burn. TikTok is a growing social media platform that should be studied to see if it can be used to create a social support group for injured athletes to prevent the progression of their negative emotional responses into problematic responses. Physicians should also have a role in establishing their social media presence on TikTok and offer evidence-based advice to athletes while disproving misinformation that is present on TikTok.

In this study, the inverse kinematics mathematics computer intelligent algorithm model is used to study the sports injuries of the elbow joint of adolescents. At the same time, we simulated the movement parameter changes during the rehabilitation training of the patient’s wrist and proposed a joint angular velocity function based on cubic fitting. Research has found that when the training scene changes greatly or the target task is changed, the smoothness of the elbow joint movement will change. The research conclusions of this article provide a theoretical basis for the selection of man-machine action points and the formulation of rehabilitation training methods. This article establishes the degree-of-freedom simulation model of the operating arm, which is the number of independent position variables in the operating arm, and these position variables determine the positions of all parts in the mechanism.

In this paper, we discuss the 3 types of concussion that occur in sports; brain concussion, spinal concussion (spinal cord neurapraxia), and labyrinthine (inner ear) concussion. Brain concussion data was collected from professional ice hockey players (Tohoku Free Blades, Japan) during 9 consecutive seasons. Spinal cord concussion and Labyrinthine concussion data was collected from athletes who sustained the injury in various sports including ice hockey. Material and methods The average incidence of brain concussion in professional ice hockey players was 2.0 per season. All 13 cases of spinal cord concussion were cervical cord concussion. Seven cases showed evidence of spinal cord compression; six cases had no radiological abnormality observed. All cases of labyrinthine concussion were sustained through a traumatic blow to the lateral aspect of the head. Results In any sports injury, all three of these concussions can co-exist and requires the team doctor to be at the site in order to fully assess the injury.

A career in professional sports depends on a number of factors related both directly to the athlete’s body and to the influence of external factors. Age, sport, health, personal trainer, training conditions, etc. – all this is important to achieve the result. However, the athlete’s constitutional features are significant and fundamental for achieving the result. These are not just morphological signs, but also a tendency to the occurrence of injuries and individual psychological characteristics as well as their correspondence to the functional capabilities of the athlete’s body. It is the individual mental characteristics that determine the type of response to the result of the competition (especially negative), the motivational aspect for achieving the result and recovering from injuries. This is important, since injuries are one of the primary problems of sports (regardless of the type), and the number of injuries and traumatological pathologies reaches 44% of the total number of nosologies. Aim. To substantiate the possibility and expediency of using integrative medicine methods in the rehabilitation treatment of sports injuries of the ankle joint. Material and methods. The research object was 38 male athletes involved in game sports, 18 – 26 years old with moderate ankle injuries, sports experience – 10 – 18 years, sports qualifications from the 1st category to the master of sports (MS). The patients were randomly divided into two groups. In the main group – 20 athletes – the rehabilitation schemes included: classical acupuncture, homotoxicology, hirudotherapy, post-isometric relaxation. To comfortably accompany the recovery process, a collegial model of the relationship between a doctor and an athlete was used. The control group consisted of 18 athletes with applied standard recovery rehabilitation scheme. Results and discussion. In athletes in both groups, the clinical manifestations of the disease were stopped at the same time (within6–8 days). Functional recovery of the injured joint in the main group was observed by the 16th day, in the control group – by the 22nd day. Athletes of the main observation group started competitive activity on average after 23 days, in the control group – after 28 days. Conclusion. The use of integrative medicine methods in athletes allowed to shorten the recovery period, reduce the dosage of painkillers, sedatives, anti-inflammatory drugs, accelerate the psychological adaptation of the athlete to the changed life situation and provide relief for injured athletes to undergo rehabilitation treatment, practically preserving overall physical performance.

The aim of this study was to study the clinical efficacy and prognostic factors after revision and reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament. All the patients who underwent the first revision of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction in the department of sports medicine from January 2001 to December 2015 were collected. The demographic information, the first revision and reconstruction information of ACL, and the information during the first ACL reconstruction were collected. A total of 335 cases were included. Lysholm score, Tegner activity score, and IKDC subjective score at the last follow-up were significantly higher than those before operation. Compared with graft failure caused by sports injury, the postoperative scores of patients with revision due to life accidents or initial reconstruction techniques were significantly lower ( P < 0.05 ). The postoperative Lysholm score of patients with femoral canal drilling through the tibial canal was lower than that of patients with anterior internal approach. The postoperative IKDC score of patients who underwent medial meniscus suture at the same time was higher than that of patients without meniscus combined injury. ACL revision can improve the stability and function of knee joint. Compared with the revision caused by life accident or technical reasons of primary reconstruction surgery, the patients with graft failure caused by sports injury have better postoperative recovery. Medial meniscus suture and anterior internal approach drilling of the femoral bone canal have a statistically protective effect on the clinical function after ACL revision.

Because of the intense competition, table tennis requires players to bear a strong physiological load, which increases the risk of sports injury. Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is an important structure of the knee joint to maintain forward stability and rotational stability and is also a common sports injury in table tennis players. ACL has poor self-repair ability after injury. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide a more comprehensive, reliable, and representative theoretical basis for the diagnosis and rehabilitation of anterior cruciate ligament injury in table tennis players, and three-dimensional reconstruction of ACL using dual-source computed tomography (DSCT) combined with deep learning was conducted. For this purpose, a number of table tennis players with ACL injuries were collected, and each patient underwent arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. DSCT scanning was performed on several knee joints, the 3D model of the knee joint was reconstructed using a CT image postprocessing workstation, and the medial wall of the femoral lateral condyle was reconstructed, as well as the reconstructed single tract of bony canal, tibial plateau, and bony canal. Then, the Lysholm score was used to score the cases, with scores greater than 75 as the excellent group and below 75 as the poor group. The relative positions of the central points of the femoral and tibial canals were marked and measured. The results were as follows: 3D-CT reconstruction could clearly reflect the situation after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. In clinic, it is used to evaluate the relationship between bone tunnel location and graft shape so as to guide the surgeon to improve the operation.
