Purpose Corruption is a global phenomenon. The 2016 Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Report and the 2019 Malaysia National Anti-Corruption Plan (NACP) Report stated that the government sector most prone to corruption is procurement. The purpose of this study is to explore what drives the government procurement practitioners to commit corruption or uphold integrity. The novelty of this research is it focusses on the human aspect based on a human model which comprises both the physical and non-physical dimensions. It incorporated four theories which are the virtue theory, transaction cost theory (TCT), human governance (HG) philosophy and Al-Ghazali theory of the soul to design the research framework. Design/methodology/approach This approach to counteract corruption is through the inner “Self” (spirituality) and is not limited or bound to processes, procedures, rules, regulations, systems and structures. Findings The findings obtained through the phenomenological method suggest that the Inciting Soul is the driver behind corruption. This happens when intellect (‘Aql) becomes submissive to appetition (Shahwa) and self-assertion (Ghadab) resulting in vice characters. In upholding integrity, Soul-at-Peace is the driver where intellect dominates appetition and self-assertion leading to virtue characters. The HG philosophy is what encapsulates the taxonomy of virtue character. Research limitations/implications This research concentrates only on understanding why corruption happens among those with authority. Nevertheless, this research did not delve into the inculcation of HG. Therefore, the authors would suggest for future research is to explore techniques to inculcate the ability of an individual to exercise all the necessary inner “Self” functions (to curb corruption) without having intervention from an external authority. Practical implications Corruption is a global phenomenon. The 2016 OECD Report and the 2019 Malaysia NACP Report found that procurement is the government sector most prone to corruption. Originality/value The novelty of this research is its focus on the human aspect based on the model of a human comprising both the physical and non-physical dimensions. The theoretical framework integrates the virtue theory, TCT, HG philosophy and Al-Ghazali theory of the Soul.

Mistakes occur frequently in mathematics. Reframing mistakes into positive moments can be psychologically important in a student’s educational journey. We investigated two tertiary math classes that explicitly valued mistakes through a pedagogical requirement called “productive failure”. For a percentage of their grade, students demonstrated how they made mistakes in their problem solving and, most importantly, how they overcame those mistakes. Through interviews, video-stimulated recalls, and evaluations of the course all from students, we initially looked for affectual responses to the pedagogical allowance and student-led demonstration. Many of the responses, both benefits and drawbacks of the productive failure, were interpreted by the research group to resemble the psychology literature on peer-led support groups. Descriptions of both productive failure and support groups, as well as quotes from the students, aim to shed light on psychological benefits of valuing mistakes. Finally, we believe that productive failures benefitted many students because it made the human aspect of mathematics more explicit.

Who should be the great educators and masters of Argentinian Rheumatology? One would think they should be the best ones! But are they the best ones? What ought to be the selection criteria for such a distinguished and honourable position? Our society demands: “All of those who have turned 65 years old and who, thanks to their academic work, have trained young rheumatologists”. How the latter were trained... do we know? As mere technicians or as humane professionals? The academic training of a pupil of Rheumatology, as in this case, must be comprehensive. Not only the technical but also the human aspect is of the utmost importance. An educator converses, is true to an ideal, gives up/sacrifices enrichment and reveals their weak points.

The Covid-19 pandemic concequences in all of human aspect. Education is one of the main aspect that have to adapt from classical learning into virtual model. This condition that already happens at least 2 years bring various responses from both teachers and learners’ perspectives. This study reveals teachers and learner’s construction regarding education post Covid-19 pandemic. This reseacrh is qualitative by descriptive method. Furthermore, this study was conducted by distributing online questionnaires from 5 provinces respondents in Indonesia involving 40 teachers and 28 learners. The results of this study show that commonly, teacher get lack of technology and prefer to implement blended learning than pure vifrtual learning. From the students side, can be found that; e-learning has not fully accommodated some educational values that can transmitted through classical learning process only and blended learning is the suitable learning model for future education. Furthermore, this study recomend to identify the suitable blended learning model for sustainability of future education in every level education.

This research discussed our experienced on building a machine learning model on the human aspect of information security awareness. The model was built through a classification and clustering approach using a broad outline process including importing data, handling incomplete data, compiling datasets, feature scaling, building models, and evaluating models. The dataset was arranged based on the results of a questionnaire referred to as the the Human Aspects of Information Security Questionnaire (HAIS-Q) to Indonesian society. The results of the classification model were evaluated by several methods, including k-fold Cross Validation analysis, Confusion Matrix, Receiver Operating Characteristics, and score calculation for each model. One of the algorithms in the classification used is the Support Vector Machine that has an accuracy performance of 99.7% and an error rate of 0.3%. One of the algorithms in clustering is the DBSCAN which has an adjusted rand index value of always close to 0.

AbstractVerifyThis is a series of program verification competitions that emphasize the human aspect: participants tackle the verification of detailed behavioral properties—something that lies beyond the capabilities of fully automatic verification and requires instead human expertise to suitably encode programs, specifications, and invariants. This paper describes the 8th edition of VerifyThis, which took place at ETAPS 2019 in Prague. Thirteen teams entered the competition, which consisted of three verification challenges and spanned 2 days of work. This report analyzes how the participating teams fared on these challenges, reflects on what makes a verification challenge more or less suitable for the typical VerifyThis participants, and outlines the difficulties of comparing the work of teams using wildly different verification approaches in a competition focused on the human aspect.

Objective: We aimed to determine how physiotheraphy students percieve cadavers and what kind of approach they have adopted for use cadavers and how cadavers education have changed their feelings and emotions in anatomy education. Methods: Data form that consist twelve expression was used for determing of students’ perception about cadavers. Fifty students (100 forms) were participated in research. In the data form prepared, 12 questions were included in order to determine the approach of the students, while an expression question was included to determine the emotional question at the first encounter with the cadaver. Results: Most of participants have adopted expression before the cadaver education was “Dead human bodies shown in public areas without educational purposes affect cadaver donation adversely.” (4.52±0.79). While they have adopted after the cadavers education was “Human is valuable asset. Therefore, while person was both alive or after death, value and respect must be given to the human body.” (4.60±0.93). When the quastionaire data (before and after) were compared, statistically significant differences were found in expression of “Dead human bodies shown in public areas without educational purposes affect cadaver donation adversely” (p=0.037) and “3D modeling or working on the human models is more useful than studying on cadavers in anatomy education” (p=0.005). It was observed that the number of participations was decreased for the first expression and in contrast with increased for the second expression. Conclusion: Physiotheraphy students regard to cadavers for in terms of human aspect and value and attribute to him/her aspecial value in terms of contribute to education. Students who were studying on cadavers in anatomy education tend to see cadaver as an education a material. We thought that these results could be help to shape and improve the anatomy education.
