<p><strong>Abstract</strong>: This study aimed to find out the usage of coherence and cohesion on the Students’ Descriptive Texts, especially in ten grader students at state senior high school in Cirebon. This study adopted thematic progression analysis to explore coherence in the students’ Descriptive text. This study was a qualitative study that used content analysis. The technique of collecting data was documentation from 46 students writing descriptive texts. The procedures were firstly collecting data, analyzing data, presenting data, and concluding the result of the study. Based on the analyzed data,1) 46 students’ writing descriptive text had grown the writing as the series of the stage in the descriptive text, using Identification and Description. Then, in analyzing coherence 2) 76% students got the coherence level is good, there are 19% in Fair, there are 2% in Less and 3% in Poor and in analyzing cohesion 3) there are 1052 cohesion markers that consist of 852 findings markers of grammatical cohesion (596 findings markers reference and 256 markers conjunction) and 200 markers of lexical cohesion (200 markers repetition).<br /><strong>Keywords</strong>: series of stage, coherence, cohesion</p>

<p class="Normal1"><strong>Abstract: </strong>This study was to know the teaching model and vocabulary mastery by students at state vocational high schools in Tangerang Regency when writing. The research methodology used is the experimental method. The population in this research was all of the 10<sup>th</sup>-grade students, with 680 students. The research findings are: 1) There is a significant effect of teaching model towards students writing achievement at State Vocational High School in Tangerang Regency. That is proved by sig value  = 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and Faccount = 29.298. 2) There is a significant effect of vocabulary mastery towards students writing achievement at State Vocational High School Tangerang Regency. That is proved by sig value = 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and Faccount = 17.945. 3) There are no significant interactive effects of teaching model and vocabulary mastery towards students writing achievement at State Vocational High School Tangerang Regency. That is proved by sig value = 0.041 &lt; 0.05 and Faccount = 4.486.</p><p><strong>Keywords: </strong>Teaching model; vocabulary mastery; writing achievement.</p><p class="normal"> </p>

<p><strong>Abstract</strong>: The title of this thesis is “Gender Inequality and Moral Value in “Wonder Woman” by Patty Jenkins”. The study was conducted in August 2019. The objective of  this research paper was to found out the gender inequality and moral value of this movie. The research method was the qualitative. The instrument of this research were covered the list of the question designed based on the elements of the movie. The data was collected by watching the movie and reading the script movie,  identifying, classifying, and analyzing based on gender inequality and moral value. 1). The result of this research showed the Gender Inequality has highest percentage of the Gender Equality. The draw of Gender conclusion that the Gender Inequality is 33,45% and Gender Equality is 21,00%. 2). The moral value are justice 17,41%, honesty 33,45%, bravery 17,10%, responsibility 30,89%, and beneficence 31,11%. The beneficial input of analyzing the movie is that movie can be used as the advice for teacher of English can make students have positive character.</p><p> </p><p>Keywords: Gender Inequality; Moral Value; Movie</p>

<p><strong>Abstract</strong>: This research aims to analyze the educational value and teaching strategy in the “Freedom Writer” film by Richard Lagravenese. Based on the theories of educational value and teaching strategies, there are four primary points to analyze: 1) How is Educational Value in ‘Freedom Writer Film’ by Richard Lagravenese? 2) What are the Teaching Strategies in ‘Freedom Writer Film’ by Richard Lagravenese? 3) There are eleven kinds of educational value that appear in “Freedom Writer” by Richard Lagravenese based on Linda, they are honesty, courage, peace-ability, self-reliance and potential, self-discipline and moderation, loyalty and dependability, respect, unselfishness, and sensitivity, kindness &amp; friendliness, justice and mercy, and love. 4) There are five kinds of teaching strategies that appear in Richard Lagravenese based on Brown; they are content-based instruction, theme-based instruction, experiential learning, episode hypothesis, and task-based teaching.<br /><strong>Keywords</strong>: educational value, teaching strategy, film.</p>

<p><strong>Abstract</strong>: The paper aims to analyze the problem as follows: 1) how the characters in the film and 2) how the moral values contained in Roland Emmerich’s film The Patriot. The research method used is qualitative, with primary data sources taken from the film and secondary literature outside of the film. The data collection technique used is the documentation of Creswell. Documentation is a method used in scientific research to collect data using documents or lists of evidence and data analysis techniques used based on the Moleong theory. The character theory used is Russell’s theory, while for moral values in the film, the writer uses Setyosih’s theory. The results showed that; as; 1) the characters are divided into three, namely dominating characters are the protagonist (48%), antagonist (28%), and foil (24%). 2) moral values are divided into 6, namely; tolerance (13%), fairness (9.09%), trust (18.18%), kindness (32.81%), honesty (4.54%), and responsibility (22.72%). <p><strong>Abstract</strong>: The purpose of the research is to demonstrate the moral values and characters in the novel “Ready Player One” by Ernest Cline. This research is designed as qualitative research. The approach that the writer used is the qualitative approach. The data are collected by analyzing the data found in the novel. The analysis of the novel is observed in the text and dialogues. The results of the research are in the form of moral values and characters analysis. 1) The moral values in the novel are: Justice is 34,62%, honesty is 26,92%, responsibility is 23,08%, and beneficence is 15,38%. 2) The characters which emerge in the novel “Ready Player One” Protagonist are 55,86%, Foil is 37,93%, and the antagonist is 6,21%. Moral values that dominate, or the novel would like to convey particularly to the readers, are Justice and Honesty. It means that the character who dominates the film is the protagonist.<br /><strong>Keywords</strong>: moral; value; moral value; character; novel</p>

<p><strong>Abstract</strong>: The purpose of the research is to find out: 1) the moral values contained in the true story of Greg Mortenson. 2) Educational values provided by Greg Mortenson. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a structural approach. The study results are: 1) The moral values in the novel Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin are caring 26.9%, friendly 15.4%, helpful 11.5%, brave 11.5%, hardworking 19.2%, and optimistic 15.4%. The most moral value in the data is caring with 7 data or 26.9%. 2) The educational values contained in the novel Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin are attitudes toward the world of education amounting to 28.6% and the struggle to establish schools 71.4%. The most data found in the struggle to establish schools amounted to 71.4%.<br /><strong>Keywords</strong>: moral values, educational values, content analysis</p>

<p>This research is aimed at knowing the effect of intelligence quotient and critical thinking ability towards students’ speaking skill. The research methodology is quantitative research design with the use of a survey with multi-correlation technique using some samples from a number of population and using a test used for data collection. The number of the samples is two classes from two government colleges in Bogor, West Java. The result of the research shows that; 1). There is a significant effect of intelligence quotient and critical thinking ability towards students’ speaking skill at Government College in Bogor that was proven by the value of Sig. 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and Fobserved = 130.848. Both independent variables had given a contribution of 84.8% to the students’ speaking skill. 2). There is significant effect of intelligence quotient towards students’ speaking skill at Government College in Bogor that was proven by the value of Sig. 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and Tobserved = 4.884. 3). There is a significant effect of the critical thinking ability towards students’ speaking skill at Government College in Bogor that was proven by the value of Sig. 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and Tobserved = 4.382.</p><p><strong>Key Words: </strong>Intelligence Quotient; Critical Thinking; Speaking Skill.</p>

<p><strong>Abstract: </strong><em>This study aims to determine: 1) The effect of preposition and grammar mastery on students writing descriptive text. 2) The Effect of the preposition on students writing descriptive text.  3) The Effect of vocabulary mastery on students writing descriptive text.  The Affordable population is class X of 1 Vocational School Rancaekek, Vocational School Majalayal. The sample of the research is 75 respondents in this study. The method of this current research used surveys. Inference analyses used are random and multiple linear regression. The results of the study show: 1) There is a significant effect of preposition and vocabulary mastery on student writing descriptive text; this is evidenced by the acquisition of Sig. = 0,000 &lt;0,05 and F observe = 9,266; 2) there is a significant effect of the preposition on student writing descriptive text. This is evidenced by the acquisition of Sig. = 0,011&lt;0,05 and T observe = -2,614.3. 3) There is a significant effect of vocabulary mastery on students writing descriptive text; this is evidenced by the acquisition of Sig. 0,003&lt;0,05 and T observe = 3,058.</em></p><p><strong>Keywords: </strong><em>preposition, vocabulary mastery, descriptive text</em> <strong></strong></p>
