Abstract Research shows that emotions play an important role in successful aging. However, less is known about how day-to-day fluctuations and multi-year changes in positive and negative emotions are implicated in adaptive development. Thus, the present studies address the developmental antecedents and outcomes of micro- and macro-longitudinal changes in different positive and negative emotions. Blöchl, Oertzen, and Kunzmann use 12-year data from the Health and Retirement Study to examine whether socioeconomic resources influence trajectories of positive emotion and physical functioning and their interrelations. Hamm, Wrosch, Barlow, and Kunzmann investigate psychosocial and health-related resources that predict two-year stability and change in adaptive and maladaptive daily patterns of calmness, excitement, sadness, and anger. Pauly et al. examine the extent to which health status moderates the association between daily fluctuations in seven affective states and corresponding changes in stress-related cortisol secretion. Turner, Mogle, Hill, Bhargava, and Rabin study how positive and negative emotions experienced in response to daily challenges (memory lapses) mediate the association between age-related challenges and life satisfaction in a coordinated analysis of two datasets. Finally, Barlow addresses the extent to which variations in daily experiences of positive and negative emotions exhibit age-differential associations with daily satisfaction with life (i.e., emotion globalizing). This symposium thus integrates new research on emotional aging and contributes to a deeper understanding of how adaptive development shapes and is shaped by day-to-day fluctuations and long-term changes in different emotions.

The article indicates the importance of a synergistic approach to the development and adaptation of the management system of high-tech enterprises. Development is inextricably linked with the adaptation processes taking place at the enterprise. It is adaptation that determines the vectors of development. The synergistic approach leads to the emergence of the category of "adaptive development", which in relation to the management system of high-tech enterprises involves the transition of the management system to more modern methods and management tools based on digitalization. The cyclical foundations of the adaptive development of the management system are revealed, which determine that under the influence of economic laws, enterprises regularly need to change and improve their internal parameters, finding an opportunity to prolong periods of growth. In such conditions, the key role is assigned to the highest level of enterprise management, performing managerial functions. The essence of adaptive development is considered from the standpoint of the process approach, since it is the process approach that fully reflects the essence of this category. Adaptive development is a process of transformations in the control system, based on the transition of the system from one qualitative state to another based on the identified contradictions in the external environment and a long-term program for building internal potential. In the process of adaptive development, a specific response should be developed based on the use of a multidimensional model of comparison and selection of the most effective option. It is emphasized that one of the most important conditions for the implementation of the adaptive development process is information support, as the basis for making adequate management decisions.

This study examined the effects of a 12-week floor hockey training program on the motor proficiency, physical fitness, and adaptive development of youths with mild intellectual disabilities (IDs). A total of 54 youths with IDs were divided into two groups: a floor hockey exercise group (EG; n = 27; age, 16.59 ± 0.56 years) and a control group (CG; n = 27; age, 16.65 ± 0.63 years). The participants in the EG attended sessions of a floor hockey training program 3 times per week over a 12-week period. The CG group maintained their standard activities of daily living. The participants’ scores on the Bruininks–Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Second Edition, Brockport Physical Fitness Test, and traditional Chinese version of the teacher form of the Adaptive Behavior Assessment System, Second Edition, were obtained before and after the intervention. The results of the study indicate that the 12-week floor hockey training program significantly increased the participants’ scores for most indicators of motor proficiency (p < 0.01), physical fitness (p < 0.01), and adaptive development (p < 0.01). The findings provide evidence that physical activity interventions focusing on floor hockey training are a viable therapeutic option for treating youths with IDs.

This paper aims to improve the effectiveness of the DESTE adaptive development, considering both intramural and regional educational needs and trends of the rapidly changing digital world. Empirical and analytical research methods were used. Analysis and synthesis of domestic and foreign researches in the field of creating educational ecosystems in the conditions of digitalization in education were performed. The results form the basis of an adaptive approach to create the DESTE and investigate its effectiveness in improving the quality of learning, which was performed using regression analysis. The paper substantiates the necessity and timeliness of creating the DESTE as a condition for accelerating intramural and cooperative (together with partners) innovative educational developments for their further transfer. The key features of DESTE and its significance for the training of digital education specialists were identified. A local digital ecosystem to study the "Information and Communication Technologies" subject was developed as a part of the university DESTE.

Network Intrusion detection and prevention Systems (NIDPS) are employed in monitoring a network which safeguards user integrity, privacy thereby ensuring the data security and availability in a network. Such systems not only monitor the suspicious activities in a network but also used as control systems to eliminate the malicious users from the network. In this paper, a Hybrid Adaptive Development Algorithm and Machine Learning Algorithm (ADA-MLA) method is proposed to identify the malicious activities and eliminating them from the network. The deployment of honeypot-based intrusion is improved adaptive development algorithm. Machine learning algorithm has been employed in the Hybrid IDPS for learning the network data patterns which also identifies the maximum probable attacks in the network. The signatures for the DARPA 99 data set have been updated during the implementation of intrusion prevention system on a real-time basis. The hybrid method works on (i) classifying the attacks based on protocols and (ii) classifying the attacks on pre-determined threshold values. Hence, both known and unknown attacks can be easily captured in the proposed hybrid IDPS method which thereby achieves higher attack detection and prevention accuracy while compared to the conventional attack detection and prevention methodologies.

Preschool offers numerous opportunities for teaching cognitive, social, emotional, and language skills. This is particularly important for children with developmental delay (DD), who often struggle with cognitive, physical, communication, social/emotional, and adaptive development. Prompting using verbal, gestural, and physical guidance has been widely used to teach new behaviors or skills. Given the importance of early childhood education, this systematic review examined the effect of prompting in the acquisition of new skills for preschoolers with DD. Fourteen studies using single-subject research design across nine journals served as the basis of this review. Participants' demographics, experimental design, target skills, types of prompting, independent and dependent variables, degree to which the prompting was effective, pairing, and number of prompts used in an intervention were extracted from each study and analyzed. The findings revealed the importance of prompting, and its various forms, for children with DD to support their strengths and enhance targeted skills as needed.

Modern economic conditions dictate increasingly stringent conditions for the functioning of subjects (participants) in the market, which are primarily related to the globalization of the economy, the introduction of digital norms of business processes, increasing competition in all spheres of socio-economic life and the corona-crisis. That is why there are questions of adaptation of economic entities to certain changes and the development of their skills in a rather difficult economic environment and under the influence of external factors that sometimes are even impossible to measure. Further changes in the external environment and the place of economic entities of the regional economic system in them, we think that it necessary to consider from the standpoint of their adaptive development in the context of digitalization, which became the purpose of this scientific article. This purpose allowed to form the following tasks: to explore the essence of adaptive development; to determine approaches to the adaptive development of economic entities of the regional economic system, namely: system-complex, process-effective, flood-psychological; to introduce the structure of adaptive development of economic entities of the regional economic system from the standpoint of a synergetic approach; to improve the conceptual and categorical apparatus of regional economy, by introducing the concept of "adaptive development of economic entities of the regional economic system" (which, in this study we will understand the continuous process of transformation in the management system of economic entities, which is based on the transition of the system from one qualitative state to another under the conditions of established contradictions of the external environment and long-term (strategic) program of formation and increase of internal potential for the purpose of increase of efficiency of functioning of subjects of managing of regional economic system); consider qualitative changes in the implementation of the digital transformation of the regional economy. So, the adaptive development of the management system of economic entities of the regional economic system according to the environmental influences in the context of digitalization is a rather complex and multifaceted process that requires organizational changes within the management system and coordinated action by staff and management. Furthermore adaptive development requires the new competencies by staff, which makes it possible to move to a deeper immersion in the information and communication space through digital transformations.
