Academic mobility, given its importance in the dissemination of knowledge and globalization of research collaboration, has received growing attention over the past decades. Based on a bibliometric analysis of the literature on academic mobility (119) from 343 journal articles in Web of Science over the period of 2010 to 2020 with the use of CiteSpace, this paper outlines the research intellectual map, such as the most active contemporary institutions, journals, and popular regions/countries; dissects the network of categories and summarizes the emerging trends and future research opportunities for academic mobility. The results of the study are: (1) England is the most productive region followed by China and Netherlands in terms of publication; (2) Utrecht University, The Polytechnic University of Valencia, and Russian Academy of Science are the most productive institutions; (3) The publications are mainly in the subject categories of Education, Business and Economics, and Geography; (4) Gender, scientific practice, brain drain are the main keywords for discussion; and (5) Louise Ackers is the most influential author in this field and International Migration Journal is the most frequently cited journal over the past decade. Our paper contributes to the relevant body of literature by systematizing the literature on academic mobilities through CiteSpace, a visualized analytical tool for undertaking bibliometric analysis, providing valuable references for researchers and practitioners who want to further explore this knowledge area.

The Cybersecurity Curricular Guidelines, a joint effort of the ACM, IEEE Computer Society, AIS SIGSAC, and IFIP WG 11.8, were created to provide developers of cybersecurity curricula with guidelines for material to include. The curricular guidelines have eight knowledge areas, broken down into knowledge units and topics. Underlying cross-cutting concepts provide linkages among the knowledge areas. Disciplinary lenses enable the developer to emphasize the knowledge units appropriate to the goals of the developed curricula. Each knowledge area also includes a list of essential concepts that all curricula should cover to an appropriate depth. The guidelines can be linked to workforce frameworks and certification criteria as well as academic curricula.

Immunology is a knowledge area of paramount importance in life sciences and health care professional education with diverse applications, as well as for a general public understanding of issues related to vaccination. However, many concepts are complex and difficult to be understood based only on conventional classes or static images. The use of tools, such as educational software, may enhance the learning of dynamic molecular phenomena that occur in our bodies. Virtual Immunology is a software that aims to facilitate the learning of certain complex immunology concepts. Herein, we present the "antigen-antibody interactions" module that was used and evaluated by 127 students and three teachers from medical schools from two universities, one public and one private, both in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The pre-test/post-test research design was used to assess student learning in a randomized sample. To evaluate user perceptions concerning software quality, 14 statements were analyzed using a Likert scale. Results indicate suitable evaluations from both students and teachers concerning the "antigen-antibody module" as an auxiliary tool in immunology teaching. The software was well rated an educational resource since it allows dynamically viewing immunological phenomena. In addition, its ease of use and immunological process visualization were the best-evaluated parameters by the students, which recommended this software module as an auxiliary learning tool. The use of the evaluated software may motivate students and aid in the understanding of immunology-related concepts, becoming a complementary tool that may enhance the teaching-learning process.

Abstract Ornamental fish farming is an intensively developing area in aquaculture. A significant volume of contraband products and the lack of sanitary and quarantine measures is an important problem associated with the development of this knowledge area. The article is devoted to the problem of timely detection and diagnosis of flexibacteriosis of carp, affecting one of the most popular and expensive objects of ornamental fish farming, koi carp. The main causes of fish diseases are natural outbreaks of infections and infection with pathogens from water sources, as well as violations of the rules of transportation and quarantine of imported fish. Timely and constant veterinary control makes it possible to assess the epizootic situation for fish diseases, the degree of pollution of the fishery reservoir and make recommendations for optimizing preventive measures that ensure the epizootic well-being of the fishery reservoir in the conditions of integrated technology. The cultivation of koi by amateurs in private ponds, aquariums poses a danger of introducing infections into other reservoirs, including natural ones, as well as regions where the outbreak has never been recorded. The main task is the prevention of diseases, which can be ensured by monitoring the water quality of the water supply source, as well as the use of a complex of veterinary and sanitary measures, including veterinary control over the transportation of fish, preventive quarantine of imported material and quarantine in dysfunctional farms, preventive disinfection and disinfection of structures, inventory, pond beds; regular ichthyopathological examination of the farm; preventive antiparasitic treatment of fish.

Actor-network theory represents a way to look at things, very different from traditional approaches. Convinced that actor-networks can provide an excellent mindset to deal with innovation in engineering education we present a concise background on the topic oriented to this knowledge area. We deal with knowledge, learning, contexts, and actor networking within situated cooperative environments. We deal with the articulation of planned approaches and policies, providing ideas to explore contexts in which we can improve people’s involvement and design some innovative strategies and artifacts. We address the conciliation of sensibilities that normally wouldn’t be able to cooperate. We try to imagine a space of translations and negotiations that facilitate the formulation of problems as a combination of detours and extensions, constructing alignments to a goal

Abstract This paper describes the tools for supporting researchers in the development of a parallel code. The tools are based on the ontology of the knowledge area “Support for solving compute-intensive problems of mathematical physics on supercomputers”. The main result of these tools operation is a scheme for solving the problem, built according to its specification provided by the user. The scheme includes the most suitable mathematical models for solving the problem, numerical methods, algorithms, and parallel architectures, links to available fragments of a parallel code that the user can use when developing his own code. The scheme construction is carried out on the basis of ontology and expert rules built using the Semantic Web technology.

PurposeHalal and Islamic tourism is gaining attention in the tourism literature in recent years. This study uses bibliometric analytical techniques to explore all the publications indexed in the Scopus database in the broad subject of Halal and Islamic tourism from 2004 to 2021.Design/methodology/approachThe authors found 238 publications that fit the function, subject and set criteria. The papers were analysed in terms of publication by knowledge area, number of studies published every year, contribution by countries, number of authors and most influential journals. VOS viewer was used to perform a visual analysis on co-occurrence of keywords and document citations.FindingsAccording to the findings, the Scopus database includes 151 (34.40%) documents on business, management and accounting, and 89 (20.27%) documents on social science. It was reported that 29 documents were published in 2018, followed by 54 documents in 2019 and 56 documents in 2021. Malaysia has contributed 86 documents on Islamic tourism, whereas Indonesia has contributed 64 documents. The paper also discusses other interesting findings.Research limitations/implicationsThe bibliometric analysis carried out was confined to Scopus data. Other national and international databases were not taken into account for this research.Originality/valueBetween 2004 and 2021, this study examined relevant studies on Halal and Islamic tourism. The study presents a concise review of the literature accessible to researchers working in this area and provides recommendations for future research.

This article shows the application of an ethnographical method (lexical availability method) and diverse strategies for lexical documentation (documentation of terminology in gray literature and other published documents) to the compilation and validation of the terminology of folk-art in Mexico, a knowledge area with scarcely written tradition. As one can foresee, the result obtained from the lexicon through the different methods and strategies of documentation applied allows registering several terminological lists. From these lists and by determining the intersection of two or more lexical sets, principle obtained from the set theory, one can obtain a group that contains the most frequent elements or the common terminology of a domain. In addition to the above, the article explains how a facets system for the basic organization of this terminology can be created from the lexical documentation obtained.

Software engineering is a complicated subject for computer engineering students since the explained knowledge and necessary competencies are more related to engineering as a general knowledge area than to computer science. This article describes a software engineering learning application that aims to provide a solution to this problem. Two ideas are used for this. On the one hand, to facilitate its use it has been implemented as an Android app (in this way it can be used anywhere and at any time). In addition, and on the other hand, a gamification system has been implemented with different learning paths that adapt to the learning styles of each student. In this way, the student is motivated by competing with other classmates, and on the other hand, the application adapts to the way of learning that each one has.
