This study aims to determine the understanding of how to cultivate carp and ornamental fish with tarpaulin pond media, to determine marketing strategies for gouramy and ornamental fish, to determine the sales of gouramy and ornamental fish, and to know how to apply a management information system to carp cultivation. and ornamental fish. Cultivation of gouramy and ornamental fish is a business that is considered to have a fairly large level of profit. By using the right cultivation system, starting from capital, making ponds and stocking capacity, determining seeds, maintenance, determining selling prices, and harvesting times, the results will be maximized. The focus of this research is, How is the application of management information systems to SMEs in the cultivation of gouramy and ornamental fish in Sambirobyong village. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. This data collection technique is done by interviewing the informants in the field. And the research results obtained are the process of making ponds with tarpaulin media is an effective and efficient way compared to concrete or cast pools, the provision of water and seeds is adjusted to the width of the pool, marketing and sales strategies are also good, namely by using a website management information system.

Abstract The present study objectified to evaluate the trophic relationships and the possible aggressive mimicry involving Carnegiella strigata, Carnegiella marthae and Gnathocharax steindachneri, in lowland forest streams. Samplings occurred in November 2002, March and August 2003 in Amanã Sustainable Development Reserve (ASDR). The total of 943 fish was caught, being 79.43% of C. marthae, 3.18% of C. strigata and 17.39% of G. steindachneri. Stomach contents, degree of stomach repletion, relative volume and frequency of occurrence of food items were evaluated. Thirteen food items were identified, and the presence of terrestrial and aquatic insects indicates the high dependence of these species and the flooded forest. Low feeding overlap was observed between Carnegiella strigata and C. marthae compared to Gnathocharax steindachneri. However, the overlap between the two Carnegiella species was relatively high, which could explain the low frequency of syntopic occurrence among these species, suggesting a possible case of competitive exclusion.

Ikan koi di Indonesia merupakan ikan hias favorit dan banyak digemari masyarakat luas karena tubuhnya yang mempesona dan harganya relatif tidak terlalu mahal. Ikan koi sekarang ini masih menjadi salah satu komoditas perdagangan yang cukup baik dalam bidang perikanan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh  Ekstrak Kasar Buah Pala Myristica Argentea  Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ikan Koi Cyprinus Caprio. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) ,dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan yaitu perlakuan A (Dosis 5% ekstrak kasar  buah pala), perlakuan B (Dosis 10% ekstrak kasar buah pala), perlakuan C (Dosis 15% ekstrak kasar buah pala) dan perlakuan D (   Dosis 0 % ekstrak kasar buah pala). Parameter uji berupa lajui pertumhuhan bobot dan pertumbuhan panjang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak Kasar Daging Buah Pala myristica argentea memberikan pengaruh yang baik terhadap pertumbuhan ikan ko setelah diberikan perlakuan.. Dosis yang baik untuk pertumbuhan berat dan panjang ikan koi ialah dosis  10% - 5%. Koi fish in Indonesia is a favorite ornamental fish and much-loved by the wider community because of its charming body and relatively inexpensive price. Koi fish is still one of the trade commodities that is quite good in the field of fisheries. The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Crude Extract of Nutmeg Myristica Argentea on the Growth of Cyprinus Caprio Koi Fish. The research method used was a completely randomized design (CRD), with four treatments and three replications, namely treatment A (5% dose of nutmeg crude extract), treatment B (10% dose of nutmeg crude extract), treatment C (15% dose of nutmeg extract). crude nutmeg) and treatment D (Dose of 0% crude extract of nutmeg). Test parameters in the form of weight growth rate and length growth. The results showed that the crude extract of the Nutmeg myristica argentea had a good effect on the growth of koi fish after being given treatment. A good dose for the growth of weight and length of koi fish is a dose of 10% - 5%

Arunachal Pradesh is rich with networks of drainage systems with enormous wild fish diversity due to varied climatic and topographical features. Most of the streams harbour very alluring small indigenous minnows, loaches, catfishes and barbs that have hardly been exploited for the ornamental fish market. If these aquatic resources are sustainably utilised as a trade commodity, then the pattern of livelihood of the local populace may be uplifted economically. The present investigation was undertaken to establish the market potential of certain indigenous ornamental fishes of Arunachal Pradesh. The survey was conducted during 2019–2020 for 6 months (October–March) based on the feasibility of accessible collections. A total of 52 ornamental fish species under 6 orders and 15 families were documented and collected during the surveys in various streams and rivers. The collection showed that 4 species namely Balitora brucei Gray, 1830, Aborichthys kempi Chaudhuri, 1913, Schistura devdevi Hora, 1935, and Neolissochilus hexagonolepis (McClelland, 1839) were recorded under near threatened; Lepidocephalichthys arunachalensis (Datta & Barman, 1984) and Botia rostrata Günther, 1868, under endangered and vulnerable categories, respectively as per International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) status. The species documented exhibiting natural ornamental features herein considered an indigenous ornamental fish (IOF) for depicting their market demand showing the minimal price of each individual species towards the development of organised trade in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Banggai cardinalfish Pterapogon kauderni is the Indonesian national marine ornamental fish mascot, and an object of national and international conservation concern. The endemic population of this species is limited to the Banggai Archipelago in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia and a few nearby islands in North Maluku. In addition, introduced populations have become established, mainly along ornamental fish trade routes. The National Action Plan for Banggai Cardinalfish Conservation (NAP-BCFC) calls for monitoring and management of all P. kauderni populations. A survey of the Luwuk introduced P. kauderni population was carried out in October 2021.   Data were collected at three sites with established P. kauderni populations: the ferry harbour, public harbour (Teluk Lalong) and a recreational area on the nearby coast (Kilo 5). P. kauderni were recorded by microhabitat association and size class (recruits, juveniles, adults). Data collected were compared with data from previous surveys where available. With the exception of one group in a sea anemone at Kilo 5, all P. kauderni were associated with Diadema sea urchins (D. setosum at all sites; D. savignyi at Kilo 5). At Kilo 5 P. kauderni the population structure indicates the possible capture of market-sized juveniles. Overall abundance was also lower compared to the polluted but unfished harbours. The proportion of recruits was significantly negatively correlated with the ratio of adult P. kauderni to Diadema urchins. The results will inform regional legislation currently in preparation to support sustainable management of P. kauderni populations, habitat and microhabitat in Central Sulawesi, as well as contributing to NAP-BCFC targets.Keywords:Banggai cardinalfishEndangered speciesDiademaMicrohabitat,MonitoringOrnamental fisheryLocal regulation

Abstract We detected N. girellae infections in 40 species belonging to 12 families of imported marine ornamental fish from a public aquarium in the Mexican state of Yucatan in January 2018 to December 2020 and carried out their identification to the species level using morphological and molecular analyses. Monogeneans were corroborated morphologically and molecularly using a partial sequence of 28S (region D1–D3) ribosomal DNA and analyzed in a molecular phylogenetic context in combination with data derived from other species of N. girellae available in GenBank. The phylogenetic tree revealed that the specimen found consistently belonged to the N. girellae clade. High infection parameters were detected of N. girellae in the hosts. This identification is relevant to aquarists and aquaculturists in the Gulf of Mexico because N. girellae is considered highly pathogenic in confined fish. Clearly, this work demonstrates that the importation of ornamental fish, coupled with deficient sanitary measures (lack of quarantine areas in distribution centres) contributes to the introduction of parasites and their establishment and dispersal within Mexico.

Aims: Analyze the leading ornamental fish commodities in Bogor Regency and analyze the mapping of ornamental fish farming areas in Bogor Regency. Place and Duration of Study: Research conducted in Bogor Regency and was carried out from Desember 2020 – September 2021. Methodology: The method used was a literature study to determine the leading ornamental fish commodities in Bogor Regency and mapping of ornamental fish farming areas in Bogor Regency. After processing the data, the data is analyzed descriptively. Primary data was obtained from interviews with 1 key person at the Department of Fisheries and Livestock, Bogor Regency. Secondary data is obtained through reports from several documents including the Annual Report 2015 – 2019 from the Bogor Regency Fisheries and Livestock Service, Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) 2015 – 2019 Bogor Regency, Bogor Regency Medium Term Development Plan 2018-2023. Results: The results of this study indicate that the main ornamental fish commodities in Bogor Regency are oscars, corydoras, guppies, bettas, black ghosts, rainbows, manfish and goldfish. The leading areas for ornamental fish production in Bogor Regency are the Subdistrict of Kemang, Megamendung, Tenjolaya, Cibinong, Ciseeng, Nanggung, and Ciampea.

Abstract This study verified the effects of essential oils from Lippia sidoides (EOLS) and Cymbopogon citratus (EOCC) on the anesthesia of freshwater angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare) of two different sizes (juveniles I (0.82 g) and II (2.40 g)) and on the transport (8 h) of juveniles II. Fish were exposed to different concentrations of EOLS and EOCC: 0, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, and 250 mg L−1. Ventilatory rate (VR) and transport for 8 h with 0, 10, and 15 mg L−1 of each essential oil were evaluated in juveniles II. The major components found in EOLS and EOCC were carvacrol (44.50%) and a-citral (73.56%), respectively. The best sedation and anesthesia times for both essential oils were obtained with 10 and 25 mg L−1 and 200 and 250 mg L−1 for juveniles I and II, respectively. Fish sedated with EOLS had lower VR values than the other treatments. For transported fish, blood glucose levels were higher in ornamental fish transported with 10 and 15 mg EOLS L−1 and 15 mg EOCC L−1. Hepatic glycogen values were higher in the control group. In general, fish transported with 10 mg EOLS L−1 showed fewer gill histological alterations than other transported fish. When the type of lesion was evaluated, the highest gill alterations occurred in fish transported with EOCC. In conclusion, for the transport of juveniles II, 10 mg EOLS L−1 could be used because although this concentration increased blood glucose, it decreased the VR and caused only mild alterations to the gills.
