A quick glance at the second stanza of Nigeria national anthem attests to the fact that religion is valued by Nigeria. The whole stanza is a prayer to God to guide Nigeria into the right path and is sung intermittently with the first stanza which contains an appeal to all citizens to uphold the unity and sanctity of the nation. The second stanza of the national anthem implies that public practice of religion is not a problem as the stanza is publicly sung in both government and private organisations. This paper proceeds on the earlier works of scholars such as Mbiti1 and Idowu2 who assert that Africans are incurably religious. Nigeria national anthem is a pointer to this assertion. The paper adopts both historical and content analysis methods to gather and interpret data. We conclude that despite the fact that religion is held in high esteem in Nigeria, it is hard to see its positive effect on national development.

Contexts of youth protest potential in rap as a musical direction popular among modern youth are analysed in the article. Attempts of imposing of political identity «from above» does not meet requirements of the youth which seeks for self-realisation in the cultural sphere. Therefore, the article examines the socio-psychological phenomenon of such a youth public practice as rap culture, which has now become a brand of mass pop culture. On the basis of sociological data the author analyses social mood and topical problems of the Kazakhstani youth, designing its protest potential. Quite high percent of the young respondents concerned by violations of the legitimate social, civil and political rights is revealed. It is noted that the Z generation prefers non-political forms in a counterbalance a protest to means of cultural self-expression. In mass consciousness installation about rap as to «protest music» was approved. The historical and cultural retrospective of emergence and development of rap allowed the author to disprove the settled stereotype and to prove a position about rap as to music of success and active living position. Topicality and scientific novelty of the problem statement made it possible to show the importance of studying the protest behaviour of young people in the modern scientific space, highlighting its indicators and drawing a conclusion about the need for a psychological study of youth protest tendencies and pedagogic support of the socialisation process.

Based on the concepts of Huber’s centrality of religiosity as psychosocial resource, a non-experimental, moderated mediation project was designed in a group of 176 women and 84 men, who voluntarily participated in an online study, analysing the relationship between the prayer and the fears (for health, economy/finances, social life and family relations) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Multiple regression analysis was used to determine the general tendency in dependencies between variables. Among the assessed components of religiousness crucial for alleviating the fears of the COVID-19 pandemic, two forms of prayer—Private Practice and Public Practice—turned out to be the most important. Private Practice seemed to appease the fears of threats to family and social relationships of persons assessed, while Public Practice was revealed as the predictor of intensifying of the general, summed up level of fears. The areas of health (illness threat) and financial security fears were not associated neither with prayer nor any other components of religiousness. It means a selective predictive associating of prayer with the appeasing of only specific types of fears, namely those of a social nature. The results obtained point to the importance of the addressed topic in the context of searching for psycho resources in coping with difficult situations and determining their impact.

Application of synthetic chemical insectices is known to be the most effective approach in addressing infestation of insect pests. However, conventional insecticides are not appropriate to be applied against pests of stored food materials, such as peanut due to the residue issue. Method of fumigation which negate the residue issue is also not feasible for public practice due to the hazard potency. This consideration necessitates the exploration of safe insecticide material such as neem leaf and piper leaf using suitable method. Paper presented here is a literature review design to analyze related to the important pest of stored peanut, content and effication of neem and piper leaves, and the efficiency of muslin-cloth pad containing the botanicals. Based on the neem characteristics which is anteefedant and the characteristics of piper leaf which is volatile. It can be concluded that botanicals from these two species prepared in muslin-cloth pad, would be able to control pest of stored peanut.

The article examines the content of a person's right to dispose of his life (with emphasis on socio-political meanings) as a component of his right to life, including assumptions, probabilistic or unacceptable, about alternatives to the deployment of individual elements of this possibility (voluntary departure from life, the assumption of euthanasia, as well as options for the embodiment of the idea and the right to risk your life). The last one is analyzed both in a classical way (within the framework of activities objectively related to occupational risks and other activities with similar characteristics), and in an updated context due to the coronavirus pandemic. The author reflects on the socio-political, sociological and other aspects that have manifested or strengthened their presence in doctrine, public practice and public policy in connection with the current emergency situation, illustrates them with specific examples, examines and criticizes individual decisions on this issue, especially in relation to the elderly people, states in this regard the emergence in the Russian socio-political space of a new type of minorities subjected to discrimination. It is also compares the strategy and tactics of decision-making by power structures and major confessions during a pandemic, including for the elderly. Considerations are expressed about the need to take into account the experience of making political decisions in such situations, and to correct them on the base of state, social and individual interests and meanings.
