Ruang Administrasi Departemen Arsitektur Unhas merupakan bagian dari fungsi ruang di gedung Arsitektur Fakultas Teknik Universitas Hasanuddin Gowa, yang memiliki intensitas aktivitas cukup tinggi. Sebagai fungsi administrasi, akademik, dan penunjang, ruang ini menjadi titik simpul pertemuan antara staf pegawai, dosen, dan mahasiswa. Terjadi pergeseran sifat ruang administrasi yang formal menjadi informal dengan adanya kegiatan lain. Studi ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi latar perilaku (behavior setting) pemanfaatan ruang kerja Departemen Arsitektur Unhas, dengan mengamati objek penelitian dan menjelaskan atau menggambarkan latar fisik ruang, dan latar perilaku pengguna ruang, serta menganalisis unsur-unsur atribut yang terjadi dalam ruang.  Penelitian ini bersifat eksploratif-deskriptif, menggunakan teknik pengamatan pemetaan perilaku (Behavior Mapping) yang menekankan pada perilaku pengguna dalam suatu waktu di tempat tertentu (Place-Centered Mapping), Physical Trace, dan Time Budget. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan latar fisik ruang mempengaruhi perilaku pengguna dan membentuk pola perilaku dan konfigurasi peta mental yang cenderung terjadi berulang. Ruang kerja dan ruang tunggu cenderung fleksibel dan adaptabel, terdapat teritori pada area ruang kerja. Di ruang kerja tampak penggunaan ruang dalam satu latar mengalami proses identifikasi perilaku, namun identifikasi tersebut cenderung tidak berpengaruh pada latar ruang.

The need for residence which is directly proportional to population growth bringsabout density and dinginess of fisherman settlement at Lorong Proyek, Bagan DeliVillage, Medan Belawan Subdistrict, North Sumatera. Density and dinginess in this areahave caused it to be improper so that the alternative in handling it is by designing anapartment for the fishermen who are dominated by low income people. A livableapartment should have a standardized residence without ignoring fishermen’s goodbehavior in the residential unit and its vicinity so that it can accommodate their needs,based on users’ satisfaction-based observation and design evaluation and by payingattention to the analysis on their behavior and needs while they live in the apartment.The process of designing an apartment was obtained from questionnaires andobservation through behavior setting, time budget, and behavioral mapping.Theobjective of the research was to yield design criteria which applied behavioralarchitecture in designing apartment for fishermen. It was expected to be able to copewith the problem of the decrease in the environmental quality to become a livableresidence which could accommodate apartment dwellers’ behavior/activity for fishermen.

Abstract: This Research is one of methods to figure out the benefits from the use of marking road. A special handling is needed to the violations of Marking Road especially for populated area that located on lack of attention area. Sunday morning market of University of Gadjah Mada has tight activities every Sunday morning and Olahraga street is the study sample that represent other streets. This research using qualitative methods by gathering data field and interview to obtain results such as site size, history, behavior setting, behavior mapping, and personal space. The use of marking road must be related to territorial division of activities such as function and activity that is happening.  Territory happened through a different process every its object.  There are two divisions of territory for Sunday Market Morning that are Primary Territory and Secondary Territory. Primary Territory includes kiosk traders, parking attendants, and visitors. On the other hand, Secondary territory is a space that is used together such as secondary road or the divisor road. After the division of territories is obtained then the data is analyzed to get some alternatives. The alternatives are compared to get the pattern of territories that can be arranged through the use of Marking Road.Keywords: Marking Road, Territorial, Sunday Morning Market of Gadjah Mada University    Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengetahui manfaat dari penggunaan marka jalan. Pelanggaran terhadap marka jalan perlu penanganan khusus terutama daerah-daerah padat yang terdapat pada jalur jalan lingkungan yang kurang menjadi perhatian. Pasar Minggu Pagi (Sunday Morning Market) Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta termasuk memiliki kegiatan padat setiap minggu pagi dan jalan olahraga sebagai sampel penelitian mewakili jalan yang lain. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data lapangan dan wawancara sehingga mendapatkan data seperti ukuran site, sejarah, behavior setting, behavior mapping, dan personal space. Penggunaan marka jalan pasti berhubungan dengan pembagian batas teritori kegiatan seperti fungsi dan aktivitas yang terjadi. Teritori terjadi melalui proses yang berbeda-beda tiap objeknya. Pada Sunday Morning Market terdapat pembagian dua teritori yaitu primary territory dan secondary territory. Primary territory meliputi pedagang kios, pelaku parkir, dan pengunjung. Sedangkan secondary territory merupakan ruang yang dipakai bersama seperti jalan sekunder ataupun jalan pembagi. Setelah didapatkan pembagian teritorinya maka dianalisis dan mendapatkan beberapa alternatif. Alternatif tersebut dibandingkan sehingga mendapatkan pola teritori yang dapat diatur melalui penggunaan marka jalan.Kata kunci: Marka Jalan, Teritorial, Pasar Minggu Pagi Universitas Gadjah Mada

Orienteering problem (OP) is an NP-Hard graph problem. The nodes of the graph are associated with scores or rewards and the edges with time delays. The goal is to obtain a Hamiltonian path connecting the two necessary check points, i.e. the source and the target along with a set of control points such that the total collected score is maximized within a specified time limit. OP finds application in several fields like logistics, transportation networks, tourism industry, etc. Most of the existing algorithms for OP can only be applied on complete graphs that satisfy the triangle inequality. Real-life scenario does not guarantee that there exists a direct link between all control point pairs or the triangle inequality is satisfied. To provide a more practical solution, we propose a stochastic greedy algorithm (RWS_OP) that uses the roulette wheel selectionmethod, does not require that the triangle inequality condition is satisfied and is capable of handling both complete as well as incomplete graphs. Based on several experiments on standard benchmark data we show that RWS_OP is faster, more efficient in terms of time budget utilization and achieves a better performance in terms of the total collected score ascompared to a recently reported algorithm for incomplete graphs.

The interdisciplinary field of person-environment relations has, from its origins, addressed the transactional relationship between human behavior and the built environment. This body of knowledge has been based upon qualitative and quantitative assessment of phenomena in the “real world.” This knowledge base has been instrumental in advancing the quality of real, physical environments globally at various scales of inquiry and with myriad user/client constituencies. By contrast, scant attention has been devoted to using simulation as a means to examine and represent person-environment transactions and how what is learned can be applied. The present discussion posits that press-competency theory, with related aspects drawn from functionalist-evolutionary theory, can together function to help us learn of how the medium of film can yield further insights to person-environment (P-E) transactions in the real world. Sampling, combined with extemporary behavior setting analysis, provide the basis for this analysis of healthcare settings as expressed throughout the history of cinema. This method can be of significant aid in examining P-E transactions across diverse historical periods, building types and places, healthcare and otherwise, otherwise logistically, geographically, or temporally unattainable in real time and space.

Abstract This study was conducted to evaluate whether cooled floor pads combined with chilled drinking water could alleviate negative impacts of heat stress on lactating sows. Thirty sows (Landrace × Yorkshire, Parity = 1 to 6) were housed in individual farrowing stalls in two rooms with temperatures being controlled at 29.4°C (0700–1900 hours) and 23.9°C (1900–0700 hours). Sows in one room (Cool), but not in the other room (Control) were provided cooled floor pads (21–22°C) and chilled drinking water (13–15°C). Behavior of sows (15 sows/treatment) was video recorded during farrowing, and days 1, 3, 7, 14, and 21 after farrowing. Videos were viewed continuously to register the birth time of each piglet, from which total farrowing duration and birth intervals were calculated. The number of drinking bouts and the duration of each drinking bout were registered for each sow through viewing videos continuously for 2 h (1530–1730 hours) each video-recording day. Postures (lying laterally, lying ventrally, sitting, and standing) were recorded by scanning video recordings at 5-min intervals for 24 h each video-recording day, and time budget for each posture was calculated. Rectal temperature and respiration rate were measured for all sows the day before and after farrowing, and then once weekly. Sow and litter performance was recorded. Data were analyzed using the Glimmix procedure of SAS. The cooling treatment did not affect sow behavior or litter performance. Sows in the Cool room had lower rectal temperature (P = 0.03) and lower respiration rate (P < 0.001), consumed more feed (P = 0.03), tended to have reduced weight loss (P = 0.07), and backfat loss (P = 0.07) during lactation than sows in the Control room. As lactation progressed, sows increased drinking frequency (P < 0.001) and time spent lying ventrally (P < 0.0001), standing (P < 0.001), and sitting (P < 0.0001), and decreased time spent lying laterally (P < 0.0001) in both Cool and Control rooms. While cooled floor pads combined with chilled drinking water did not affect sow behavior, they did alleviate heat stress partially, as indicated by decreased rectal temperature, respiration rate, weight, and backfat loss, and increased feed intake in lactating sows.

Neither frequency nor duration of drinking bouts was affected by treatment (P >0.27). No significant difference was observed in time budget for each posture (P >0.46) between treatment and control groups. As lactation progressed, sows increased drinking frequency (from 1.2 drinks/2h on d 1 to 4.9 drinks/2h on d 21; P< 0.001) and time spent lying ventrally (8% to 14%; P< 0.0001), standing (4% to 10%; P< 0.001), and sitting (2% to 4%; P< 0.0001), and decreased time spent lying laterally (86% to 67%; P< 0.0001) in both control and treatment rooms. These results indicate that chilled drinking water and cooled floor pads did not affect behavior of sows during farrowing and lactation in the current study.
