The continuous rise in food scarcity is creating an alarming situation in underdeveloped countries and Pakistan is no exception. According to the Global Hunger Report published in 2020, Pakistan was ranked 88th among 107 countries, with 28.5% of the population under-nourished. To address the situation, food resources need to be more effectively utilized. To reduce food wastage, various efforts have been made to identify the issues associated with the lack of adoption of food wastage mobile application(s). Using purposeful sampling and data from 150 respondents collected from a public sector university and a software house, participants’ experience in using selected food wastage mobile applications were evaluated. In terms of usability parameters, the study proposes improvements in the prototype design.

Abstract. The paper presents the results of an experimental research activity aimed to individuate digital tools for an intelligent mapping of structural and material decay of historical buildings. The activities carried out are part of the context of Scan-to-BIM processes, as they establish a workflow that, starting from 3D survey data, leads to an information model enriched by information related to the conservation state of surfaces and to the structural characteristics of the real building. The experimentation has been performed with the support of a software house, looking forward to turning this workflow into an actual implementation on a BIM software. In this regard, this research becomes part of the context of the studies concerned in the digital management processes of the historical built heritage, setting and testing specific parametrical objects that add to H-BIM models the possibility of documenting and sharing graphical, numerical and descriptive data of decay phenomena and, through integrative information sheets, damage phenomena.

Nowadays, Industry 4.0 is becoming a strategic issue for software companies. Because of fast digital conversion, they should review their visions and strategies. In this study, a project management framework is proposed for software companies considering Industry 4.0 as a future strategy. Global ERP firms try to find a good integration of ERP and Industry 4.0 applications. A global ERP firm's solution partner is used as a case study in this chapter. The study includes: the development of an internet-based portal application that integrates all their business partners (customers, suppliers); a collaborative project management software; and an industry 4.0 portal. The benefits of this study after applying in the software house are explained.

Technical Debt (TD) and Technical Debt Management (TDM) are terms that are receiving increasing attention from practitioners and researchers. They reflect a concern on how shortcuts taken during the software development process can incur negative impacts on software maintainability and how practitioners may use tools and techniques to mitigate the effects of the debt over time. A widely used tool to manage TD on an implementation level is SonarQube with the SQALE method, as it allows developers and managers to track debt over time. However, even SonarQube has its weaknesses since it only provides a set of architecture agnostic rules for TD, and the implementation of new rules can prove to be a challenging job. In this paper, we discuss how, during a real industrial project on a Brazilian software house, we developed a set of rules based on the Clean Architecture model, created a plug-in for SonarQube, and integrated it into our development cycle. At last, the preliminary results show that using a rigorous set of rules allows keeping track of TD on an implementation level.

Abstract— The software house business is one of the businesses that are developing in the 4.0 industrial revolution era, both globally and locally. There are many software houses that need programmers with various qualifications to be accepted as employees both contract and permanent employees. One of the problems that arises is the frequency of employees leaving (resigning) from the software house for various reasons such as meeting deadlines, difficulty in working in teams, and also limited ability of programmers (low-skilled). many components of test results to test the ability to make programs. This study aims to build a decision support system in the selection of software house employees who can rank the results of prospective applicants' tests quickly based on the weight of predetermined criteria. Decision support systems made in this study can process test score data, prospective programmer data, and criterion data. The software house programmer acceptance decision support system created in this study successfully implemented the SAW method and was able to display the results of the ranking ranking starting from the score with the highest value to the score with the lowest value. Keywords—: decision support systems; software house programmer acceptance; simpe additive weighting; SAW.

The framework that provides best practice in IT service management is called IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). The IT service management leads to the management of a service, this service is generated through the system development process. Each system has a different scale, characteristics, requirements, types, and properties but has the same stage in its development, that is by implementing the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Software developers on IT projects must implement SDLC by selecting a particular model process. But many IT development teams do not pay attention to software management frameworks or standards so that they will experience difficulties in planning, reporting work results, monitoring, controlling, etc., especially when all personnel in the team don’t have sufficient experience. It would be better if every software house company and IT Consultant applies the general framework and standardization so that the software development process will be more directed and produced high quality services. In conducting the SDLC process, an accountant is needed, in this case the auditor who has a role as an information provider in describing business processes in a company activity, the auditor also plays a role as controller that ensuring the system is in accordance with accounting regulations, and accountants also act as checker of the system so that the auditors must involved in the initial design of a system. The application of ITIL in the SDLC process will have an impact on the ease of the auditor in carrying out the duties.
