Industrialization and the growing consumption of medicines leads to global aquatic contamination. One of the antibiotics widely used against bacterial infections in both human and veterinary medicine is tetracycline. Despite its positive antibiotic action, tetracycline is resistant against degradation, and therefore it accumulates in the environment, including the aquatic environment, creating great health hazards, possibly stimulating antibiotic resistance of pathogenic organisms. In this research, aqueous suspensions of semiconductor nanoparticles CdS were used for photocatalytic activity studies in the presence of methylene blue as a model compound, and finally, in the presence of tetracycline, a broad-spectrum antibiotic widely used against bacterial infections, as well as a live-stock food additive. The mechanism and kinetic rate constants of photocatalytic degradation processes of methylene blue and tetracycline were described in correlation with the energy diagram of CdS nanoparticles.

Almost all sub-districts in Wonogiri Regency have the potential to be vulnerable to natural disasters ranging from landslides, fires, floods, whirlwinds, moving land, sinking land, and drought. Losses arising from the disaster in the form of damaged homes and fatalities. Warehouse management aims to ensure the availability of logistical support and equipment at all times. An information system is created to monitor expiration dates, calculate aid allocations, and document movement of goods to calculate stock. Food logistics is prone to expiration, so it must be monitored so that it is in good condition for assistance. Calculating the allocation of aid is done to find out the number of days needed to make further distribution adjustments. The allocation calculation uses the fair share allocation method. The results achieved are managing category data, source of procurement data, sub-district data, village data, disaster data, item data, inventory data, expired data, incoming goods data, detail data of incoming goods, improper goods data, post data, calculated data, outgoing goods data, detail data of outgoing goods, and borrowing data.

Abstract: The basic value of food security is the availability of food stocks and accessibility. Ironically, the increased production of food commodities in Indonesia is not matched with the proper stock management system, so as if Indonesia is experiencing a food crisis in the commodity. Institutional food stock management national scale in Indonesia there are at least two that Bulog and the Warehouse Receipt System. Qur'an as the Muslim holy book always irrelevant to solving the problems of social. To that end, the presence of the Koran to be the solution to provide instructions and guidance of life, one of them about food security problems associated with food stock management. In this paper will discuss how national institutional stock management in Indonesia, and how to contextualise the concept of national food stock management in the perspective of Islam. From both expected to provide a solution to the problem of food stock management in Indonesia.

The safety of 0.3% sorghum ergot in a sow diet was evaluated, this being the currently regulated limit for stock food in Queensland. The alkaloid content (mg/kg) of the test diet was: dihydroergosine (DHES), 1.1; dihydroelymoclavine, 0.15; and festuclavine, 0.05. The test diet was fed to 16 sows from ~6 weeks prior to farrowing, until weaning of piglets 4 weeks post-farrowing. Compared to 16 sows fed a control diet, there were no significant effects on either onset of lactation, piglet mortality, or litter performance. There was a trend for ergot to reduce plasma prolactin concentrations at farrowing, particularly in first-litter sows, but this did not meet the test for significance and there were no corresponding trends for reduced performance. The results support shorter-term investigations showing that a diet with 0.3% sorghum ergot is tolerated by sows, when it contains 1 mg DHES/kg or less. Data are presented indicating a significant correlation between % ergot and DHES in 26 different sources of infected sorghum. However, while a sample containing 0.3% ergot is most likely to contain 1 mg DHES/kg or less, this can range from <0.1 up to 5 mg DHES/kg, depending on maturity of ergot sclerotia present in infected grain. Consequently, the risk that occasional batches of grain with 0.3% ergot can contain up to 5 mg DHES/kg must be taken into account, and regulations should probably be revised, either to reduce ergot concentrations to 0.1%, or to incorporate maximum alkaloid (DHES) concentrations of 1 mg/kg, for sow feeds.

Abstract A method has been developed to determine the phosphate composition of commercial stock food grade calcium phosphates with an over-all accuracy of ± 2% absolute. It is based on the EDTA solubility of all the o-phosphates, water-solubility of monocalcium phosphate, thermal conversion of dicalcium phosphate to pyrophosphate, and thermal stability of tricalcium phosphate. Results are given for both known and commercial samples.

The task of wheat growing in New Zealand is limited to providing for the needs of a population of 1½ million. Owing to the long distance from other wheat-growing countries it is considered essential for the Dominion to remain independent in its supply of wheat and flour. A sliding scale duty fixes the price of wheat at a level sufficiently remunerative to the grower to insure the production of approximately the required amount. Since 1927, when this duty was introduced, the area under wheat has varied between 236,000 and 302,000 acres, and the annual production between 6½ and 11 million bushels. The requirements for flour milling, seed and stock food being slightly less than 9 million bushels, shortages due to unfavourable seasons are covered by the carry-over from the previous season, and/or by importation. It is only in seasons of excessive yields that export of wheat becomes necessary. Under the compulsory pooling system in force since 1932·3, losses due to the difference between local and export prices are distributed amongst all the wheat growers in the Dominion.
