This case study of The Assembled, an ensemble based at the University of York, UK, explores the approach, rationale, and processes used to develop performances operating at the intersection of experimental music and devised theatre practices. Detailing the rationale for the formation of the ensemble and the relationship to its institutional educational context, the chapter also discusses the historical background to the work of experimental music ensembles and illuminates the working practices of the group, examining components of collaborative facilitation emerging from participant interviews. These relate to the ethos of the group, methods of operation, considerations of space and audience, and verbal interaction.

Artistic ceramics, as a genre of professional decorative arts, being actively practiced in the second half of the twentieth century by a small number of artists in the Republic of Moldova, has seen an upward evolution, resulting in original achievements. The article examines the changes in the art of ceramics of the Republic during the first decade of the 21st century that have not been explored so far. As a result of the analysis of the art works, a number of thematic and aesthetic aspects were identified that reflect the creative goals and stylistic preferences of artists working in the considered period of time. The article examines the morphological features of the composition of the artistic shape of the ceramic artworks. Special atention is paid to the influence of technological methods of operation with ceramic materials (classical and mixed techniques) on achieving the aesthetic and semantic values of the ceramic artworks. An important place is reserved in the study to the principles of creative processing of folk motifs and the analysis of stylistic innovations that played an important role in achieving a meaningful image of the ceramic works of the time.

The article analyzes the composition of the ground infrastructure of an oil and gas producing enterprise, its main characteristics, as well as the cycle of infrastructure development within the framework of technological aspects. The features of operation methods of ground facilities objects of oil and gas fields in relation to the nature of the allocation of costs and the transparency of investment are given. The differences between infrastructure maintenance and optimization measures, as well as between the concepts of optimization and development/adaptation, are established. The differences are that the main goal of optimization is to reduce costs or minimize risks, the development/ adaptation of existing production capacities is most often carried out for technological reasons, and the maintenance of the existing infrastructure and its operating modes is carried out exclusively in accordance with the design characteristics. The analysis of the methods of operation of the ground infrastructure facilities of the fields showed that when implementing reengineering programs, a comprehensive approach to their assessment is implemented, which allows the most efficient use of financial resources.

Paradoksalnie, decyzja kanclerz Merkel znacznie zwiększyła ryzyko wystąpienia takiego scenariusza, dlatego też niemieckie władze postrzegają i islamski, i prawicowy ekstremizm jako stwarzające jednakowe zagrożenie bezpieczeństwa państwa. Jednak dopiero ostatnie zamachy terrorystyczne w październiku i listopadzie 2020 r. we Francji i Niemczech przyczyniły się do zmiany politycznej narracji. Changes in the perception of immigration, integration, multiculturalism and threats of Islamic radicalism in certain EU member states The 2015 immigration crisis became a driving force for movements and parties that negate the current political order, including those that do not conceal their xenophobic slogans and ideas. In retrospect, there are more and more signs that the decision to accept the uncontrolled refugee influx was more an expression of wishful thinking than a rational decision, taking into account the actual political situation. Thus, Europe finds itself in a dangerous situation with far-right movements on the one hand, and radical Islam on the other. Each of these formations legitimizes its existence and methods of operation by the existence of the other side, trying to polarize society and create a situation that will somehow force citizens to opt for one of the two options. Paradoxically, Chancellor Merkel’s decision significantly increased the risk of such a scenario, hence the perception of Islamic and right-wing extremism by the German authorities as posing an equal threat to state security. However, it was only the recent terrorist attacks in October and November 2020 in France and Germany that changed the political narrative.

Aim: The study aims to compare Polish methods of health promotion and prevention (prophylaxis) of mental disorders among children and adolescents with solutions have their effect in other countries when assessing the effectiveness (in both groups). Material and methods: Based on legal acts concerning mental health protection and data on preventive programs conducted both in Poland and in other countries, not only the methods of operation and the differences between them were compared but also recommendations were made regarding making possible changes to the current activities in Poland. Results: In territorial self-government units, where help is offered mainly to teenagers, introducing the intervention may be too late. Besides, due to the limited number of places offering such aid, incl. municipal programs, the issue emerges – concerning the ensuring of appropriate preventive measures – which results in the deterioration of the situation in this age group category and eventuate in the escalation of the current situation. Conclusions: To prevent the widespreadness of the disorders mentioned above, it is necessary to modify and extend the scope of preventive measures and activities regarding mental health promotion in Poland.

The article presents the results of a study of the wear of individual pump elements, a decrease in their efficiency and significant losses. The nonidentical operation of the extreme and middle pumps was established. The uneven approach of water to the extreme units created reverse flows of water in the suction pipes, work with vibrations of modes close to cavitation. The modernization of the pumps improved the cavitation characteristics due to the elimination of the cavitation center at the impeller inlet in the area of the driven disk, which increased the reliability and durability of the pump. Diagnostics of irrigation pumps made it possible to substantiate proposals for the modernization of their main units and operating modes. The distribution of pumps according to the general level of vibration is shown, indicating the direction at which the maximum value of vibration displacement was recorded and the results of a comparative measurement of the vibration of the units of the pumping station-1 of the Karshi Main Channel (KMC).Studies of the pumps of large irrigation pumping stations have shown a reduction in vibration and an improvement in basic operating parameters. With the participation of the authors, new complex methods of operation are being developed, which allow increasing its reliability by predicting the technical condition.
