This research proposes a framework for social network scrum meeting that serves as an alternate means for work continuation under the COVID-19 pandemic. Conventional agile and scrum methods that require in-person meeting on daily basis, as well as scrum process become impractical under stringent ‘social lockdown’ mandates. To prevent any disruptive discontinuity, the proposed framework sets up an online meeting to replace the in-person stand-up meeting and scrum. Some supporting practices are also established to adjust both agile and scrum event flows that suit this online encounter. They are production development setup and social network meeting. The former offers industrial practices that are well entrenched and proven, while the latter has been used extensively in this digital age. The proposed method is tested with computer science student’s projects. Students are able to continue their meeting, discussion, and some outputs rather than being isolated with no fruitful outcome. The proposed method does establish some ground work to be explored for future software development environments that will suit to the imminent digital technological advancement.

Background: The objective of this study was to examine the effect of the Japanese re-work program (RP) to aid in recurrent sick leave prevention. Methods: A multicenter retrospective cohort research was conducted for workers who returned to work (RTW) after sick leave due to mood disorder. Work continuation for subjects who RTW after RP participation and treatment as usual (TAU) and subjects who received TAU only were compared. The Kaplan–Meier method and Cox proportional hazard models were utilized. Additionally, propensity score matching was conducted to control for possible confounds. Results: Log-rank test of overall cohort (n = 323) showed that work continuation of RP + TAU subjects was significantly better compared to that of TAU-only subjects (p = 0.001). Multivariate analysis found a hazard rate of recurrent sick leave for TAU-only subjects of 2.121 (p = 0.001, 95% CI: 1.360–3.309). Additionally, the propensity score-matched cohort (n = 100) had similar differences (p = 0.008), with a hazard ratio of recurrent sick leave of 2.871 (p = 0.009, 95% CI: 1.302–6.331) for TAU-only subjects.Limitations: Only workers who RTW after sick leave were targeted, and no examination was made considering cases who dropped out from RP or TAU. Moreover, the sample was a non-randomized controlled trial, with propensity score matching performed. However, there was an inability to retrieve and adjust for working environment background factors after RTW.Conclusions: Work continuation of subjects with RP was observed to be significantly better, suggesting that the RP was effective for recurrent sick leave prevention.

The aim of the research is to analyze life circumstances, activity results and to give a social portrait of Professor Zh. Zh. Rapoport, Doctor of Medical Sciences. For the first time we present information about active longevity and work continuation of a doctor, a teacher and a scientist of Krasnoyarsk Medical Institute, who continues to cooperate with Krasnoyarsk Medical University and Institute of Medical Problems of the North. Material and methods. Historical documents, parents and family memories, information on work after graduation from Odessa Medical Institute, publications about him, memoirs of employees of Pediatrics Department of Krasnoyarsk Medical Institute Studied are studied. Historical and biographical method was used. Results. There are examples of his formation as a doctor, considering his family medical dynasty, achievements during the period of work in Krasnoyarsk Territory. Features of his pedagogical activity and formation of pediatric school are given. Scientific genealogy and its continuation in students are described. The facts of maintaining high level of psychological mood for a long active period of life are presented. Conclusion. It is proposed to use the mentioned experience in professional motivating medical students, improving pedagogical process, in the ability to conduct practically significant scientific research during the period of work and to transfer experience and knowledge after retirement.

The purpose of our research was to find out the literary path of Ilhammi Emin, as well as his poetic work published in Macedonian language. For that purpose, we started the research from literary sources that provide us with data on its beginning and the developmental path of the literary scene. We then approached his first book, "Life Sings and cry’s" published in 1955, then moving forward, to the collection of poetry "Gultepe" (2010), we noted the motives that fulfill these works. Each subsequent work, continuation of the previous one, each with the title and smell of the rose, which symbolizes love, smell and respect. And the motives in them are constantly complementing and intertwining. To find out why Emin created concurrently in both Turkish and Macedonian, with a style characteristic of him only.

Abstract This paper presents a utilization of mulcher tools, their wear and possibilities of increasing their lifetime and durability based on analysis and tests. Mulcher tools are subjected to a very strong wear causing the loss of soldered WC tips in some cases and even permanent deformation of the body tool made of steel 14 220 (16MnCr5) during the continuous use. Images depicting the loss of material from the mulcher tool due to wear were produced by overlaying the pre- and after-wear tools by means of the optical scanning system. Input analyses - measuring of hardness, impact test and evaluating of microstructure showed that forging is without heat treatment. This does not provide sufficient mechanical properties to tools that would ensure work continuation after losing WC tips. Therefore, an appropriate process of heat treatment of the tool body has been proposed. By comparing the loss of material using abrasive test, it was observed that the wear of heat-treated material was three times lower than of material without heat treatment. This gives the precondition for increasing the resistance of the tool body and thus increasing of lifetime and durability after loss of WC tips. The implementation of such a solution could bring not only technical but also economic benefits.

Background: Homeless, runaway, and transgender youth are at high risk for commercial sexual exploitation in the United States. Research examining this phenomenon is growing but requires synthesis to facilitate its use by professionals who serve this population. The purpose of this review was to aggregate the qualitative evidence regarding commercially sexually exploited youth (CSEY) in the United States. Methods: The search included published and unpublished qualitative studies with current or former CSEY who reside in the United States. Results: There were 19 studies included in the review with a total of 795 participants. Eight themes were identified and grouped into three broader categories: experiences that preceded sex work entry, experiences that facilitated sex work continuation, and experiences that facilitated sex work exit. Conclusions: Understanding the barriers and facilitators of commercial sexual exploitation can inform the development of interventions that address the needs of CSEY and youth at risk for exploitation. The results of this review highlight the social and economic influences as well as the role of positive and negative reinforcements involved in sex work entry, its continuation, and exit. Needs for services, research, and advocacy are also discussed.

ABSTRACTResearch on the correspondence between retirement intentions and subsequent behaviour is scarce. We aimed to explore possible associations between retirement intentions and behaviour, using five-year high-quality quantitative panel data on Norwegian senior workers. Retirement intentions operate at different levels of firmness: (a) considerations; (b) preferences; and (c) decisions. Compared to work continuation considerations, a targeted age for retirement improved predictive power whether the target was preferred or decided, and particularly so if the target (i.e. the preferred or decided age of retirement), corresponded with a normative retirement age. Because more workers are able to state a preferred age of retiring than a decision about when to retire, preferences may be better proxies for retirement behaviour than decisions, when the issue is planning for policies. The correspondence between intentions and behaviour varies primarily by health, education and type of work. Older workers with poor health, and workers with low education, often retire earlier than they prefer. Blue-collar workers often retire earlier than they had decided. These findings illustrate the possible effect of labour market resources, not only for senior workers' labour market participation, but also for their opportunities to work up to the age they prefer or had decided. Even for white-collar workers and those in good health, constraints seem to apply when they wish to retire late.
