Aims: To reduce the microbial load on cut-carrot surface using 390 nm Light Emiting Diode ( LED) illumination Place and Duration of Study: Agro-Produce Processing Division, ICAR Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, India between August, 2017 to November, 2019 Methodology: Samples were collected from local market from India and LED treatment was given to samples and microbial analysis was conducted using spread plate method. Results: The effect of 390 nm LEDs on cut-carrot surface has been evaluated in this study. The effect of dosage was found significant (p<0.05) for reducing bacterial and fungal load. Significant bacterial and fungal reduction was observed from 20 min of treatment till 3 h. Maximum inactivation of 28.4 % of bacteria and 24.1 % of fungus were detected at 3 h of exposure. These results demonstrated the potential of 390 nm LEDs as surface decontamination technology for cut-fruits and vegetables. Conclusion: 390 nm LED illumination can be a suitable and eco-friendly novel technology for surface decontamination of cut fruits and vegetables in the food industry.

Crop production in the sector of agriculture performs an important part to complete daily food needs. The failure of food is largely linked to infected plants, crops which decreases the production rate reflectively. Plant illnesses are not yet investigated in a premature stage to define. The primary difficulty is the lessening in the use of pesticides in farming and the rise in manufacturing performance and volume. They have suggested an improved clustering method for predicting the region of the affected leaf in this paper. The intent of this paper is to use portable technological development to promote understanding of crop organisms around us. A color-based segmentation system is described to separate and classify the affected area of the plant. Experimental analyzes of temporal complexity and the area of affected areas in sample pictures have been supported out, the picture processing technique which can detect illnesses of the plants. Disease identification includes measures such as picture creation, pre-processing, division of the picture, removal of features and ranking, initiative detects crop illnesses and provides alternatives for illness recovery. It indicates the proportion of the impacted portion of the leaf of a plant.

Rosela (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) is used for drinks because it contains organic acids, polysaccharides, and flavonoids that are useful in preventing cancer, controlling blood pressure, promoting blood circulation, and promoting defecation, so it is feasible to be developed. Teaching Factory Tegalampel Bondowoso Processing Division of the PP Negeri 1 Vocational School captures the potential for the development of rosella by producing Minrose processed products, ready-to-drink and healthy packaging drinks from Rosela flowers as one of the superior products suitable for consumption for all people. Sales fluctuations assume that managers need to conduct studies by conducting price policies and building positive perceptions about product quality through customer satisfaction for purchasing decisions. Researchers used samples to consumers or buyers of Minrose products at the age of 15 to 60 as many as 70 people. This study uses path analysis analysis method that shows the results that the price affects consumer satisfaction (ρX1.Z = 0.387 with Sign. 0.001), product quality has an effect on customer satisfaction (ρX2.Z = 0.294 with Sign. 0.009), the price has no effect on purchasing decision (ρX1.Y = 0.046 with Sign. 0.630 and Indirect effect = 0.157 and Total Coefficient = 0.203), product quality affects purchasing decisions (ρX2.Y = 0.457 with Sign. 0,000 and Indirect effect = 0.117 and Total Coefficient = 0.576 ), consumer satisfaction affects the purchasing decision (ρZ.Y = 0.407 with Sign. 0,000) Minrose products at the Teaching Factory of the Processing Division of SMK PP Negeri 1 Tegalampel Bondowoso.

This research aims to identify mental workload on  NASA-TLX for mental workload and packaging division and work posture on processing division at PT. XYZ. This research uses RULA and REBA methods for work posture. NASA-TLX (Task Load Index) is  used to determine mental work in packaging division. RULA (Rapid Upper Limb Assessment) is used to determine the upper body musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) injury in the process of production (which consists of weighing and processing station) at PT. XYZ and REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) is used to determine entire body MSDs injury in the production process. Those methods are applied to indicate that the workers are in fact working above the safety limit. Based on NASA-TLX method, it is clear that 21 of 30 workers feel that the work is very heavy. Another case, two unusual postures are found, one is determined by the action level of worker who lifting 20 kgs sack of powder is 10, so the action level of REBA in this case is hardly dangerous. The other one is determined by a worker who entering an ingridient to the machine, weight of the ingridient is 17,05 kgs. It means more than 10 kgs, and thus it can affect body posture. Keywords: Ergonomics, NASA-TLX, REBA, RULA
