PT Surya Putra Mulia is a company that produces gray (greige) using the knitting process. This research is focused on the warehouse section on the loading process finished goods. In the warehouse section there are some excessive physical activities due to activities are carried out manually. Measurement of work posture is needed to determine whether the work posture carried out by the operator is good and ergonomic. Assessment of work posture is carried out using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method. Based on an assessment using the REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) method, it shows that the withdrawal of finished goods includes a moderate level of risk, which means that improvements are needed. The activity of loading finished goods onto trucks (figure 3) includes a moderate risk level which means that repairs are needed, while in Figure 4 it is a high risk level which means that immediate corrective action is needed. For the preparation of finished goods on trucks, it is a moderate risk level, which means that repairs are needed. So that in the process of withdrawing finished goods, proposals are given to reduce the burden being transported. Then add a tool in the process of loading finished goods to the truck in the form of a hand stacker.

Low Back Pain (LBP) is pain in the waist or lower spine that can be felt up to the buttocks and thighs. Many workers experience illness. Results The study was conducted on 9,482 workers in 12 regencies and cities in Indonesia, the disease experienced by workers was Musculoskeletal Disorder as much as 16% including Low Back Pain. This study aims to determine the relationship between work duration and work posture with complaints of Low Back Pain at Nagari Simpang Kapuak tailors, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This research is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. Collecting data through a census of 43 tailors with interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis with univariate, bivariate and Chi-Square statistical test. The results of the study found that 58.1% of tailors experienced severe complaints of low back pain. 72.1% are classified as risky age, 74.1% are female, 58.1% have a BMI at risk, 67.4% work with risky work duration, 69.8% work with risky work postures. There is a relationship between age (p = 0.017), BMI (p = 0.013), work duration (p = 0.002), and body posture (p = 0.006) with complaints of Low Back Pain. To reduce the risk of Low Back Pain, tailors should relax and rest by stretching muscles, exercising based on the age of the worker, consuming foods that contain calcium, working with a balanced working time and doing an ergonomic work system.

The agricultural sector has a fairly high health risk due to exposure to wrong work postures. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between work posture and symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in farmers in Lembang Nonongan Village, Sopai District, North Toraja Regency. This type of research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional design. The sampling method is exhaustive sampling, with a total sample of 43 people. Data were collected using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) sheet to measure work posture and the Nordic Body Map (NBM) sheet to measure the level of respondents' complaints. This study was analyzed using the chi square test with a 95% confidence degree (α=0.05). The results of this study indicate that the majority of rice farmers experience symptoms of MSDs with severe complaints as many as 31 people (72.1%) and work postures with high risk as many as 35 people (81.4%). There is a significant relationship between work posture and symptoms of MSDS (p-value=0.028). It is recommended that farmers when carrying out the process of lifting rice sacks that have a heavy load to use assistive devices so as not to exacerbate the high risk of MSDs.

Background: Workers in informal sector such as loading and unloading workers have a risk of experiencing health disorder of occupational disease such as musculoskeletloadingal disorders (MSDs). Such complain usually occurs on spine (back and neck) and upper limb. Most of the loading and unloading workers work using manual material handling, such as loading, unloading, pushing, pulling, throwing, moving, or rotating loads using their hands or other body parts. Such work method has musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) risk, including low back pain. There are several factors causing the musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) including individual factors (age and gender), work factors (workload and work posture), and work environment factors. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the direct and indirect effects of age and workload with work posture as an intervening variable against musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) on loading and unloading workers at PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia IV (Persero) of Makassar Branch. Methods: The current research applied analytical observation with a Cross-Sectional approach involving 140 respondents selected through a simple random sampling technique. This research was further carried out at Pelabuhan Indonesia IV (Persero) of Makassar Branch in April-May 2021. Data obtained were analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. Results: There were 65 respondents (46.4%) who suffered from musculoskeletal disorder complaints in the high category followed by 53 respondents (37.9%) who suffered from musculoskeletal complaints in the very high category. It was also obtained that workload significantly affected the work position variable (p = 0.000 <0.05), age significantly affected the work posture variable (p = 0.000 <0.05), workload significantly affected the musculoskeletal disorders variable (p = 0.000 <0.05), and work posture significantly affected the musculoskeletal disorder variable (p = 0.000 <0.05). Conclusion: A significant indirect effect between workload and musculoskeletal disorders complaints through work posture variables. Significant indirect effect was also found between age and musculoskeletal disorder complaints through work posture. In addition, the highest category of low back pain complaints is in moderate disability.

The roasting process of coffee beans in West Kalimantan, especially Pontianak city, is still done traditionally. The coffee roasting process is done manually by using a fire stove as a heater. Workers with standing posture stir the coffee beans continuously, and it can take 4 hours for 20 kilos of coffee beans. Standing work posture is required for stirring the coffee beans but can cause fatigue in workers due to long-standing times and high heating temperatures. This situation causes the roasting process to be less efficient and can cause the roasting process to be uneven. The purpose of this study was to identify musculoskeletal complaints of standing work posture in the manual coffee roasting process and provide an evaluation of corrective work posture when using the design results of an automatic digital roasting machine. The methods used in this study were the Nordic Body Map (NBM) and the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) to assess the level of risk of posture for musculoskeletal complaints. The results of the identification of body points that experience fatigue were carried out by distributing NBM questionnaires and evaluating the worker's posture using RULA on CATIA V5R20. Based on the existing NBM, the risk score is 78, and the final RULA score is 6, which means that immediate corrective action is needed because the work posture is categorized as dangerous and does not meet ergonomic principles. Improvement of working posture is made by designing a roasting machine that is digital and automatic. So the workers do not need to mix the coffee beans manually. Based on roasting machine implementation results, there was a significant change in the NBM score and the final RULA score. The NBM results obtained a score of 55 which means that the risk is moderate with the risk of fatigue in the neck, right leg and, left leg. Meanwhile, evaluation of work posture based on RULA on CATIA obtained a final score of 3, which means that the work posture is not dangerous and does not require immediate improvement.

Objective and Background: The process of sampling the air quality of chimney emissions is a job that has the risk of causing work-related disorders and diseases. This study examines the relationship between the risk of ergonomics in work postures with material safety data sheet complaints on sampling activities. Methods: Analytical observational method with cross sectional approach. using the Nordic Body Map questionnaire and the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) assessment sheet. Primary data and secondary data were analyzed using Rank Spearman statistical test. Results: The level of risk of ergonomics in work postures at each stage of activity varies from low risk (value 2-3), medium (value is 4-7), and high (value 8 -10). Meanwhile, the level of MSDscomplaints was low (score 28-49) 11.1%, moderate complaints (score 50-70) were 44.4% and high complaints (score 71-91) were 44.4%. The results of the analysis test showed that there was a relationship between the level of ergonomics risk of working postures at 6 stages of activity, namely pre sampling, side preparation, climbing stairs, raising equipment, lowering equipment, and descending stairs (p-value < 0.05). Conclusion: Based on the other 4 stages of activity, namely sampling with a probe, sampling with a gas analyzer, measuring water content, and measuring particulate levels, there is no relationship between the level of ergonomics in work posture and complaints of MSDs, to reduce the risk of M.S.D.s complaints, efforts can be made through redesigning work stations that are not ergonomic with the use of tools to reduce workload.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan kategori risiko sikap kerja karyawan pada PT.XYZ dengan menggunakan metode ovako work posture analysis system (OWAS). Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal terhadap sejumlah karyawan ternyata terdapat keluhan-keluhan yang dirasakan oleh pekerja pada anggota tubuh tertentu seperti leher, tulang punggung, pinggang, kaki dan bahu. Aktivitas kerja yang sering dilakukan oleh karyawan dilantai produksi PT.XYZ adalah gerakan membungkuk, jongkok, berdiri, selama satu hari kerja (8 jam) yang bisa menyebabkan keluhan musculoskeletal disorder (MSDs) yang merupakan penyakit atau gangguan pada jaringan lunak (otot, sendi, ligament, tendon, tulang rawan) dan sistem saraf. Dengan adanya keluhan – keluhan yang dirasakan karyawan maka penelitian ini menggunakan metode ovako work posture analysis system (OWAS) yang merupakan metode untuk menilai pembebanan pada postur tubuh saat bekerja. Penerapan dari metode ini dapat memberikan suatu hasil yang baik, yang dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan kerja, sebagai peningkatan kualitas produksi, setelah dilakukannya perbaikan sikap kerja. Dari penelitian ini didapat hasil kategori risiko yang paling banyak adalah kategori risiko no.2  yaitu sikap kerja ini berbahaya pada sistem musculoskeletal disorder ( sikap kerja mengakibatkan pengaruh ketegangan yang signifikan) perlu perbaikan segera mungkin.
