Presents the results of radiation monitoring local soils agricultural land in Siberia. At the level of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation appreciated the power of gamma radiation exposure dose (MJeDG), technotronic and content of natural radionuclides in different types of soils in Siberia. Set MJeDG change within 8.0–12.2 mcr/h, 137Cs content in the range of 4.3–9.9 Bq/kg, 90Sr-1.0–5.4 Bq/kg, 226Ra-15–37 Bq/kg, 232Th-16–40 Bq/kg. Comparison with similar parameters obtained, characterizing the radiation situation in soils of agricultural land in Russia. MJeDG, the content of 90Sr and content of natural radionuclides in soils of Siberia correspond to those for Russia. Content of 137Cs in soils in –2.6 1.7 times, in crop production in –2.3 1.6 times lower than in Russia. Content of natural radionuclides in soils of Siberia close to the contents in the soils in Russia on average and the planet. According to local monitoring radiation situation in agricultural fields.

This paper discusses the syntax of the past tense auxiliaries in the vernacular Old Russian plusperfect construction of the type дал был, дал есми был. I prove that the past tense auxiliaries behaved as enclitics both with the order дал есми был and with the order дал был есми. The order of the pluperfect auxiliaries reflects different types of a clitic template characteristic of late Old Russian dialects. In the 15 th century, the order <дал> есми был was characteristic for the official style of the Moscow charters, while Polotsk charters from the same period generalized the reversed order <дал> был есми. In the 16 th century, the order <дал> был есми has established in the Moscow official tradition as well. The pluperfect auxiliaries were excluded from the clause-initial position and other non-enclitic positions, sentences of the type *#был есмь дал ~ #был дал есмь are not attested. In the clause-internal position, both groups of the Old Russian dialects grammaticalized the fixed contact order of the auxiliaries #...был есми... дал ~ #дал был есми irrespective of the position of the verb. This distribution proves that the pluperfect auxiliaries in the Old Russian texts from the 14 th –16 th centuries have the features typical of the clustering enclitics in the world's languages with Wackernagel's law.

Abstract Abstract 5145 Introduction Thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) is caused by various conditions, such as decreased a ADAMTS13 level, activated or injured vascular endothelial cells or activated platelets and it must be diagnosed at the early stage. This study, examined the activation of platelets by measuring of soluble platelet glycoprotein VI (sGPVI) level in patients with TMA. Materials and Methods The plasma levels of sGPVI, ADAMTS13 activity, von Willebrand factor (VWF) and VWF propeptide (VWFpp) were measured in 40 healthy volunteers, 46 patients without thrombosis (TH), 15 postoperative patients, 13 with disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) and 70 with TMA. The plasma levels of GPVI and VWFpp were measured by ELISA and ADAMTS13 was measured by the FRETS assay. There were 27 TMA with markedly decreased ADAMTS13 levels (TMA-ADAMTS13) and 43 TMA without (TMA-Other). Results The plasma levels of sGPVI (median; 25. 0–75. 0%tile) were significantly higher in patients without TH (16. 2 ng/mL 12. 6–22. 5 ng/mL), postoperative patients (31. 6 ng/mL; 28. 3–35. 1 ng/mL), DIC (44. 5 ng/mL; 36. 6– 60. 8 ng/mL), TMA (40. 8 ng/mL; 32. 9–56. 7 ng/mL) than in healthy volunteers (11. 4 ng/mL; 9. 1–14. 8 ng/mL). In addition, the plasma levels of sGPVI post in postoperative patients were significantly higher than in patients without TH (p< 0. 001), and these levels were also significantly higher in those with TMA and DIC than in without TH (p< 0. 001, respectively). The plasma levels of sGPVI were significantly higher in patients with TTP-ADAMTS13 (36. 8 ng/mL; 30. 5–49. 0 ng/mL) and TMA-Other (51. 9 ng/mL; 37. 4–66. 3 ng/mL) than in patients without TH (p< 0. 001, respectively). Abstract Abstract 474 Thrombin (Th) is a pleiotropic protease with prothrombotic, anticoagulant and proinflammatory functions. We have characterized the mechanisms through which the binding of Th to glycoprotein (GP) Ibα, a component of the GPIb-IX-V complex on platelets, may regulate these activities. First, we tested the hypothesis, based on crystallographic evidence, that both exosite I and II of α-Th are required for binding to GPIbα. For these studies, in addition to α-Th we used meizothrombin (M-Th), a precursor with functional exosite I but without exosite II, and γ-Th, a degradation product of α-Th with intact exosite II but structurally deranged exosite I. For experiments with purified components, we used a fully sulphated recombinant fragment of human GPIbα (residues -2-290; herein designated GPIbαN) with wild-type sequence (WT) or with the single mutations Y279F (prevents sulphation) or D277N. These residues are predicted to influence predominantly or exclusively the interaction with thrombin exosite I or II, respectively. In experiments measuring the formation of a stable complex in solution, GPIbαN-WT bound α-Th and γ-Th with similar characteristics, while there was no complex formed with M-Th under the same conditions. The mutation Y279F had only a modest effect, while the mutation D277N abolished formation of all complexes, indicating that exosite II is predominantly involved in binding a GPIbα fragment in solution. To obtain more biologically relevant findings, we generated BL6 mice with platelets expressing human GPIbα replacing the corresponding murine component in the GPIb-IX-V complex, either with wild-type sequence (h-WT strain) or with the mutations Y279F (h-279F strain) or D277N (h-277N strain). All had comparable surface expression of GPIbα (∼7,000 molecules/platelet). Platelets from h-WT mice bound α-Th and γ-Th in a saturable manner and with a similar apparent kd (∼50 nM) as human platelets. Because we could not label thrombin directly without affecting binding to platelet GPIbα, we used an indirect approach with biotin-PPACK inserted into the active site of α-Th, γ-Th or M-Th detected by fluorescent streptavidin-PE. With this method, there was no demonstrable M-Th binding to platelet GPIbα. Platelets from h-279F mice showed a markedly decreased binding of α-Th (∼16% of that seen with h-WT platelets and kd of 450 nM) and no binding of γ-Th. Neither α-Th or γ-Th bound to h-277N platelets. Altogether, these results show that α-Th binding to platelet GPIbα concurrently involves exosite I and II, and suggest that the deranged exosite I of γ-Th can contribute to the interaction but is not fully functional, as shown by the greater effect of the mutation Y279F on the binding with γ-Th than α-Th. Functionally, h-279F and h-277N platelets showed a significantly decreased response to stimulation by α-Th and decreased aggregation as compared to h-WT platelets, indicating that GPIbα contributes to this prothrombotic function of α-Th. In contrast, h-WT but not h-279F or h-277N platelets inhibited fibrinogen clotting, likely a consequence of GPIbα competing with fibrinogen for binding to α-Th exosite I, indicating that α-Th binding to GPIbα can also have anticoagulant consequences. Thus, we have shown that GPIbα is a relevant modulator of α-Th activity with potentially opposite effects on thrombogenesis possibly depending on the type of vascular lesion involved. Introduction: Whether therapeutic hypothermia (TH) improves survival after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) with initial asystole (AS) or pulseless electrical activity (PEA) is still controversial. At our hospital, revived OHCA patients follow the same standardized post resuscitation care protocol, if active treatment is desired. This includes TH, irrespectively of initial rhythm. Thus, we wanted to report the outcome for our OHCA patients of non-VF origin. Methods: Since September 2003 all OHCA patients admitted to our hospital have been registered in a database. All patients with initial AS or PEA admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or ward, between September 2003 and July 2007 were included. Favorable outcome is defined as a Cerebral Performance Category (CPC) of 1–2. Results: Altogether 58 patients, all comatose, with a median age of 55 (range 19 –90 years), were registered. Cardiac etiology was present in 24 patients (41%), half of which had a myocardial infarction. Among the 34 patients (59%) with non-cardiac etiology, 15 were intoxications (44%), seven had asphyxia after respiratory failure (21%), five had suffered a cerebral event (15%), three drowned (9%), one had a pulmonary embolism (3%), and three causes remained unidentified. Overall, 37 patients (67%) were treated with TH; 16 (43%) received external cooling (Arctic Sun, Medivance), 13 (35%) endovascular cooling (Coolgard, Alsius Corporation) and eight (22%) other external cooling, all methods combined with initial ice cold fluids/ice packs. Median time in ICU was three days (range 0 –19 days). Eleven patients (19%) were discharged alive from hospital (cardiac etiology in four, 36%). Nine patients (16%) had a favorable outcome, and two patients (3%) had CPC 3. Conclusion: After implementation of standardized post resuscitation care including TH, we found a 16% favorable survival among those admitted after non-VF OHCA, demonstrating a survival potential also for these patients.
