The ongoing climate change, coupled with the transformations of cultivation practices and land use in sole crop production, may cause a significant decline in sunflower yield stability. Considering that the sunflower is the third oilseed in the world oilseed market, with 45 million tons of grain per year, and that it takes the fourth position in the vegetable oil market, the implementation of sustainable growing technology in sunflower production is a necessity. Considering the above, the goal of the research was to analyze and recommend sustainable sunflower production technology in intercropping systems. A four-year trial was conducted in Serbia’s agroecological conditions (45∘34′23.2′′ N 19∘86′18.9′′ E) using a split-plot design. Two oil-type hybrids and one confectionary-type hybrid were intercropped with common vetch, red clover, and alfalfa. Common vetch × sunflower intercropping resulted in the decrease in almost all sunflower traits. Moreover, sunflower × alfalfa intercropping proved to be the most appropriate. The yield of NS Gricko and Rimi PR were statistically on the same level with sole cropping, while alfalfa biomass had better results after alfalfa was intercropped with NS Gricko, as compared to sole cropping. In view of the prevailing belief that yields are more stable in intercropping than in sole cropping, further research is needed in this respect, in addition to further research of the time and method of sowing.

Chitosan is a renewable natural alkaline polysaccharide, and laponite is a multifunctional nanocomposite. Their use exists in several areas, mainly due to their non-toxicity and because chitosan is from natural resources. One primary use in seed coating processes consists of applying an exogenous material to the seeds, which can facilitate handling and planting. Thus, this study aimed to investigate the most appropriate uses in patented and publications related to the use of Laponite and Chitosan to access these materials' state of the art to identify perspectives for new research. One hundred two publications were explored in the scientific databases Scopus (53) and Web of Science (WoS) (79). Of these, duplicates were removed, totaling 93 articles with publications started in 2006. The number of publications on chitosan and laponite for the countries with the highest number of corresponding authors was from China (27), Iran (16), and the United States (15). Brazil also stands out and occupies the fourth position regarding the number of corresponding authors (7). There were prospected 109 patents, and most of them have been used in medical or veterinary hygiene, or hygienic devices and methods (A61K), in cosmetics (A61Q). The compilation and analysis of scientific, technological, and information use carried out in this work has allowed for identifying the new research perspectives and validated the potential use of chitosan and laponite association as a seed coating.

ABSTRACTThe causative agent of COVID-19 pandemic, the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, has a 29,903 bases positive-sense single-stranded RNA genome. RNAs exhibit about 100 modified bases that are essential for proper function. Among internal modified bases, the N6-methyladenosine, or m6A, is the most frequent, and is implicated in SARS-CoV-2 immune response evasion. Although the SARS-CoV-2 genome is RNA, almost all genomes sequenced so far are in fact, reverse transcribed complementary DNAs. This process reduces the true complexity of these viral genomes because incorporation of dNTPs hides RNA base modifications. Here, in this perspective paper, we present an initial exploration of the Nanopore direct RNA sequencing to assess the m6A residues in the SARS-CoV-2 sequences of ORF3a, E, M, ORF6, ORF7a, ORF7b, ORF8, N, ORF10 and the 3’-untranslated region. We identified 15 m6A methylated positions, of which, 6 are in ORF N. Also, because m6A is associated with the DRACH motif, we compared its distribution in major SARS-CoV-2 variants. Although DRACH is highly conserved among variants we show that variants Beta and Eta have a fourth position C>U change in DRACH at 28,884b that could affect methylation. The Nanopore technology offers a unique opportunity for the study of viral epitranscriptomics. This technique is PCR-free and is not sequencing-by-synthesis, therefore, no PCR bias and synthesis errors are introduced. The modified bases are preserved and assessed directly with no need for chemical treatments or antibodies. This is the first report of direct RNA sequencing of a Brazilian SARS-CoV-2 sample coupled with the identification of modified bases.

Agricultural sector in Indonesia contributes greatly to employment, foreign exchange earners, and economic growth. In the export sector, shrimp commodities have the largest portion and become Indonesia's leading commodities. However,  Indonesia still cannot become a leader in the world's largest shrimp exporter and only occupies the fourth position of the world's shrimp exporter. There were two goals in the research. First, it was to determine the position of the competitiveness of Indonesian shrimp commodity exports compared to other exporting countries in the United States market. Second, it determined the factors that affected the competitiveness of shrimp exports commodity and made business strategy recommendations for Indonesian shrimp commodities. The research used panel data with a cross-section of seven countries and time series from 2001 to 2017. The result shows that Indonesia has a competitive advantage in the United States market. However, Indonesia must be wary of Ecuador with a higher Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) Value and India, the lead exporter in the United States Market. The factors that affect the competitiveness of shrimp exports are Gross Domestic Product (GDP), population, economic distance, and exchange rate of shrimp exporting countries against the US Dollar. Last, the right business strategy for Indonesia is to perform market penetration, market development, and product development strategies.

AbstractN6-methyladenosine (m6A) is a modification that plays pivotal roles in RNA metabolism and function, although its functions in spliceosomal U6 snRNA remain unknown. To elucidate its role, we conduct a large-scale transcriptome analysis of a Schizosaccharomyces pombe strain lacking this modification and found a global change of pre-mRNA splicing. The most significantly impacted introns are enriched for adenosine at the fourth position pairing the m6A in U6 snRNA, and exon sequences weakly recognized by U5 snRNA. This suggests cooperative recognition of 5’ splice site by U6 and U5 snRNPs, and also a role of m6A facilitating efficient recognition of the splice sites weakly interacting with U5 snRNA, indicating that U6 snRNA m6A relaxes the 5’ exon constraint and allows protein sequence diversity along with explosively increasing number of introns over the course of eukaryotic evolution.

Media language is a prototype of the public consent for the media to be defined through compromise as a fourth position in the paradigm of power as a philosophical category, whose explications before the media are legislative, executive, judicial. The linguistic norm and the cognitive-rhetorical characteristic of the media discourse are the prototype of the metaphor of the "fourth power". The formation of the information-language culture and the preservation of the language norm is the high social responsibility of the media discourse. The media is a prototype of public consciousness, a “picture” of national identity – a unit of political and socio-economic information and cultural “taste” (a sample of art and its list).

AbstractThe origins of syncopation in 20th-century American popular music have been a source of controversy. I offer a new account of this historical process. I distinguish between second-position syncopation, an accent on the second quarter of a half-note or quarter-note unit, and fourth-position syncopation, an accent on the fourth quarter of such a unit. Unlike second-position syncopation, fourth-position syncopation tends to have an anticipatory character. In an earlier study I presented evidence suggesting British roots for second-position syncopation. in contrast, fourth-position syncopation – the focus of the current study – seems to have had no presence in published 19th-century vocal music, British or American. It first appears in notation in ragtime songs and piano music at the very end of the 19th century; it was also used in recordings by African-American singers before it was widely notated.

Pyrazine is a six-member heterocyclic compound containing two nitrogen atoms, located at one-fourth position. A pyrazine and its derivatives are most commonly used as a pharmaceutical, food colouring agent and as a corrosion inhibitor. It has chemistry and chemical characteristics due to nitrogen atoms present which can be obtained from both naturally and synthetically. A pyrazine and its derivatives are used effectively in corrosion media to prevent metal and metal alloy from corrosion. Chemical and electrochemical methods are commonly used as corrosion monitoring techniques, in which weight loss EIS and PDP are prominent. Their mixed type of nature has been reported in previously published works. There have also been works on the use of computation calculation in recent works, which include DFT calculation and MD Simulation are the main ones. The future research related to the pyrazine has also been highlighted.
