The method of activity is: 1) on September 10, 2021 provides YouTube video links for the deepening of scientific approach material; 2) on September 17, 2021 designing learning activities with a scientific approach based on YouTube videos; 3) on September 24, 2021 made a learning video to explain the concept of high school physics with a scientific approach. Lecturers observe the creativity of students at every meeting. Indicators of creativity consist of fluent thinking skills, flexible thinking skills, original thinking skills, detail thinking skills, curiosity, and being challenged. Assessment of student creativity using scale 4. The increase in creativity score at the initial meeting and the final meeting is calculated using N-gain. The results showed the creativity score of students increased from 2.45 (poor criteria) at meeting 1 to 3.07 (good criteria) at meeting 2 and by 3.47 (good criteria) at meeting 3. The average creativity of students is 3.00 which is on good criteria. The lowest indicator is the skill of smooth thinking of 2.87 (poor criteria) while the highest indicator is to feel challenged by 3.17 (good criteria). The N-gain value of 66 is at the moderate criterion. Thus, the use of YouTube as a learning medium can develop student creativity, especially the attitude of feeling challenged

This paper evaluates the energy efficiency in the bakery industry toward competitiveness and sustainability through energy audits that were carried out on six bakeries located in Quito, Ecuador. Firstly, an initial meeting was held. After this, an energy survey was carried out in all areas of the bakeries. The information of the energy consumption of the facilities was collected. This was based on electricity bills, power data, equipment usage time, habits, and monthly consumption. With the energy balances, the critical points were identified, resulting in the baking process and the production activity, as those with the highest energy consumption within each establishment. Subsequently, with the indicator of electrical energy consumed per unit produced, the energy consumption by production processes and the bakery’s total energy consumption were determined. Several improvement proposals were generated for the bakery industry based on the results. Finally, it is concluded that the consumption of electrical energy in the bakery industry in Quito is efficient when compared to other bakeries, since they use less energy per unit of mass processed to produce products.

The epilogue offers a personal account of the author’s initial meeting with intermediary Brendan Duddy in Derry in 1997, their contacts over the following years, and the background to Duddy’s decision to deposit his private papers in the National University of Ireland Galway in 2009. Duddy acted as the primary intermediary between the IRA and the British government during repeated phases of engagement over a span of more than two decades. During all that time his identity was a closely guarded secret. His papers are dominated by three key periods of negotiation: the 1975 IRA ceasefire, the 1981 hunger strike, and the back-channel contacts of the early 1990s.

As school leaders, novice principals faced some challenges within the first years of their leadership journey. This mixed-methods study explores the initial challenges faced by novice principals while leading their schools. At the same time, their countering strategies in handling the initial challenges are also being explored. A total of 168 novice principals responded to all items within a questionnaire on their initial challenges and their useful strategies to overcome the challenges. In addition, 11 novice principals were interviewed for in-depth information on their challenges and possible strategies in overcoming them. Findings revealed that dealing with a previous principal’s legacy and heavy workloads were major challenges faced by novice principals. In terms of their countering strategies, novice principals employed various approaches such as organizing an initial meeting with teachers, getting parents involved in school activities, and sharing leadership practice.

Abstract Background Physical distancing restrictions, including recommendations to ‘stay home’ during the COVID-19 pandemic has restricted exercise opportunities for older adults. Our group of academic and clinical physiotherapists and a communications expert identified the need to support safe exercise at home to minimise the impact of these restrictions. The project aimed to develop an online, publicly available resource to support older adults to exercise at home. We met virtually and: a) developed home exercise programs for people at three levels of functional ability; b) developed simple advice about exercising safely, exercise intensity, and staying motivated; and c) reviewed and selected online exercise programs and resources for consumers and health professionals to access. Examples of older adults keeping active during the pandemic were sourced to provide motivation. Website content was made available to download and print to increase accessibility. Modifications were made after consumer and international advisor feedback, the website was endorsed by the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Content is updated as restrictions are modified and in response to feedback received. Google Analytics was used to evaluate website usage. The website was launched on 5 May 2020, 35 days after the group’s initial meeting. In the first 9 weeks of website availability 20,608 users accessed the website, with 14.6% being returning users. There were 27,513 sessions and 74,927 page views. Most users were from Australia (80.74%), followed by Denmark (5.15%) and USA (3.85%) We present this example of the benefits of time-critical collaboration to facilitate rapid translation of evidence into practice.

In this chapter, the creative phase of the Oxford Group is documented. It is noted that the experience of the Oxford Group was distinct in two main ways. In the first place, the main paradigm shift in thought—the conversion to vegetarianism and, for some, veganism—occurred very quickly for the individuals in the group as a result of an initial meeting with someone already committed. Second, for many of the participants, this conversion at the formation stage was the sum of their contribution and this was more than enough, for them, to identify as part of a group with, at the time at least, a very radical and pathbreaking outlook. Straddling a detailed coverage of these distinguishing characteristics, the chapter starts by providing a general description of how the group interacted, and ends by demonstrating that there were, in fact, a number of intersecting groups within the whole.

The study aims to answer the learning challenges on the 21st century. Teachers are required to improve their abilities, especially in managing student-oriented learning. Teacher creativity is the basis for designing meaningful learning. Participants of this activity were teachers of SD Muhammadiyah 29 Sei Mencirim and SD Muhammadiyah 38 Medan Krio. The target of this activity is that teachers are able to design active learning scenarios that can be applied in class. The methods for implementing this activity are: 1) Initial meeting with school principals, 2) Training activities, 3) Evaluation, and 4) Follow-up plans. Based on the results of the activity, the teachers have been able to design active learning scenarios and 21st century skills. The implementer hopes that participants will familiarize themselves with implementing the results of activities in supporting the learning being carried out and can pass them on to other teachers.
