Objective: To compare the differences between the work competencies self-reported by nurse aides’ and those perceived by nurses. Method: A cross-sectional survey was employed. The settings were units implemented a skill mix model institution in Taiwan. The instruments consisted of the participants’ demographic data and a nurse aide work competence scale. Results: The results indicated that the nurse aides had room for improvement in terms of “problem solving” and “activity design”. The nurse aides and nurses differed significantly in terms of the nurse aides’ competence in “activity design”, as the nurse aides reported themselves to be more competent in “activity design” than reported by the nurses. Conclusion: Nurse aides should be incorporated into cross-disciplinary teams. Activity design should be handled by other healthcare providers such as physical therapists or senior social workers.

Objective: To describe the symptomatology and to identify the mildew causal agent in basil (Oscimum basilicum), as well as the Trichoderma harzianum-Peronospora belbahrii in vitro mycoparasitic activity. Design/methodology/approach: Samples were taken from Nufar basil cultivars that had been naturally infected by mildew and, afterwards, the causal agent was isolated in order to carry out a pathogenicity test. The T. harzianum-P. belbahrii parasitism stages were observed in samples from the area in which both microorganisms interact. Results: The disease symptoms that reveal the presence of a mildew causal agent on basil plants grown in pots and soil match Peronospora belbahrii. Subsequently, the Trichoderma hyphae rolled up and penetrated and vacuolated the conidiophores and the pathogen mycelium. Study limitations/implications: This study was carried out using only one variety of basil. Findings/conclusions: T. harzianum’s capacity to parasitize P. belbahrii in vitro was observed after 72 h. Once the conidium of the antagonist germinated, the hyphae directed their chemotropism growth towards P. belbahrii’s conidiophores and mycelium.

Virtual solutions of museums can be notably used to promote distance learning activities by providing information about their collections. However, the effective use of this potential depends mainly on the exact alignment of the learning activities with the educational goals. For this purpose, this study focuses on the analysis of pre-service teachers’ activity designs based on virtual museum visits for out-of-school learning environments. Within the scope of the case study design, 40 activity plans developed by pre-service teachers for elementary mathematics, science, and classroom teaching were examined. The activity designs for selected virtual museums emerged as a result of a semester program. The research findings indicated that the activities emphasized the strategies of supporting learning outcomes, the guidance process for students in the virtual museum environment, and the engagement of the student with the virtual environment. Based on this, the study revealed that using virtual museums as a teaching tool for pre-service teachers supports teachers’ knowledge and skills of the activity design.

With the rapid development of the Internet, traditional teaching models can no longer meet the needs of talent training in colleges and universities, and reform is imperative. With the advent of the era of big data, the emergence of a large number of rich and diverse teaching resources, MOOC (Massive Online Open Course), microclasses, flipped classrooms, and other teaching models on the Internet has provided reform thinking and directions for teaching reform. This model divides the entire teaching design into two major modules: SPOC (Small Private Online Course) platform teaching activity design and flipped classroom teaching activity design, and applies this model to the actual teaching of open education, designing detailed teaching activity plans, in a real teaching situation. This study uses questionnaire surveys and interview surveys to investigate the basic personal situation of course learners, learning expectations, course participation, learning experience, and learning effects. It is planned to use the questionnaire star platform to issue and return questionnaires and use EXCEL and SPSS software to analyze the data and perform analysis and processing, combined with in-depth interviews with learners and professors for comprehensive analysis, so as to obtain the most true views of students and teachers on this model. In this process, we collect a variety of data from the SPOC platform and the flipped classroom platform, including feedback from students studying on the SPOC platform before class, observation of students’ learning attitudes in flipped classrooms to display of students’ results after class, and academic performance, summarize experience based on the analysis results, and optimize the teaching design plan. In classification algorithms, support vector machines (SVM) are widely used due to their advantages such as less overfitting and inconspicuous dimensionality of feature vectors. The traditional SVM algorithm is not suitable for processing large-scale data sets due to factors such as high time complexity and long training time. In order to solve these shortcomings, parallelizing the SVM algorithm to process large-scale data sets is an effective solution. On the basis of comparison, a SPOC-based flipped classroom teaching design model was constructed, and empirical application was carried out in the Open University, in order to promote the sustainable development of open education.

There are some problems in the activity design teaching of preschool education in higher vocational education, such as teachers' professional quality needs to be improved, practical teaching is weak, teaching integration is weak, and students' learning autonomy is insufficient. These problems affect the improvement of students' ability and level of activity design. The main strategies of activity design teaching improvement are to build a contingent of high-quality teachers, strengthen practical teaching, improve the integration of teaching, and guide students to improve their autonomous learning level.

The Bali Tourism Polytechnic has an annual agenda for campus introduction activities called the Tour De Campus in a series of Basic Professional Attitude Development activities, but in 2020 these activities cannot be carried out directly on campus. With limited resources and considered important, a Virtual Tour was created to replace these activities. The method used in writing this article is descriptive method from the results of designing activities that are carried out and directly observed. The stages of this descriptive research method are Problem Analysis, Activity Design and Design, and Implementation. Most of the results of the evaluation of the virtual tour activities were satisfied with the activities carried out. This activity can be carried out again in the future by increasing the use of technology to make it more attractive and can be duplicated by schools / campuses / other institutions that have technological limitations.
