In this study, we consider baryons as three-body bound systems according to hypercentral constituent quark model in configuration space and solve three-body Klein–Gordon equation. Then we analyze perturbative spin-dependent and isospin-dependent interaction effects. To find the analytical solution, we used screened potential and calculate the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of triply heavy baryons by using Nikiforov–Uvarov method. We compute the ground and excited state masses of triply heavy baryons with quantum numbers [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] via constituent quark model approach.

Abstract The Gross-Neveu model with UL(Nf)xUR(Nf) chiral symmetry is reconsidered in the large Nc limit. The known analytical solution for the time dependent interaction of any number of twisted kinks and breathers is cast into a more revealing form. The (x,t)-dependent factors are isolated from constant coefficients and twist matrices. These latter generalize the twist phases of the single flavor model. The crucial tool is an identity for the inverse of a sum of two square matrices, derived from the known formula for the determinant of such a sum.

AbstractQuantum transport is ubiquitous in physics. So far, quantum transport between terminals has been extensively studied in solid state systems from the fundamental point of views such as the quantized conductance to the applications to quantum devices. Recent works have demonstrated a cold-atom analog of a mesoscopic conductor by engineering a narrow conducting channel with optical potentials, which opens the door for a wealth of research of atomtronics emulating mesoscopic electronic devices and beyond. Here we realize an alternative scheme of the quantum transport experiment with ytterbium atoms in a two-orbital optical lattice system. Our system consists of a multi-component Fermi gas and a localized impurity, where the current can be created in the spin space by introducing the spin-dependent interaction with the impurity. We demonstrate a rich variety of localized-impurity-induced quantum transports, which paves the way for atomtronics exploiting spin degrees of freedom.

In the present study, we consider baryons as three-body bound systems according to the hypercentral constituent quark model in configuration space and solve the three-body Klein-Gordon equation. Then, we analyze perturbative spin-dependent and isospin-dependent interaction effects. To find the analytical solution, we use screened potential and calculate the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of some baryons. We consider exclusive semileptonic decays of bottom and charm baryons and apply the differential decay width with the Isgur-Wise function and arrive at the rates for some semileptonic baryon decays. The results prove more enhanced compared to recent works and comply well with the experimental data.

I propose a quantum metrology protocol for measuring frequencies and weak forces based on a periodic modulating quantum Jahn–Teller system composed of a single spin and two bosonic modes. I show that, in the first order of the frequency drive, the time-independent effective Hamiltonian describes spin-dependent interaction between the two bosonic modes. In the limit of high-frequency drive and low bosonic frequency, the quantum Jahn–Teller system exhibits critical behavior which can be used for high-precision quantum estimation. A major advantage of the scheme is the robustness of the system against spin decoherence, which allows it to perform parameter estimation with measurement time not limited by spin dephasing.

AbstractWhile the major virulence factors for Vibrio cholerae, the cause of the devastating diarrheal disease cholera, have been extensively studied, the initial intestinal colonization of the bacterium is not well understood because non-human adult animals are refractory to its colonization. Recent studies suggest the involvement of an interbacterial killing device known as the type VI secretion system (T6SS). Here, we tested the T6SS-dependent interaction of V. cholerae with a selection of human gut commensal isolates. We show that the pathogen efficiently depleted representative genera of the Proteobacteria in vitro, while members of the Enterobacter cloacae complex and several Klebsiella species remained unaffected. We demonstrate that this resistance against T6SS assaults was mediated by the production of superior T6SS machinery or a barrier exerted by group I capsules. Collectively, our data provide new insights into immunity protein-independent T6SS resistance employed by the human microbiota and colonization resistance in general.
