With the rapid development of this technology, facial recognition systems have become widely adopted in recent years. The application of the facial recognition systems by the hotel industry has resulted in a novel service model, as well as in high expectations. These systems can be used to improve conventional services and can also enhance hotel security. Based on theory, this paper employs a technology acceptance model to gain a deeper understanding of how travelers' intention to use facial recognition systems for authentication is formed. This paper employed the survey method and used data from 413 subjects to develop a model yielding results with both theoretical and management implications. These results highlight the advantages and potential commercial value of facial recognition systems, and can provide useful analysis and suggestions for the hotel industry.

The system of opening and closing the hotel room doors is already using RFID but its use is still not optimal because the card used is very expensive and the card used can only be one card for each room, so if the card is lost, you have to re-enter the card id. Therefore, digital electronic technology systems and devices are needed to make it easier to open the door and close the hotel room so that it can facilitate the hotel security system with automatic locks. This system and device uses an E-KTP and an Internet of Thing (IoT)-based Keypad and which functions to control the device using a NodeMCU while for a card reader with an RFID engine. The research method uses a model, namely with a prototype model for making systems and automatic room door locking system tools. The results and conclusions of the manufacture of hotel room automatic door locking systems and devices using an Internet of Thing (IoT)-based E-KTP equipped with a message LCD and keypad as a door opening solution if the RFID machine does not work. The security of hotel guests who stay is more guaranteed and can also make it easier for guests and hotel staff with an automatic hotel room door lock system. The results of the user's assessment of the work of a series of systems and tools to open and lock this automatic hotel room door are very good with a value of 88.7%.

Tourism is a quite touchy sector against the situations such as act of god (volcanic eruption, flooding, earthquake, storm, etc.), war, terrorism and riots. The main priority of tourism activity participator tourists is whether the country or region where they want to travel is safe or not. Because tourists travel for resting, let of steam, relaxing or vocationally. On the other hand while the tourists take travel decision acts by considering the warnings of their state and media etc. elements. Accordingly, safe perception of a region or a country has significantly importance in order to provide the sustainability of tourism sector. In this context, how domestic tourists perceive southeastern Anatolia region with safe aspects was tried to revealed, after safety concept was handled by associating with tourism. In the research it has been reached that, the participants mostly attach importance to security factor in vacation. Perceptions of those who participated “GAP” tour was assessed in six dimensions such as “general security”, “terrorist actions”, “health security”, “hotel security”, “food security” and “transportation security”. As a result of assessment, while the “hotel security” perception of those who attended the Southeastern Anatolia region tour has the highest participation, “general security” perception has the lowest participation dimension been determined. Besides the participators feel themselves in safe in the hotels of GAP tour, they also had even a little anxiety about the terrorism actions while they were taking to attend GAP tour.

: Security and protection demands in tourism industry are very high due to the vulnerability of its infrastructure in light of security challenges and threats. Actual threats appear in the form of endangering the values that compose a train of products and services in tourism – from the moment of buying/selling a package tour, transfer of passengers and luggage to their destination, to stay in hotels and meeting different needs of tourists. This work addresses the criminal, terrorist, and economic threats to hotels. The effects of these and other threats may endanger the foreign investments in tourism industry and the arrival of foreign tourists who, as the newest polls show, prioritize security factor in their selection of tourist destination. The hotel security issue is addressed in light of its preference when selecting tourism supply and services, which is an important indication of competitive advantage.

There is a considerable literature on tourism and crime, with an emphasis on the tourist as victim. This study attempts to identify aspects of criminal behaviour in which the tourist may be the perpetrator of crime and hotels may be the victim. This paper presents findings on the key issues of hotel crime as described by the security managers of eight large, five-star London hotels. Respondents were asked to discuss the types of crime they have experienced during their careers as hotel security managers, along with their modus operandi and their frequency. The security managers also indicated if there were any seasonal trends that they could identify and how the hotel environment influences the nature of crime in hotels. This exploratory study suggests that hotel crime is different from tourist crime, and identifies factors that may influence level and type of crime in hotels.
