The study explores because of the rising complexity and volume of data in medical technology, artificial intelligence (AI) will be used more frequently. Various forms of artificial intelligence (AI) have already been used by consumers and providers of care, as well as health sciences firms. Diagnose and therapy suggestions, patient involvement and compliance, and administrative tasks are the most common types of applications. Although there are numerous cases where AI can do medical technology activities as well as or superior than humans, operational issues will prohibit large-scale automation of medical technology professional positions for a long time. Moral considerations about the use of AI in medical technologies are also addressed. Healthcare is one of the most significant great achievements of modern time. Medical research and technology have advanced fast, increasing life expectancy across the worldwide. However, as life expectancy rises, healthcare systems face increased demands for their operations, rising expenses, and a staff that is failing to fulfill the requirements of its patients. Aging population, changing patients ’ expectations, a shift in lifestyle decisions, and the never-ending cycle of development are just a few of the inexorable forces driving need. The consequences of an ageing population stand out among these. Healthcare expenditure just isn't keeping pace. Medical technology will struggle to stay sustainable unless substantial structural and transformation changes are made. Healthcare also requires a larger staff, but while the world economy might produce 40 million new health-care jobs by 2030, the World Health Organization predicts a 9.9 million doctor, nurse, and midwife shortage over the same time frame. Without a question, contemporary technology has had a significant influence on every area of our lives.

The Innovations and Special Education Technology Professional Development Committee would like to extend its appreciation to the following leaders in the field of Special Education. Each of the following individuals volunteered to speak during the 2020–2021 ISET Expert Panel Discussion series and shared expertise on a variety of pressing topics during remote instruction due to the COVID pandemic. Textual passwords are still widely used as an authentication mechanism. This paper addresses the problem of textual password hardening and proposes a mechanism to make textual passwords harder to be used by unauthorized persons. The mechanismintroduces time gaps between keystrokes (latency times) that would add a second protection line to the password. Latency times are converted into discrete representation (symbols) where the sequence of these symbols is added to the password. For accessing system, an authorized person needs to type his/her password with a certain rhythm. This rhythm is recorded at the sign-up time.This work is an extension to a previous work that elaborates more on the local approach of discretizing time gaps between every two consecutive keystrokes. In addition, more experimental settings and results are provided and analyzed. The local approach considers the keying pattern of each user to discretize latency times. The average, median and min-max are tested thoroughly.Two experimental settings are considered here: laboratory and real-world. The lab setting includes students studying information technology while the other group are not. On the other hand, information technology professional individuals participated in the real-world experiment. The results recommend using the local threshold approach over the global one. In addition, the average method performs better than the other methods. Finally, the experimental results of the real-world setting support using the proposed password hardening mechanism.

The professional development of teachers in instructional technology is of paramount importance. This chapter provides an overview of the topic, beginning with adult learning as a foundation. Teachers are adults, and any type of professional development, whether related to technology or not, should meet the needs of adult learners. The chapter subsequently provides a review of professional learning communities (PLCs), which may provide a venue for impactful, sustainable technology professional development. Next, teacher-led technology professional development and peer coaching are addressed, followed by a discussion of the use of the community, corporate, and university partnerships that may enhance professional development through symbiotic relationships. The chapter concludes with a discussion of virtual professional development, which may serve a dual purpose of enhancing professional development sustainability as well as modeling technology use for instructional purposes.

This chapter explores some of the challenging issues that were raised for the author while conducting her first biggest research project as an international doctoral student at one of the United States universities. The main challenge that the author faced was the difficulty of having access to a language center to examine her technology professional development model on language teachers to explore its effectiveness in understanding the teachers' adoption and rejection decision of using education technology and to collect data for her dissertation. After choosing an alternative venue and planning to travel to the United Arab Emirates to conduct the practical part of her research at one of the UAE's universities, an academic networking event changed the course of the latest plans and had a gatekeeper assisting her in experimenting her model and conducting the rest of her study in an American university. The chapter explores some of the challenges and how the author tackled each one of them. The chapter ends with some general recommendations for graduate students and novice researchers.
