The aim: To develop recommendations aimed at optimizing the work of the Shymkent city multidisciplinary hospital by studying the main performance indicators. Methods. The research was carried out according to the traditional scheme and included the classical stages: drawing up a plan and program, collecting material, processing and analyzing it. Results. To improve the quality of medical care, targeted measures are being implemented. Thus, the design capacity of Primary Healthcare: polyclinic – 500 people per shift, actual attendance – 703 people per shift. The hospital has 330 beds. However, the rate of bed coverage per 10 000 people is low at 28.4. The overall incidence has decreased, and in 2019 it was 75 652. It was found that the number of visits to doctors has increased, thus, this figure in 2019 reached 66.5%. It was found that the volume of provision of free medicines increased and reached 47 420. The indicator of provision with medical technical means as a whole also increased and amounted to 82%. Conclusions. A set of measures aimed at improving the hospital's activities using the existing organizational structure will allow us to respond in a timely manner to changes in all areas of the hospital's activities, and the KPI system will help assess the effectiveness of managerial actions in the field of quality management to improve the quality of medical care and improve the weaknesses of healthcare facilities. Keywords: medical organization, medical care, KPI system.

AbstractCardiac rehabilitation (CR) is a multi-disciplinary intervention designed to stabilise, slow, or reverse CVD, restore health following a cardiac event and facilitate the prevention of further events. The Model of Therapeutic Engagement (MTE) is a comprehensive conceptual model for explaining the process of engagement in rehabilitation. Of concern is that the role of socio-environmental factors is absent from explaining individual engagement in the MTE. There is also a lack of prospective studies investigating the impact of socio-environmental barriers on engagement in CR programs over time. This study aimed to expand the MTE, by illuminating the role of socio-environmental barriers in a three-stage process of engagement in CR programs. A prospective study was conducted, with 217 individuals recruited from the Cardiology Ward in the Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) and the Robina Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre. The collected data were examined using a structural equation model that added socio-environmental factors into the MTE, using multi-group analyses. In this study, we found that socio-environmental factors were not associated with intention to engage in the CR program, but were related to actual attendance and maintenance of participation in CR programs. Knowing how these socio-environmental barriers affect the process of engagement at different stages may help to tailor more accessible CR programs for the population.

In 2012, the Euroscreen project published a review of incidence-based mortality evaluations of breast cancer screening programmes. In this paper, we update this review to October 2019 and expand its scope from Europe to worldwide. We carried out a systematic review of incidence-based mortality studies of breast cancer screening programmes, and a meta-analysis of the estimated effects of both invitation to screening and attendance at screening, with adjustment for self-selection bias, on incidence-based mortality from breast cancer. We found 27 valid studies. The results of the meta-analysis showed a significant 22% reduction in breast cancer mortality with invitation to screening, with a relative risk of 0.78 (95% CI 0.75–0.82), and a significant 33% reduction with actual attendance at screening (RR 0.67, 95% CI 0.61–0.75). Breast cancer screening in the routine healthcare setting continues to confer a substantial reduction in mortality from breast cancer.

We made hygienic assessment of the atmospheric air quality of the observation territory and comparison according to monitoring and field observations, carried out a comparative analysis of the respiratory system diseases morbidity of the child population according to the form of federal statistical observation and actual attendance for medical care for 2014–2017, evaluated the relationship of respiratory system diseases morbidity with the effects of the studied chemical factors. Atmospheric air poor quality for a number of substances has been established in the residential development of the observation territory. An increased morbidity rate of respiratory system diseases and certain nosological forms (chronic diseases of the tonsils and adenoids and bronchial asthma) in areas with stable atmospheric air pollution by emission components of large-scale alumina production has been established as a result of a comparative analysis of morbidity rates. We proved the dependence of the occurrence probability of additional cases of respiratory system diseases on the content in the atmospheric air of suspended solids, fine PM10, PM2.5 fractions, nitrogen dioxide, aluminum, manganese, solid and gaseous fluorides, chromium.

Attendance at college sporting events generates billions of dollars annually for athletic departments at the college level in the United States. Based on Identity Theory and prior research, we developed and tested two models that were successful in predicting actual attendance, attendance intentions (conative loyalty), and support for the team across time. Respondents (N = 165; 60% female, 59% Caucasian) filled out three surveys across the year. In Model A (RMSEA = .066, χ2/df = 50.02/29 = 1.73), prior season attendance, number of games intending to attend, and preseason team-fan role identity (Time 1) explained 63% of self-reported attendance behavior (Time 2). Those variables and postseason role identity (Time 2) explained 48.5% of attendance intentions (Time 3; Model A) and 43% of supporting the team in the future (Time 3; Model B, RMSEA = .060, χ2/df = 46.16/29 = 1.59). Sports marketers need to take into account both the impact of role identity as a fan of the team and attendance intentions, not just prior attendance behavior when predicting future attendance behavior and support for the team

A consumer’s loyalty to a specific sport team is longitudinal in nature. This longitudinal study examines the effects of consumers’ attitudinal constructs (team identification, associated attachment points, consumer satisfaction, and behavioral intentions) on behavioral loyalty in the context of a professional soccer event. To test the proposed relationships, the authors assess the impact of consumers’ self-reported measures (Time 1) on actual attendance frequency in the first half (Time 2) and the second half (Time 3) of the season. The results indicate that fan community attachment is the only construct that can predict attendance frequency over a longer period of time while team identification, satisfaction and behavioral intentions are not significant predictors of attendance frequency throughout the season. The theoretical model and results reinforce the importance of fan community attachment toward longitudinal attendance frequency and add new insights into the predictive validity of some of the attitudinal marketing measures in the field of sport management.

The current study examined relationships between sports consumption, values, and media use. In particular, the authors considered relationships between athletic or physical values, perceptions of their portrayal in the entertainment media, sports media use, athletic behaviors (attending events, playing sports), and general media use. A probability survey in a major metropolitan area revealed that sports fandom is related to the importance of being healthy, athletic, and physically fit. These findings suggest that the “passive” leisure allocations commonly ascribed to sports viewing do not displace “active” leisure in the form of actual attendance at sporting events and programs. With regard to sports competition generally, then, the authors see little support for Putnam’s (1995, 2001) metaphor of “bowling alone” (or media-induced malaise) among our sports fans.
