Under the background of new liberal arts, the construction of public management discipline should be based on the social times, the goal of talent cultivation, and the characteristics of the discipline itself, so as to meet the requirements of new liberal arts. In terms of social background, the public management discipline should not only respond to the new problems arising from the technological revolution, but also to the problems of national governance in the new era. In terms of the goal of talent cultivation, the public management discipline should not only cultivate public management professionals but also undertake the basic task of establishing virtue and cultivating talents. In terms of the characteristics of the discipline itself, the public management discipline should highlight the functional advantages of humanistic education, comprehensive discipline, and social service.

Tourism e-commerce is a multidisciplinary research area that involves tourism management and e-commerce. This paper provides a review of 1960 scientific studies published over the past two decades (1999-2018). This study presents a multidisciplinary comparative study, namely, a systematic review of tourism e-commerce, aiming to provide a reference guide for researchers. Under the methodological framework of a domain analysis, this paper analysed the scientific outputs and visualized the co-cited references, burst keywords, keyword co-occurrences and topic characteristics of journals. The results show that the tourism management discipline represents the main body of tourism e-commerce research and that this research demonstrates a rapid growth trend consistent with overall research. There are two main clusters of representative co-cited references in the tourism management discipline. However, in the e-commerce discipline, the distribution of co-cited references is scattered, lacking obvious cluster characteristics. The keyword co-occurrences in both disciplines present four themes, including network and information technology, consumer behaviour and social media as common themes. Tourism management journals can be divided into two categories, while e-commerce journals can be divided into three categories. Overall, the findings of this study can benefit researchers and practitioners.

Engineering education plays a key role in the modern economy, the development trends of which make it possible to develop requirements for the education of future metallurgical engineers and imply a reorientation to project-based training. The project approach in the training of engineers is the basis for educational programs implemented according to the CDIO (Conceive - Design - Implement - Operate) ideology. The key result of the training is the design and implementation competence of future metallurgical engineers, which is formed through design activities aimed at developing the ability to Concieve, Design, implementation, including the management (Implement) and application (Operate) of projects of various levels of complexity. At the same time, the stage of conception includes the initiation and planning of the project, and the stage of application - the completion and distribution of it. The cognitive component of design and implementation competence can be provided by the introduction of the Project Management discipline into the curriculum of bachelors. This paper analyzes the role of this discipline in the development of design and implementation competence in the education of bachelors in the Metallurgy field within the CDIO ideology with an innovative approach to its design. It is shown that the inclusion of the Project Management discipline in the curriculum of the bachelor’s degree in the Metallurgy field and its implementation in the design technology contribute to the development of design and implementation competence of bachelors according to the principles of the CDIO ideology. The implementation of the discipline in project technology meets the requirements of standards 8 (active learning), 7 (integrated learning), 5 (project learning) and allows to develop design and implementation, as well as disciplinary and interpersonal competencies. The results of the work have demonstrated the effectiveness of the project-based teaching technology, in which each participant in the educational process receives benefits that increase his competitiveness.
