Membrane technology is growing rapidlybecause of its superiority and has beenwidely applied in various industries. Thewaste of teak sawdust is increasing as thefurniture industry develops, but its utilizationis not optimal. The purpose of this study wasto determine the effect of the addition of TiO2on the mechanical properties andperformance of photocalytic membranesfrom cellulose diacetate teak sawdust forprocessing PDAM water raw materials.Cellulose isolation from teak sawdust wascarried out by adding NaOH 17.5% (b / v)and continued with cellulose bleachingprocess. Cellulose teak sawdust wassynthesized into cellulose diacetate byacetylation method. Membrane production isdone by phase inversion method withvariations in the composition of TiO2 0.25%,0.5%, 0.75% and 1% and also variations inevaporation time 20 seconds, 25 seconds,30 seconds and 35 seconds. The photocyticmembrane of cellulose diacetate from teaksawdust and TiO2 produced wascharacterized by thickness test, mechanicalproperties and performance. Photocalyticmembranes with optimum conditions arecharacterized by SEM (Scanning ElectronMicroscopy), FT-IR (Fourier TransformInfraRed) and antibacterial effectiveness. The optimum composition of thephotocatalytic membrane is 16% cellulosediacetate, 4% formamide, acetone 79% and1% TiO2 with 30 seconds evaporation time. The mechanical properties obtained werestress 1562,50000 kN / m2, strains 0.01 m /m and Young Modulus 141593,4835 kN /m2. The membrane has an averagethickness of 0.04 mm, a flux value of 683.10L.m2.hari-1, a rejection value of 97.74% andan antibacterial effectiveness of 99.57%.

Palm sugar (Arenga pinnata (Wurmb.) Merr.) is a plant belonging to the familyPalmae that functions as traditionalmedicine. The root of sugar palm containssaponins, flavonoids, and polyphenols, flavonoids which allegedly has the power todissolve calcium kidney stones. The purposeof this study to prove the ability dissolving rootsugar palm extracts to calcium kidney stonesand to determine the optimal concentration ofroot sugar palm extracts that can dissolvecalcium kidney stones. This research included trueexperimental research. Palm sugar roots wereextracted by maceration method usingmethanol: water (1:1), obtained extract wascondensed and then made a series of levels, namely: 9%, 18%, 27%, 32%, 45%,(v/v). Then from a series of levels is used tosoak of calcium kidney stones for ±5 hours at37 0C with suffle every hour. Results ofimmersion measured turbidity withTurbidimeter. Turbidity values used tocalculate the dissolved calcium content usingstandard curves of calcium oxalate. Dissolvedcalcium concentration data was then tested byone way Anova 95% confidence level. Result showed that the root extractpalm sugar with levels of 9%, 18%, 27%, 32%,45% (v/v) has the capacity to dissolve calciumkidney stones. Optimal levels of palm rootextract that can dissolve calcium kidneystones is 32% v/v. Results of statisticalanalysis using one-way anova with 95%confidence level showed no significantdifferences from each levels of root palmsugar extracts (significance <0.005).

Carpal tunnel syndrome can result fromexcessive movement in the joints can lead tocarpal synovial joints increases and tapping themedian nerve in the carpal tunnel so that itappears one of the various complaints of pain. Toreduce the pain of carpal tunnel syndrome can begiven additional mobilization of the median nerveafter ultrasound therapy which have beencommonly used in physiotherapy services in manyhospitals. To determine the effect of the mediannerve mobilization after ultrasound therapy todecrease the value of the pain of carpal tunnelsyndrome. This research uses quasi experimentalapproach, research design pre and post test twogroups design. The first group of elderly givenultrasound therapy and the second group wasgiven the mobilization of the median nerve. Thenumber of samples in this study of 12 samples, sample taker technique by purposive samplingtechnique that uses existing population criteria ofinclusion and exclusion. In the study the effect oftest used Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney testdifferent influences. Wilcoxon test results on themedian nerve mobilization group after the additionof ultrasound therapy asymp values obtained. Sig(2-tailed) = 0.026 indicates the value of p <0.05there is the influence of pain using the VAS valuereduction in carpal tunnel syndrome. From theresults of Mann Whitney test result Sig (2-tailed) =0.183 (Asymp. Sig (2-tailed)> 0.05), which meansthere is no significant difference in both groups, inthe sense that both have effects in lowering painCarpal Tunnel Syndrome. No effect of the mediannerve mobilization after ultrasound therapy todecrease the value of the pain of carpal tunnelsyndrome.

Ischemic stroke is a syndrome that has thecharacteristic of a sudden, non-occlusive attackcaused by non traumatic brain circulatorydisorder. From the preliminary study resultsobtained data that from 10 respondents obtainedis still many patients with ischemic stroke withunstable blood pressure. The purpose of thisstudy was to analyze the relationship of physicalactivity with blood pressure in stroke patients inIrna B Syamrabu Bangkalan Hospital. In this study, the type of research used iscross sectional analytic research. The populationof 32 patients in Irna B Syarifah hospital ambamirato ebu bangkalan with sample of 30 patientsthrough Simple random sampling technique.Independent variable is physical activity anddependent variable Blood pressure. Datacollection for physical activity using questionnairesheet, for blood pressure using observationsheet. Statistical test using Somer's D. Based on the result of cross-tabulation ofphysical activity relationship with blood pressurein ischemic stroke patients in IRNA B SyarifahAmbami Rato Ebhu Bangkalan Hospital showedthat from 14 ischemic stroke patients with lessphysical activity, almost all of them had unstableblood pressure, 13 respondents Based on the results of statistical tests ofSomer's D, the results obtained ρ value <α (0.05)so that H0 rejected and H1 is accepted whichmeans there is a relationship between physicalactivity with blood pressure in patients ischemicstroke. The results of this study can be used as areference or comparison for further research andas a source of patient iformasi to be able toregulate their physical activity so that bloodpressure can be stable

Background: As people get older, the condition ofcardiorespiratory fitness will decrease.Cardiorespiratory fitness is the ability of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels to take oxygen and thendistribute it to the tissues during rest and exercise. The cardiorespiratory fitness can be measured bydetermining VOmax. Low impact physical exercisesuch as gymnastics can help improvecardiorespiratory fitness and reduce the risk ofcardiovascular disease in the elderly. Elderlygymnastics is a mild exercise that is easy to do andnot burdensome if applied to the elderly. Objective:This study was conducted to determine the effect ofelderly gymnastics on cardiorespiratory fitness inthe elderly. Method: This study used quasiexperimental method with pre-test and post-test ofone group design. The sample was 17 elderly withnon-probability sampling. The sample was dividedinto 1 group i.e. the group given elderly gymnasticpractice done 3 times a week for 4 weeks. Thestudy used a Six Minutes Walking Test (SMWT)measuring instrument that was converted into theVO22max formula to measure the cardiorespiratoryfitness. The normality test was SaphiroWilk test.Hypothesis test with paired sample t-test was usedto determine the improvement of cardiorespiratoryfitness in the treatment group. Result: Hypothesistest result in treatment group with paired sample ttest obtained p = 0,000, which means there isinfluence of elderly gymnastics towardimprovement of cardiorespiratory fitness in theelderly. Conclusion: There is an influence ofelderly gymnastics on improving cardiorespiratoryfitness in the elderly. Suggestion: Further researchis suggested using more samples, longer studytime, and different measuring instruments.
