С помощью цифровой голографической микроскопии исследованы изменения морфологических и оптических параметров клеток линии HeLa, предварительно инкубированных с 5-аминолевулиновой кислотой (5-ALA), после фотодинамического воздействия (ФДВ) при вариации интенсивности возбуждающего излучения. Проведена оптимизация алгоритма сегментации клеток на их фазовом изображении. Разработанный алгоритм позволил в автоматическом режиме получать данные по большой выборке (более 600) клеток в образце. Определены морфологические и оптические параметры клеток при разных дозах ФДВ и показано логнормальное распределение среднего фазового набега клеток. Зарегистрированы изменения клеточных параметров при разных дозах облучения, инициирующих программируемую клеточную смерть и гибель клеток путем некроза. In this work the optical spectroscopy and the energy transfer processes involving the Tb3+and Tm3+ ions, have been studied in eulytite double phosphate hosts of the type Sr3Y(PO4)3 doped with various amounts of the two Ln ions. It has been found that several energy transfer and cross-relaxation processes are active in this class of materials, upon excitation in the 5D4 level of Tb, and in the 1G4 one of Tm. In particular, a Tb→Tm transfer of excitation has been found to quench strongly the 5D4 level of Tb. This process occurs with a transfer efficiency increasing from 0.08 to 0.62, for a donor concentration of 2 mol%, and an acceptor concentration increasing from 2 to 15 mol%. The emission spectra are strongly affected by the presence of Tb⟷Tm energy transfer, and Tm→Tm cross relaxation processes.

The paper presents the transmission spectra of hybrid perovskite MAPbI3 single crystals near the fundamental absorption edge in a wide temperature range. The absorption coefficient α of the single crystal samples is estimated at a temperature T = 150 K for the light with a photon energy E = 1.6 eV and at T = 40 K for E = 1.8 eV. The obtained values turned out to be several orders of magnitude smaller than the values of α for thin-film samples known from the literature. A sharp shift of the fundamental absorption edge by ~ 100 meV was observed at a temperature T1 = 160 K of the structural phase transition from the tetragonal to the orthorhombic phase. The temperature hysteresis of the shift of the fundamental absorption edge near T1 was recorded, which is characteristic of a first-order phase transition.

The luminescence excitation energy transfer in europium and terbium indole-3-carboxylates, indole-3-acetates and indole-3-propionates as well as ternary indolecarboxylates containing 1,10-phenanthroline and 2,2'-bipyridine molecules have been studied. The luminescence excitation spectra, the lifetimes of the 5D0 (Eu3+) and 5D4 (Tb3+) states, and the luminescence intensity are analyzed. The decisive role of ligand-metal charge transfer (LMCT) states in the quenching of the luminescence of europium aromatic carboxylates containing a π-excessive pyrrole or indole fragment is demonstrated. Most europium compounds are characterized by quenching due to the depopulation of the 5D0 state of the Eu3+ ion through the low-energy LMCT state. But in some ternary compounds, the LMCT state being of higher energy participates in the nonradiative depopulation of the excited electronic states of the ligand.

Дан краткий обзор работ по исследованию кристаллов, содержащих ионы металлов с незаполненной f- или d-оболочками, выполненных в Институте спектроскопии РАН методом фурье-спектроскопии высокого разрешения. Среди основных направлений исследований --- сверхтонкая структура в спектрах, изотопические эффекты, роль случайных деформаций, спектроскопия фазовых переходов, низкоразмерные магнетики, связанные электрон-фононные возбуждения. Ключевые слова: фурье-спектроскопия высокого разрешения, кристаллы с f- и d-ионами, сверхтонкая структура, изотопические эффекты, фазовые переходы.

A brief review of the features of the defect structure and studies of the luminescent properties of nonlinear optical lithium niobate crystals of various compositions and genesis was given. It was established that the electron-hole pair NbNb4+-O- in the oxygen-octahedral cluster NbO6 emitted in the short-wavelength region of the visible spectrum (400-500 nm), while point defects (VLi and NbNb4+-NbLi4+ bipolarons) - in the long-wavelength region (500-620 nm). At the ratio of Li/Nb≈1 the luminescence was extinguished in the visible region of the spectrum due to decreasing the intrinsic luminescence centers. It was shown that the presence of polaron luminescence in the near-IR region (700-1050 nm) was due to the small polarons NbLi4+ and impurity ions Cr3+ localized in lithium and niobium octahedra. The energy transfer between the luminescence centers in the visible and near-IR spectral regions was detected. Moreover, luminescence in near-IR regions was dominant. Doping of LiNbO3 crystals with zinc and magnesium at ZnO<4.46 mol.% and MgO<5.29 mol.% led to decreasing luminescence of intrinsic defects (VLi, NbNb4+-NbLi4+). However, there was an increase of the contribution of the short-wave spectrum component at higher dopant concentrations because of the introduction of Zn and Mg into the origin positions of Nb ions.

Experimental and theoretical study of submillimeter (terahertz) spectroscopic and magnetic properties of the rare-earth aluminum borate HoAl3(BO3)4 were performed at temperatures 3–300 K. In the transmittance spectra a number of resonance lines were detected at frequencies 2–35 cm–1 for different radiation polarizations. These modes were identified as transitions between the lower levels of the ground multiplet of the Ho3+ ion split by the crystal field, including both transitions from the ground state to the excited ones and transitions between the excited states. The established excitation conditions of the observed modes and the simulation of the spectra made it possible to separate the magnetic and electric dipole transitions and to determine the energies of the corresponding states, their symmetry, and the matrix elements of the transitions. Low-frequency lines that do not fit into the established picture of the electron states of Ho3+ were also found; these lines, apparently, correspond to the ions with the distorted by defects local symmetry of the crystal field.

In the infrared region of the spectrum (IR), the optical properties of single-crystal samples of narrow-gap degenerate semiconductors Bi2Se3 and Sb2Te3 are investigated by infrared spectral ellipsometry (SE). The transport properties of the Drude fitting of dielectric functions obtained by spectroscopic ellipsometry are studied. The behavior of the bulk and surface plasmon polaritons is investigated in detail. The dispersion and mean free path of the plasmon, the depth of the skin layer for the conducting and dielectric surfaces are calculated. The contribution of the plasmon to the optical properties is estimated from the spectral density for the Bi2Se3 and Sb2Te3 samples.

Raman spectroscopy, laser conoscopy and photoinduced light scattering methods have been applied to comparatively study composition uniformity of strongly doped LiNbO3 crystals with a magnesium concentration close to a threshold value ≈5 mol% MgО, grown from a charge synthesized using precursor Nb2O5:Mg (homogeneous doping method) and at direct addition of magnesium to the melt (direct doping method). It has been shown that application of homogeneous doping method allows one to obtain compositionally more homogeneous heavily doped LiNbO3:Mg crystal than direct melt doping method.

The Raman spectra of four crystals of TbFe3-хGax (BO3) 4 solid solutions (x from 0 to 0.54) were studied in the temperature range from 8 to 350 K. The temperatures of structural phase transitions were determined. The observed spectral behavior is characteristic to condensation and restoration of soft modes. Soft modes are associated with a structural phase transition from the R32 phase to the P3121 phase. The Compositions-Temperature phase diagram was constructed
