In recent years, hydrogen peroxide and nitrous oxide (1) "green oxidants" – have attracted much attention of researchers as a selective oxidizing agent for the catalytic oxidation of pyridine bases. In this regard, the reaction of pyridine oxidation by hydrogen peroxide and nitrous oxide under homogeneous conditions, in the gas phase, without the use of catalysts, at atmospheric pressure, has been experimentally investigated. Areas of selective oxidation of pyridine with hydrogen peroxide and nitrous oxide have been established, and optimal conditions have been found for obtaining valuable raw materials required in the petrochemical, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries

Differential thermal analysis and powder X-ray diffraction methods were used for phase equilibria studying in the Cu3AsSe4-GeSe2 system. It was established that wide (up to 30 mol.%) solid solutions based on Cu3AsSe4 are formed. GeSe2-rich alloys consist of various heterogeneous mixtures, including phases outside the T–x plane of this section

The essay is about studies of the electrochemical reduction of nickel ions from a glycine electrolyte by the method of recording cyclic and linear potentiodynamic polarization curves. The effect of the concentration of the main components, potential sweep and temperature on the electrodeposition process of nickel has been studied. It has been found that at the beginning of the process the electrodeposition of the nickel ions from glycine electrolyte is controlled by electrochemical polarization, which turns into concentration polarization

The addition of mercaptoacetic acid esters (MAAE) to nitriles of acrylic, methacrylic, and crotonic acids easily occurs in the presence of triethylamine as a catalyst to form the corresponding 2-cyanoal-kyl¬alkoxycarbonylmethyl sulfides

For the first time using a membrane zero-manometer, the vapor pressure S2 over the surface of the PbS liquidus in the ternary system Cu–Pb–S were determined in the range 1100÷1400 K and 0÷760 mm Hg. Based on the thermodynamic calculation, the boundaries of the immiscibility of liquid alloys of the Cu–S, Pb–S, and Cu–Pb–S systems were determined and analytically described. Critical temperatures and pressures for immiscibility regions of sulfur-rich liquid alloys are characterized by high values: Tcr= 1520÷1880 K; Pcr=170÷510 atm. The crystallization surfaces of lead sulfide with electronic conductivity (p-type PbS) and with hole conductivity (n-type PbS) are calculated and analytically de-scribed, as well as the corresponding values of sulfur vapor pressure over the crystallization surface of lead sulfide. All analytical dependencies for 3D modeling were obtained and visualized using the OriginLab computer program

The paper is devoted to the study of regularities of radical copolymerization reactions of unsaturated cyclic N,N'-bisimides (M1) with styrene (M2), the study of dependence of copolymerization reaction rate, composition of obtained copolymers, composition and estimated molecular weight on the composition of the initial monomer mixture. With the increase of bismaleimide amount in the initial monomer mixture a decrease of copolymerization reaction yield and molecular weight of the obtained copolymers was observed. This fact can be explained by active participation of bismaleimide in chain transfer in radical copolymerization reaction. The composition of the obtained copolymers in all cases is rich in styrene links

Complexation of scandium 2-hydroxy-5-T-butylphenol-4-metoxyazobenzene (HR) was studied by atomic-absorption and spectrophotometric methods. Optimum conditions of formation and extraction of the complex were found. Maximum light absorbance of a complex in n-butanol is in the range of 470÷480 nm. Molar absorption coefficient equals to (2.2–3.0).104. Stability constant of scandium in n-butanol is л=2.8·1010. Selective and sensitive techniques of extraction-atomic absorption determination of scandium in soils were developed

When extracting aluminum from the alunite ore of the Zaglik deposit by leaching, silicon, which is part of the alunite, passes into solution in the form of a silicate ion in a small amount. Silicon in solution not only degrades the quality of the produced alumina but also contributes to the clogging of pipes and equipment during its production. In this work, we investigated the dynamics of the distribution of silicon in the liquid phase upon leaching of raw alunite at room temperature and heating in an alkaline solution. A method of extracting silicon from an aluminate solution is proposed to obtain high-quality aluminum hydroxide. Desilication was carried out by recirculating the parent solution. The silicon dioxide sorption ability from the solution of the material, which was obtained as a result of acid activation of alunite mud, was investigated. It was found that alunite mud activated with sulfuric acid, in comparison with non-activated mud, has the ability to separate the silicate ion from the aluminate solution with a higher percentage of yield

A study was made of the interaction of thiourea with saturated and unsaturated organosilicon oxiranes in absolute methyl alcohol in a medium of potassium hydroxide, and methods were developed for the synthesis of unsaturated and unsaturated organosilicon silicides with a yield of 65–75%.The studies carried out revealed that the synthesized organosilicon episulfides are very reactive compounds and can react with nucleophilic and electrophilic reagents, while forming the corresponding silicon derivatives. The IR- spectra of the products were studied. It should be noted that, when comparing the IR- spectra of oxiranes and episulfides, it was revealed that the stretching vibrations of the CH2 group of the episulfide ring are underestimated by 50–70 cm-1 in comparison with the oxirane ring

Thermodynamic properties of the Sb2Te3 compound were studied by measuring electromotive force (EMF) with a liquid electrolyte in the temperature range of 300-450 K. The partial molar functions of antimony in alloys and the corresponding standard integral thermodynamic functions of the Sb2Te3 compound were calculated for the first time based on the EMF measurements under standard conditions. Comparative analysis of obtained results with literature data was carried out
