Recent computing world has seen rapid growth of the number of middle and large scale enterprises that deploy business processes sharing variety of services available over cloud environment. Due to the advantage of reduced cost and increased availability, the cloud technology has been gaining unbound popularity. However, because of existence of multiple cloud service providers on one hand and varying user requirements on the other hand, the task of appropriate service composition becomes challenging. The conception of this chapter is to consider the fact that different quality parameters related to various services might bear varied importance for different user. This chapter introduces a framework for QoS-based Cloud service selection to satisfy the end user needs. A hybrid algorithm based on genetic algorithm (GA) and Tabu Search methods has been developed, and its efficacy is analysed. Finally, this chapter includes the experimental analysis to present the performance of the algorithm.

With the explosive increase in regular E Commerce users, online commerce companies must have more customer friendly websites to satisfy the personalized requirements of online customer to progress their market share over competition; Different individuals have different purchase requirements at different time intervals and hence novel approaches are often required to be deployed by online retailers in order to identify the latest purchase requirements of customer. This research work proposes a novel MR apriori algorithm and system design of a tool called IMSS-SE, which can be used to blend benefits of Apriori-based Map Reduce framework with Intelligent technologies for B2C E-commerce in order to assist the online user to easily search and rank various E Commerce websites which can satisfy his personalized online purchase requirement. An extensive experimental evaluation shows that proposed system can better satisfy the personalized search requirements of E Commerce users than generic search engines.

Cold Chain addresses subset of supply chain involving production, storage and distribution of products that require ‘level of temperature control' to retain ‘key characteristics and associated value' in terms of life expectancy and perishability. Successful cold chain management is essential for pharmaceutical companies, transportation providers and health care practitioners. With growing population and their demand; especially in retail and pharmaceutical sectors drives Indian cold chain market and it has huge potential to grow in the near future. India's greatest need is for an effective and economically viable cold chain solution that will integrate the supply chains for all commodities from the production centers to the consumption centers; thereby reducing physical waste and loss of value of perishable commodities. This article highlights the importance of cold chain concepts with Indian business scenario. Strategic planning of cold supply chain and their real value towards good manufacturing practices are critically highlighted.

The purpose of this conceptual paper is to introduce one of the controversial issues in the business world which is labeled blue ocean strategy, this study also highlight blue ocean`s barriers like imitation and emulation. Brief comparison between competitive environment (Red Oceans) strategy and blue ocean strategy and also importance of role of management in using blue ocean strategy to increase return for the firms are issues that explained. The review of the research contains role of innovation and its value for this strategy to help the firms survive in competitive market. First movers and second fast imitators also are the issues that in this study explain about their advantages and disadvantages in brief comparison.

Internet plays a vital role for doing the business. It provides platform for creating huge number of customers for ease of business. E-business organizations are growing rapidly and doubly in every minute; World Wide Web (WWW) provides huge information for the Internet users. The accesses of user's behavior are recorded in web logs. This information seems to be very helpful in an E-business environment for analysis and decision making. Mining of web data come across many new challenges with enlarged amount of information on data stored in web logs. The search engines play key role for retrieving the relevant information from huge information. Nowadays, the well-known search engines, like Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc. have provided the users with good search results worked on special search strategies. In web search services the web page ranker component plays the main factor of the Google. This paper discusses the new challenges faced by web mining techniques, ranking of web pages using page ranking algorithms and its application in E-business analysis to improve the business operations.

In the given study we have undertaken a comprehensive analysis on the simulation of different products emerging out from the assembly line. The study starts from collection of point of view of different authors from various studies. Then it has been found that the system of distributed manufacturing can be used to prepare a model that can be simultaneously simulated. The introduction of systems under a bigger system is introduced for accommodating the complete supply chain in a single diagram. The system is then implemented with the help of Petri NET software and the operational parameters are analysed by the output. The case study undertaken is of a cable manufacturing firm in which the methodology suggested is implemented and it is validated that such a methodology can help on controlling the different systems from a single point of control.

Automated exploration of groups of customers to understand customer behavior from raw data is highly required to support strategic decision making given the pressure of competitive market. Several mathematical and statistical methods have been applied for autonomous model estimation from multivariate data. The current paper investigates employability of new generation of bio-inspired metaheuristic algorithms, named the artificial immune system (AIS), which in the current proposition, learn through density based kernels. As such the model simulates probabilistic behavior of the dendritic cells (DCs) during recognition of the antigens and danger signals, whose learning has been modeled with an infinite Gaussian mixture model. The unsupervised learning capability of the model has been found to be effective for multivariate data.
