The use of packaging materials is important in the pharmaceutical industry. The pharmaceutical industry uses, as primary packaging materials, glass bottles, blister packs, caps and closures, glass vials, sealed tubes. The aim of this study is to perform global component migration analyses on these types of packaging, to see if there is a possibility of migration of components from the pharmaceutical package into the drug, so as not to alter in any way its therapeutic properties. The results obtained from the processing of the extracts obtained were below the maximum limits allowed for each category of packaging, respectively, plastic, paper and cardboard, glass.

The purpose of this paper is to present the design and implementation of a system that combines the hardware with the software resulting in an intelligent system of sockets that can be controlled and monitored remotely. The Arduino Mega 2560 performs the basic function and provides the information gathered from the sensors (Hall effect current sensor, motion sensor, dual temperature and humidity sensor). General system information is displayed locally on an LCD screen. The system protects the connected equipment by disconnecting the power supply in case of hazard; but can also be controlled remotely via a web application by the user.

The evolution of small drone technology raises new challenges regarding personal privacy due to the acquisition and flight of unlicensed small drones. Many of these small drones are controlled over Wi-Fi connection making them inexpensive and easy to control. Latest discoveries in vulnerabilities of wireless network protocols give us the advantage to use cyber-attacks as a method of defense. This paper is addressing general audience on how to create a personal shield against small drones with the advantage of being nonintrusive to the other surrounding wireless networks and, at the same time, protecting your personal privacy of a rogue drone.

This study highlights the weldability of austempered ductile iron (ADI) using laser welding. SEM, EDS and XRD analysis were performed on fusion lines, heat affected zone (HAZ) and melted zone (MZ). Welding speed (Ws) and laser power (P) were varied. The heat affected zone is composed of graphite, perlite and martensite; the melted and solidified zone contains graphite, ferrite and cementite. XRD results are in accordance with SEM micrographs.

Current deep neural networks are achieving higher and higher performances, but this comes to a great computational cost which creates a difficulty to use them on embedded platforms like smartphones, tables, autonomous cars. Fortunately, this can be addressed using quantization techniques, one of which is the ternarization when only 3 bits are used.

The paper presents the research on the disruptive influences of electrical current variation - it has been analytically determined how measurement resistances can influence these variations. The variance relationships of the current ratios were determined on the basis of the theory of variable electrical circuits for the special case of an inductive coupling. It was studied also the effect of measuring resistors as a function of frequency on the signal integrity.
