Introduction. Consider the system of organization and implementation of risk management in the building enterprise. The introduction and management of risks in an industrial enterprise is an actual problem due to the occurrence of the following list of factors: incomplete information, elements of randomness, unpredictability of actions of a partner or competitor, among others. Risk management is a process that must begin at the development stage of a industrial company’s strategy, and necessarily with the participation of its owners, since it is the owners who, when developing a strategy, should determine the maximum level of total risk that the industry company will be ready to accept in the course of its activities. Risk management in industrial enterprises should be implemented within the framework of the system and process approaches, taking into account the specifics of the industry using modern effective management methods and production organizations, as well as using risk management tools. Materials and methods. The methodology of the continuous risk management process was used to study the industry organization and implementation of risk management, and systems analysis, modeling and synthesis methods were used. Results. It was determined that the creation of a risk management department is appropriate for effective risk management at the industry enterprise. The main responsibilities of this unit, including for staff and other users (including employees, consultants and contractors), in order to successfully implement the management strategy, require unconditional implementation to minimize risks and eliminate costs in implementing risk management. It was revealed that as a result of introducing risk management in industry enterprises of various industries, a set of measures should be developed to evaluate the operational risks of an enterprise, integral risk, quantitative assessment of which is based on a comprehensive analysis of financial and accounting reports, and conducting an integrated risk assessment based on all levels of responsibility within the industrial enterprise. Conclusions. Risk management at industrial enterprises should be carried out within the framework of the system and process approaches, taking into account the specifics of the industry using modern effective management methods and production industrial organizations, as well as using risk management tools.

The article summarizes international approaches to creating effective management tools that enable operational management of school nutrition programs of various scales — monitoring and evaluation systems. M&E system, as a project management tool, is the most relevant and appropriate way to reduce the level of uncertainty and ensure the effectiveness of management decisions, using the possibilities of digitalization. The paper suggests ways to create basic tools of the system for monitoring and evaluating national school nutrition programs and the national plan for the M&E system of the school nutrition program in Russia.

Virginia creeper and wild grape are troublesome perennial vines that often infest Christmas tree plantations. Field studies were conducted to evaluate Fraser fir injury and Virginia creeper and wild grape control with directed applications of triclopyr (1,680 g ai/ha) alone and in combination with 2,4-D (1,120 g ai/ha), clopyralid (280 g ai/ha), and halosulfuron (36 g ai/ha). Additional treatments included 2,4-D, clopyralid, glyphosate (1,120 g ai/ha), halosulfuron, hexazinone (560 g ai/ha), mesotrione (105 g ai/ha), and sulfometuron (71 g ai/ha) applied alone; and a mixture of hexazinone plus mesotrione. In the triclopyr-containing treatments, Fraser fir injury ranged from 6 to 13% at 1 mo after treatment (MAT) and was 4 to 8% at 11 MAT. Leader growth was not impacted by the herbicide treatments. At 11 MAT, all triclopyr-containing treatments controlled Virginia creeper 93 to 98% and wild grape 98 to 100%, which was greater than the control observed with glyphosate at 63 and 59%, respectively. Virginia creeper and wild grape control with 2,4-D was 88 to 90%. Clopyralid, halosulfuron, hexazinone, hexazinone plus mesotrione, mesotrione, and sulfometuron provided less than 66% control of both perennial vines. Directed applications of triclopyr-containing treatments or 2,4-D were effective management tools for selective removal of wild grape and Virginia creeper from Fraser fir Christmas tree plantations. Additional research is needed on the potential sensitivity of other commonly grown Christmas tree species to triclopyr-containing treatments.

The paper addresses the issues of changing the structure and content of the system of higher education in response to requests coming from the state and society. As it is argued, one of the most effective management tools for universities is networking. In practice this means that educational institutions should cooperate in order to find solutions to common tasks and goals and draw on various resources (i.e. material, informational and technological, scientific etc.) making them available to all participants. The paper highlights the contradiction between the future specialists’ need for innovational technologies and the impossibility to fulfill it in the rapidly changing settings of the modern society.

Fusarium head blight (FHB) is an economically important plant disease. Some Fusarium species produce mycotoxins that cause food safety concerns for both humans and animals. One especially important mycotoxin-producing fungus causing FHB is Fusarium graminearum. However, Fusarium species form a disease complex where different Fusarium species co-occur in the infected cereals. Effective management strategies for FHB are needed. Development of the management tools requires information about the diversity and abundance of the whole Fusarium community. Molecular quantification assays for detecting individual Fusarium species and subgroups exist, but a method for the detection and quantification of the whole Fusarium group is still lacking. In this study, a new TaqMan-based qPCR method (FusE) targeting the Fusarium-specific elongation factor region (EF1α) was developed for the detection and quantification of Fusarium spp. The FusE method was proven as a sensitive method with a detection limit of 1 pg of Fusarium DNA. Fusarium abundance results from oat samples correlated significantly with deoxynivalenol (DON) toxin content. In addition, the whole Fusarium community in Finnish oat samples was characterized with a new metabarcoding method. A shift from F. culmorum to F. graminearum in FHB-infected oats has been detected in Europe, and the results of this study confirm that. These new molecular methods can be applied in the assessment of the Fusarium community and mycotoxin risk in cereals. Knowledge gained from the Fusarium community analyses can be applied in developing and selecting effective management strategies for FHB.

Orientation: Research on the existence of the relationship between the GTPs and TM has been necessitated by the significant organisational resources invested in the administration of GTPs. Withal, the valueof GTPs to an organisation’s TM initiatives needs to be ascertained because both variables are applied to ensurethat future staffing requirements are met.Research purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between the graduate trainee program (GTP) and talent management (TM) in corporate organisations in Eswatini.Motivation for the study: Corporates need toexplore administering GTPs as structured processes such as workplace training and development programs so that they significantly contribute to TM.Research approach/design and method: A quantitative explanatory design was applied to carry out the study. The population was five corporate organisations in Eswatini that administer GTPs. The respondents weregraduate trainees (GTs),who met all the requirements prescribed by the inclusion criteria.Main findings: While the results indicated a null hypothesis in the relationship between GTPs and TM a strong correlation was found. The conclusion drawn is that the strong correlation (r = 0.511), between GTPs and TM, is attributed to the lack of integration and the parallel and independent administration of GTPs to TM, which invalidated a link between the two variables.Practical/managerial implications: The value to be derived by corporates administering GTPs may be elusive if the relationship between GTPs and TM remains unexplored.Contribution/value-add: Corporate organisationswill administer GTPs as effective management tools applied to ensure TM.
