Military-applied sports are effective means of physical, moral and psychological training of servicemen for combat activities. A single universal program for training cadets by means of military pentathlon is not described in the special literature. The goal is to summarize the experience of building the training process in military all-around in military universities. 40 coaches of national teams in military pentathlon of 7 universities of Ukraine were surveyed. Results. Physical training of cadets by means of military pentathlon contributes to the formation of their professionalism - it improves applied skills, physical and functional readiness for combat operations. Sports result in military pentathlon to the greatest extent depends on the level of development of athletes' aerobic and speed-power endurance, as well as speed-power qualities. Most often, an obstacle course and throwing are combined in one workout. Regardless of the training period, most of the time is devoted to cross training. Conclusions. The opinions of the coaches on the key issues of building the training process differ significantly, which means that there is no single training methodology for military pentathletes in the universities of Ukraine. Research on the establishment of a scientifically grounded ratio of training volumes of military pentathletes is urgent.

In the period 2013—2014, a study was conducted on the market of services for the formation of work groups, taking into account the types of work groups and processes of group dynamics occurring in socio-psychological training. For the basic typology of work groups authors used the Y.M. Zhukov, A.V. Zhuravlev, E.N. Pavlova model. Based on the results of a specially conducted expert survey aimed at identifying the needs of organizations in the formation of work groups, four main types of training for the formation of work groups were identified and characterized, they were named: “Inspiration”, “Challenge”, “Adjusting” and “Joint decision”. As the analysis showed, each type of training is aimed at actualizing certain processes of group dynamics. The survey of the conducted empirical research made it possible to draw a conclusion about the interrelations of the development of the processes of group and socio-psychological management of work groups of various types. The results of this work are unique and can be used for practical purposes to effectively form work groups in organizations. In addition, they represent a methodological value for the training of specialists in the field of management and organizational psychology.

Development of self-efficacy scales allows the analysis of athletes’ perceptions and examination of the relationship between perception and performance. The aim of this paper was to: (1) develop a specific self-efficacy scale in a taekwondo task, the roundhouse kick, and (2) analyse the sport performance and its relationship with two self-efficacy scales (specific and general) outcomes according to the athletes’ gender. Forty-three taekwondo athletes (33 male and 10 female) participated in this study. The Physical (PSE) and Specific (RKSES) self-efficacy scales were administered. Performance data (impact force and total response time) were acquired by athletes kicking twice to an instrumented target. Results showed that the specific self-efficacy scale has high reliability and is able to predict sport performance in males and females. Males had higher self-efficacy scores and also higher performance results than females. Females’ taekwondo psychological training should be focus on improving their self-efficacy perception in order to increase their performance in the roundhouse kick. This specific self-efficacy scale for the taekwondo roundhouse kick offers empirical information to coaches, sport psychologists and researchers that allow them to predict athletes’ sport performance in the roundhouse kick.
