: Maxillofacial surgeons and Prosthodontist deal with rehabilitation of defects of orofacial region but understanding the mental attitude of patients is often ignored or neglected. Success of any prosthesis relies on patient’s compliance and motivation to adjust and cope up with irreversible loss. Evaluation of psychological distress and management of the same is of utmost importance. Literature is deficit with an elaborate systematic classification system to evaluate the impact of maxillofacial defect on the psychological status of patients and role of therapy on improvement post-rehabilitation.: Am of this study is to propose a customized comprehensive protocol for evaluation of psychological status using ICD-11 classification system before and after maxillofacial prosthetic intervention and impact of psychological management tools on the same.: Ten patients with maxillofacial defects reporting for prosthetic rehabilitation were selected. Psychological evaluation tool, ICD-11 classification system was applied pre and post rehabilitation by two independent observers. Customized psychological management protocol was formulated and implemented to note the impact on overall improvement in psychological status of the patient.: Patients with severe personality trait showed varied levels of improvement ranging from no change to mild. Five patients with moderate personality trait showed improvement and change in personality trait to mild on implementation of psychological tools. Statistical evaluation could not be done due to multitude of subjective variables.: ICD-11 can be used as a successful tool for psychological evaluation of patients. Necessary intervention at every level in form of family support, support groups, psychological therapeutic modalities and therapies can improve status of the patient. A well-structured management protocol helps in early recognition of psychological distress and systematic management of the same to improve clinical outcome of the rehabilitation procedure.: Patients with maxillofacial defects experience a progressive cycle of loss and grief. This diminishes their ability to adjust to stress and acceptability towards maxillofacial prosthetic rehabilitation procedure. Assessment of psychological alteration using a standardized classification system and utilization of therapeutic modalities to deal with the same helps in successful rehabilitation and restoration of patient in the society as a whole.

Behavioural and emotional problem is commonly reported in childhood, some cases require psychological management. Non-directive therapeutic play or child-led play that always involve spontaneous drawing, is one of the most natural and potential means to work with children, yet it is not being fully utilised and explored. This is a single case study, of a 6-year-old girl, referred for therapeutic child-led play skill session for being easily irritable and aggressive at home. Following 20 sessions with a trained therapeutic play practitioner, mother reported marked improvement in her child’s emotional regulation. We explored the child’s emotional standing when she was drawing, as well as the changes that evolved as we analysed series of drawings she produced throughout the therapy.  We conclude that careful analyses of spontaneous drawing, coupled with in-session behavioural observation, and reflection, emotional state of the child can be tacit. This information is consistent with parent-reported scoring.

In this paper, we intend to address the most non-addressed issue among social and behavioural management, which is the psychological behaviour of firms toward their employees and therefore toward process performance. Apart from being socially and environmentally responsible, sustainability concept has underlined the importance of the psychological management of teems and individuals to bring together all ingredients that sustain the so awaited sustainability. Until today, the most successful firms strive to create the best productive work environment that can be offered, but still cannot reach the expected results. Yet, the most common mistake that firms tend to ignore is what stands behind minds because motivation is far from being material; it is a complex concept that appeals to leaders’ strategic awareness and intelligence.

The development of a college students’ psychological management system has become an essential indicator to monitor and prevent the psychological crisis. University student management databases accumulate massive data, but the conventional data processing tasks are restricted to simple statistical analysis, storage, and query management. This paper discusses the application of big data technology for the current psychological management system by investigating psychological crisis screening indicators. Data mining techniques are used to realize the dynamic management of psychological early warning data, real-time monitoring of high-risk groups’ psychology, and improvement of the accuracy and effectiveness of early identification and warning of students’ psychological crisis. Based on a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis, we conduct a series of studies on three typical types of network public opinions, i.e., Internet rumors, online public opinions of college students, and emergent public health incidents in terms of the transmission mechanism, early warning, and decision-making mechanism, as well as the evolution mechanism of the network public opinion.

Mental health is an important basic condition for college students to become adults. Educators gradually attach importance to strengthening the mental health education of college students. This paper makes a detailed analysis and research on college students’ mental health, expounds the development and application of clustering analysis algorithm, applies the distance formula and clustering criterion function commonly used in clustering analysis, and makes a specific description of some classic algorithms of clustering analysis. Based on expounding the advantages and disadvantages of fast-clustering analysis algorithm and hierarchical clustering analysis algorithm, this paper introduces the concept of the two-step clustering algorithm, discusses the algorithm flow of clustering model in detail, and gives the algorithm flow chart. The main work of this paper is to analyze the clustering algorithm of students’ mental health database formed by mental health assessment tool test, establish a data mining model, mine the database, analyze the state characteristics of different college students’ mental health, and provide corresponding solutions. In order to meet the needs of the psychological management system based on the clustering analysis method, the clustering analysis algorithm is used to cluster the data. Based on the original database, this paper establishes the methods of selecting, cleaning, and transforming the data of students’ psychological archives. Finally, it expounds on the application of data mining in students’ psychological management system and summarizes and prospects the implementation of the system.

Although medications have shown great efficacies in managing generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), recent evidence shows that patients tend to psychotherapy as their first-line of management due to the frequency of side effects resulting from the prolonged use of these medications. Psychotherapy is defined as the using certain and defined psychological modalities for the management of an emotional or mental illness on the condition that the aim and deadline of the therapy have been pre-determined. In this review, we present a brief about the psychological management of patients with GAD. We have identified three psychological modalities for the management of GAD as previous studies have compared them to the usual care by pharmacological modalities or a placebo. These include cognitive-behavioral (CBT), interpersonal, and supportive therapies. We found that management of GAD using CBT, interpersonal or supportive therapies is significantly efficacious in reducing GAD symptoms and increase the possibilities of recovery in addition to reducing the recovery or relapse rates. By doing this, we expect that the managed patient’s quality of life would be improved. We also recommend that the management approach should be case-sensitive for each patient depending on the patient’s status, the severity of the disease, and the responsiveness of the patient.

Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is among the most common neurobehavioral disorders presenting for treatment in children and adolescents. ADHD is often chronic with prominent symptoms and impairment spanning into adulthood. During the past decade, epidemiological studies have documented high rates of comorbid conditions among individuals with ADHD. In the absence of adequate identification of its comorbidities and secondary symptoms, it has an impact on the behavioural and academic outcomes in the long run. Research highlights the psycho educational effectiveness that focused on the relative/caregivers of ADHD as better understanding and knowledge of the disorder improves treatment adherence, quality of life, and decreased symptoms of ADHD. Therefore, the chapter intends to throw light on the classification of ADHD, its assessment, and psychological management for better outcomes in children.
